Years ago I bought a used Hobart meat slicer at a great price. My wife said it took up to much space so it had to go. This looks like a great unit Tom. Thanks for sharing.
I have something similar from northern tool. Gets the job done but I wasn't impressed with the speed of the blade. But for less than $100 bucks, it's pretty good. I like it for when I smoke pastrami. Nice review Mr horseman
Thanks for this vid. Now I know how to remove the blade. The Amazon customer reviews showed a couple of folks who didn't know how to remove the blade. Is clean up/wipe down of this unit easy to do? How do you clean it after use? Have a great day.
This looks identical to one that comes from Wal-Mart for much cheaper. By the way if you will rub some kind of oil on the flat side of the blade it will run much better. Vegetable or olive oil or something similar.
you didn't really say pros or cons?? I noticed you were not using the shield to hold the meat into place, did that not work right? back stop what is that made of?? (plastic or stainless or whatever) It is an interesting design and yes only 100 bucks but is it worth a 100 bucks?? thanks
Can you put pieces in dishwasher. I think the serated blade for bread. Is there a reason you were not using the plastic item to hold meat tight to blade. Nice Demonstration, how long do you think a clean up would take, cleaning a slicer is a pain.👍
Thanks for Watching John. The plastic holder has it limits and the meat was begger than its limits. As the meat got shorter the safety device was used. Everything except the base that contains the motor can go into the dishwasher. Agreed, clean up is a pain, about 15 minutes
Tom, thanks for the video...............I have been wanting a slicer for the longest time. Every time that I smoke my own bacon, I struggle to get even slices.............I just pulled the trigger on one of these.
