HONEST REACTION to [MV] 화사 (Hwa Sa) - LMM 

LMM actually means Lost My Mind, and yes, just like ‘Maria’ she’s talking about the multiple personalities inside her, and they’re clashing. The arrows represent the amounts of hates she receives, but none hits her except the one she threw at herself. ‘Herself’ in this context is also her other personality which doesn’t want to go on anymore with the idol life,who just wants to end it all. In a bid to stop the other hwasa who still wants to go on, she shot her with an arrow. And that’s the only one that hit her. Which means only hwasa can hurt herself. The wound eventually heals quickly and hwasa kept walking to freedom It’s has more deeper meaning tho but I’m too lazy to type

LMM = Lost My Mind. Hwasa said one day after work she went home and suddenly had hard time breathing and she cried a lot, she felt uneasy about her future and couldn't think of anything happy. She felt like throwing up and just wanted to run away. She wrote how she felt in LMM lyrics. In the mv she's just living her life when those arrows appears, there is this constant presence of arrows but not at night, when ppl are sleeping she's free from the unjustified hate they throw at her. Some arrows enter even in the place she is living, so she decides to go away from that place. The only arrow able to reach her body is the one she shoots herself, stabbing her in the back. Basically it means she's not hurt at all by what people say about her, what really destroys her is self-criticism, when she treats herself badly. You never see her running away or panicking, she doesn't fall down even when that arrow hits her back. In that moment she decides to go back to her place and faces head on those arrows. The amount of arrows keep on growing and in the end they are so many to cover the sky, but none of them can touch Hwasa. In the last scene she's unharmed surrounded by arrows, it's almost like those arrows created a flowery meadow. Calling back the phrase that open the mv "Flowers do bloom even in rain falling down". Hwasa symbol is a flower and those arrows raining down are the hate people keep throwing at her, so this means I will bloom even if you keep on hating me.

Hwasa herself said in the interview that she was feeling very down while writing lyrics to LMM and she poured everything in that song, it's highly HIGHLY personal song for her, and it can be heard in every second💔

This song sounds like an epic fantastical movie soundtrack to me, it really is immersive

Hwasa is an amazing singer but also a performer and writer.

Mamamoos solos are mostly about themselves. You will feel their personalities in the solos songs they had released. Each members have different personality, thus each of their solo projects are very different within each members. Stanning mamamoo really is stanning 4 soloists at the same time. Their works have no redundancy. They are variety. Hwasa's works are always so angsty and immersive. She writes stuff sooo deep, i almost think she's a poet. Her artistry flows so so much in her solo works. Hwasa is one talented artist.. She isnt only capable of releasing good songs, but she's also the mastermind of the progress behind it. It feels so satisfying when an artist is very involved in her work, as it make the result of the project feels so 'her'. Fly high Ahn Hyejin.. A treasure indeed.

" Flowers do bloom even in Rain falling down" Sometimes we just feel suffocated due to all the questions and the overthinking but at the end every bad moment will pass by . The song explains how we should endure our pain and move on like flowers despite its delicateness they have enough power to survive under the rain .

The thing about Hwa Sa, even if I can't speak nor understand korean, her songs really hit hard & pluck strings inside me just by listening to them

Wow, you can see from the kind of comments here what an impression this song has left on many, including me. I like her new song Bless U just as much, again with a strong message. Unfortunately, there is no official release on RU-vid... And somehow it's a pity that so little was done with this song. It has so much more potential and is really good. So I can only recommend it for enjoyment. Edit: FOMO has got MV and it is visually electrifying. It makes you long to dance in a club again with a chilling dance atmosphere. It's all about vibe and atmosphere with her great dancers. The black and white aesthetic, Hwasa are gorgous.

Keep in mind she pours her soul into her craft. Putting her pain out there and facing it head on is so meaningful to me. She gives inspiration to me through her music. A simply flawless song. Keep making these reactions. You 🎸

In a "last minute" decision, she sang LMM live, instead of her practiced and scheduled, I Love My Body, at an awards show, just 2 days after the tragic death, by suicide, of Parasite (movie), My Mister (series) actor Lee Sun-Kyun! She changed her song in order to address the public shaming and bullying he was getting because of alleged drug use when, in fact, he was being blackmailed!! Because the "arrows" in her mv represent the bullying remarks, she also publicly shamed the police for publicly naming him, as he was supposed to be a witness in their investigation. Yet, over 6 months, the police allowed the media to make him a suspect in crimes he was never charged with! Lee was cleared of any crimes one month after his death! I believe, by her singing this song just 2 days after, she was the catalyst in changing public opinion and brought justice for him, as artists, celebrities, directors all came out and lobbied for transparency on the police investigation! She is a brave and beautiful role model.

