My 21 K4 has been excellent, fires right up and has gotten me everywhere I want to go. The only downside is aftermarket parts. My front wheel is approaching needing replacement. Do you happen to have any insight on what would work? Whygostock has the whole assembly but if I can find a wheel and lace myself… can save money and potentially get a better wheel. OEM seems really soft to me…
@DBRONCOSfan For some reason the OEM parts are built stronger now than the 2021's. I had to replace my rear wheel for the same reason. The new rim I ordered was OEM but definitely built stronger than what was OEM on my bike. It has a different bearing/spacer setup that's better designed now. Honestly if you can save money and do it yourself. I would recommend it just because the aftermarket parts are slime to none right now for the K4. I struggle to find anything aftermarket for it. I usually just order parts for the bike that the K4 is designed after and retrofit it to the k4. Same for bearings. You're better off to cross reference what they come with and find a reliable source for the parts. Iron Pony takes forever to get parts from kayo (2-6 weeks for wait time) And half the time they never get all the parts in, I don't know if it's Kayo not filling orders or iron pony not understanding what's on the order. I'd say string the rim yourself and save the headache. I love my k4 and the other kayo I've ridden are excellent. The parts market leaves much to be desired!
@@OhioEnduro May I ask what bike is it designed after? I’ve seen on whygostock’s website that Kayo updated the rear wheel. It is actually listed as updated, nothing for the front though. Not sure what is going on with orders but it seems it is Kayo… whygostock says Kayo is taking 3 weeks to deliver parts to them. I might roll the dice on a 21x1.60 wheel and spokes from rocky mountain atv. Their return policy is quite good.
I have a dealership near me selling a used 230 with 20 hours for 1800. They also have a 250 for 2500 because its on sale. What would you recommend i get from the two?
@HunterbHunts Honestly it just depends on how tall you are, I've ridden both hard. And there's little power differences just the height and weight of the k4 is higher. The k4 has adjustable suspension the k2 does not. if you're a little on the tall side like me I'd go with the k4.
What exhaust did you buy for the K2? And what keys did you use? My K2 needs the choke for like the first two minutes and needs the idle up higher than I think it should be to remain at idle. Very lightly used 2022.
@MrFuzziiWuzzii Just a slip on exhaust, and rejet the carburetor for a better idle and some more power. They come pretty tame from factory. Just depends on where you live too, you could need a different idle jet for it to idle properly
