Math has been a struggle in my homeschool this year which has not been fun. However, I am happy to say I truly believe we have found our math fit finally. Great review 👍 I used Saxon with my 2 older boys. Very thorough. No learning gaps. Not the most fun but they got it and truly understood the math.

Hey Brittany! I like how you demonstrate a curriculum. The way you go through the pages, help us decide on whether or not we want to try that curriculum. Even when it comes to your toddlers. Thank you for that.

New to your channel and I love how bright and cheery your background is. Seems like Saxon is a tried and true math program. For some reason it intimidates me.

I feel you on the math struggle. Math and writing have been our biggest struggles this year. But we are happy with the math we are currently using. I’m so glad you found something that is growing confidence in your daughter!

I'm so glad you shared the cons as well as the positives! That's so helpful while searching for a curriculum for my girls-also, sharing your daughter's work was really eye-opening-I'd love a link to the workbook she's using!

@@brittanyolga yes we have. We've only been homeschooling for 2 weeks! 🤣😂 She was in public school before then. So I had plenty of time to find a curriculum that works for us.

Aw, you are so personable and likable! Thanks for your review. We have just switched, too, and are liking it so far. How are you getting through the lessons faster? I noted you are having her do just 1/2 the mixed practice. Are you doing more than one lesson a day, then?

I just finished Abeka 3 with my child which I loved. However, it looks like Abeka might slow down now so I am thinking about Saxon. What was the last year you did Abeka with your daughter and which year did you switch to start Saxon?

We completed Abeka 3 and did about half of Abeka 4 then we switched to Saxon. I really wished I would have followed my gut and started out our homeschooling year off using Saxon. 😊

I hope it works out for you guys 😍. We do evens on even days and odds on odd days so it is easy for my daughter to remember. It also tells her on Nicole the Math Lady what problems she will be doing for that day. I assign extra practice if needed in the problems she gets wrong often. 😊