Listening to HWASA sing this song, I don’t know why my tears also fell. Her moving voice seems to sing deep in my heart. She is my favorite ❤️❤️❤️ Listening to Hwasa singing will make you feel that her magnetic voice seems to sing in your ears. She is such amazing 😍

LMM (Lost my Mind) will always be special to my heart. Even if you don't know the MASSIVE struggles she has faced - really, there are so many shocking things that she has suffered - one can still tell that she has experienced pain through the lyrics and instrumental. I know you don't particularly enjoy MAMAMOO songs, and that's ok. I'm glad you appreciate their talent tho. It's honestly heartbreaking because they have suffered greatly in the industry for not fitting into standards... This is especially true for Hwasa. In the past, some people actually petitioned for her to be removed from the group because she was "ugly" and "fat," and since then there have been many who say she is a copycat, or that she's untalented, not beautiful, and much much worse things (just see on twitter). This song is the product of all the hate she has received. Each arrow is a hate comment aimed at her, and she shows that none of them hit her. Not unless she's the one who shoots the arrow/insult at herself, as if to emphasize how strong yet vulnerable she is. Although she can not be hurt by others, she is still human and is hurt when her own self esteem comes crashing down. No words can describe the emotions I have felt while listening to this song. It's just too precious to me.

last scene also may mean that when raining rain or hate...flowers bloom..she can still transcend and love herself

Although this is a solo song from Hwasa, as a person who likes Mamamoo, the lyrics are more like narrating the confusion of the group direction, because it uses a lot of "we", "us" and "ours". As a group that is always subject to many rude attacks, Mamamoo’s youngest, Hwasa is arguably the most vulnerable target. Hwasa knows very well that the last straw that can crush the camel is only herself (in the MV she shot an arrow but the arrow hit herself ), and only with a firm will, the flower will always bloom. For me, this is a sad, helpless, but positive song, and I love it so much ~ (Sorry that English is not my native language, I hope you will not fail to understand my personal opinion XD)

Many actually think that hwasa has always been the most famous member out of mmm. When that was never the case she was the least fav member of the fandom and in the beginning there was even a petition for kicking her out the group because she seemed weird to them. Literally hwasa bias had 0 content of her before 2018. It was 2018 where she gained the attention of the General public of SK. It was then the hatred for her also gained with the success. Till now there isn’t a day in her life where she didn’t receive hate comments. She is really a very hardworking and talented artist. That is still very underrated.

I'll try not to repeat too much of what others have already commented. Imo the lyrics and the MV express different parts of her experience. They complement each other but the MV isn't a literal acting out of the lyrics so it's not "she sings this line and expresses it by doing this in the MV." In the lyrics I think the person she's talking to is herself while also asking us whether we've felt this way and share the same feeling of being overwhelmed and having Lost My Mind. The MV gives us some insight into the causes, context and outcome of her feelings and thoughts. The arrows represent all the hate she receives and her feeling of being under attack no matter what she does, where she goes, or how much she tries to withdraw and avoid it, which is why the arrows keep coming and follow her when she goes from outdoors (being in the public eye) to the living room, the bedroom (her private life) and finally the womblike space of her innermost thoughts. However, the arrows never strike home and shooting herself represents her realization that self-hate is the only thing that can truly damage her and the slings and arrows of outrageous netizens can only hurt her if she lets them. After this revelation she no longer feels so lost and is ready to face reality. I think you noticed that in the final scene she faces the barrage of arrows without expressing defiance or fear, simply accepting what comes like a flower in the rain. LMM is one of those heavy, impactful songs that I also save for the right mood. It was my pick for 2020 SOTY.

For byul, I really want you to listen "absence" and "eclips" Eclips is very cool and unique song which is very rare for gg member's solo song(I think) it sounds dark but at the same time grand and it can make you hype. Absence, you can see how much vocal byul is shining with emotional songs. For solar, Her original solo song is "spit it out"(dance) but I think you will prefer her ost..such as "Adrenaline (vincenzo)" -007 vibe, power, escalating song.
