This was my first Dreamcatcher related experience and I literally thought she was the English speaker of the group and studied abroad, kind of like Tiffany from Girls' Generation.
She was the first ever person to make me tear up just by their singing. I still get teary eyes listening to it. Watch her cover of Overdose. That is something to behold as well. I am pretty sure Disney saw this, I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets a call from them in the future.
Seriously..there's like a handful of songs in the history of music that almost bring me to tears every time I listen to them. This cover is one of them. So powerful.

I will never forget that Disney recognized this cover of Siyeon. They leave a comment man! This cover always gives me goosebumps. Siyeon really knows how to tell the song's story.

Can't wait for you to start reacting to the covers and special clips. Technically, transitioning from stomach voice to throat voice to head voice seamlessly and flawlessly .. in one sentence .. without disrupting the melody .. is extremely difficult to muster.
Siyeon is one of my favorite vocalists, shes so incredibly powerful and stable. Its so nice to see people recognizing her so much more. I can't wait to see how much stronger she gets.
Oh yeah someone pointed out how her voice has that ringing to it as well. I dunno what the name of it or how to describe it myself but when she sings she has that natural ringing on it.
Hi Aaron, just wanted to say that you are pronouncing her name wrong. It should be pronounced as "Shiyeon", because if you look at how it's writen in hangul it's 시연 , and in hangul 시 is always pronounced "shi" instead of "si". Great video!
I think what draws you to Siyeon's voice is that she has this kind-of rocker flavor in her singing. Like, it's her signature style. She can sing in other style, sure, but I feel that her vocal shines really well with rock music (which is why it works with Dreamcatcher's music). At least that's just what I've been thinking all this time.
You've put your finger exactly on what I love so much about Siyeon (from a musical standpoint, anyway; I have many other reasons :P). It's not just that she _has_ an incredible voice, but her knowledge of how to _use_ it is phenomenal. This song illustrates the breath control, diction and versatility that she has. But even when she's providing backing vocals, she seems to know _exactly_ what to do to best compliment whoever's leading. Next time you listen to a DC song (especially older ones; in the last couple of releases, Yoohyeon has been helping with backing too), listen for the harmonies and adlibs; that's almost invariably Siyeon's work, enhancing fantastic songs even further...

Totally agree that her vocals transcend kpop and her voice is just one of the best ever - one of a kind attractive tone and complete vocal control. I honestly don't think that this cover could be improved on. I highly recommend you check out Yoohyeon's covers too, especially Secret Love Song, it is another cover fuelled by emotion and powerful vocals. They both became my bias and wrecker because of their voices, I utterly fell in love. To be honest, every single Dreamcatcher girl has strong vocals. If you search Boca live by Esquire Korea there is a really good video of them singing it in good quality and it will blow you away how close they sound to the cd. When I first heard this song I didn't know anything about it or where it came from. I thought she was singing about being a woman in Korea. I'm sure she was drawn to the song because of the way women are treated there.
