Well everybody, unfortunately, this is the final video from the first Pakistan series. I knew that Pakistan was nothing like it was portrayed in the western media. In fact, it has been the complete opposite. The hospitality and kindness of the Pakistani people is out of this world, I'm still in awe of it. I have made so many friends during this trip and I will be sure to return after summer when the weather is a little bit more friendly to me and visit new places in this amazing country. For now, I will have to deal with a lack of cheese paratha, which will be difficult. But when I return, I will have to make up for the lost parathas . Much Love ❤️ - Luke instagram.com/lukedamant/ facebook.com/LukeDamantt
I understand that the weather is hot now but I highly recommend you to must visit again since you are still left with alot of beautiful places. Good luck with your trips👍
This guy is otherworldly, for 80$ he can buy himself a very good pair of shoes in Pakistan but he chose to tip them away to a cobler for his honesty. God bless you brother for your generosity.
If he is giving gift best way to payback is buy him a gift , its like friendship we make in childhood if they give us something we give them something back .. 💖
I want to payback Amar for his hospitality and for giving a good name to Pakistan. Next time, when I visit Islamabad, I will give Amar some gift. Who else is ready to do the same?
Thank you for everything Luke! You have been incredible throughout the weeks you have been here and on behalf of all Pakistanis, we wish you all the best on your travels. You have had such an impact not just because of what you have done for Pakistan and its image, but also because of the people you have met along the way and made them a part of your experience! We hope to see you again soon!!
@@LukeDamant Hello I am very poor 😭😭 I don't have job to handle my family 😭 I work on RU-vid but no a good reponse 😭 You think I am worse thank other 😭😭
@@DeafShowByHamzaSattar hey man we all have problems like these we need to face them ourselves not ask others for help in situations like this my dad dosen't have a job either but he still manages and you should to OK
@@sleekstitch7336 His family came to pakistan as refugees from Afghanistan and although he lived there his whole life he hasn’t been able to get a Pakistani ID card which makes day to day difficult for him
I have watched all of the vlogs you made in Pakistan and they were amazing. One thing which surprised me was that despite being a foreigner and having the very first visit, you were dealing with everyone more confidently than many of us. Your bargaining skill was too good seriously like you did with that sunglasses man who was trying to exploit you. If it was me, I would have bought those sunglasses for Rs. 2000. It was a wonderful time watching your vlogs and I hope you come back soon
To everyone saying Luke is taking advantage of ammar and should pay him I know ammar and he is not an employee at that shop like some people think , he is the owner along with his brothers He comes from a well off family He wouldn't take the money He would be more then happy to just get his shop some good live time on internet Which luke has already done
I'm sad to know about your departure from Pakistan. Hope you come back soon! Gonna miss you and Pakistan series! And the beauty, kindness, honesty, sweetness... You see in others is actually your own reflection. You are a sweet soul that's why you recognize these traits in others. Stay blessed and happy forever! 🌸🙂
everybody is talking about pakistani generosity, can't we honour Luke for going in Pakistan, and tipping someone 80$ to someone for being just honest? Luke is at par with these local people for being honest and a good human being - its lovely to see how 2 human from different part of the world can connect just by being kind to each other lots of love from Pakistan to Luke
Ammar is really very down to earth person like you..I hope that he will get his Id card soon..Thank you luke for these vlogs..I Enjoyed alot..Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰❤
You should definitely buy a significant gift, from another store, for Omar or his family and surprise him with it. He has been so nice throughout your stay in Islamabad.
The best part, when luke said to glassesman seller "225" and keep walking, haha 😅😂, Now you are starting know much better about Pakistan, Welcome man 🇵🇰❤️😍 Great to have you back , keep growing, Love and peace ✌️❤️
Brother the way you are showing the positive image of our country is much appreciated thank you for this and remember we Pakistanis will never forget what you are doing. Much love and God bless 😍❤️❤️ 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
Hi mate. Firstly, thank you for visiting Pakistan and showing the honest and positive image of Pakistan. All I would request is that you continue to portray this positive image when you go back. I am sure my fellow Pakistanis would welcome you forever with open arms anytime you return to Pakistan. Regards from London UK
Luke you're truely a lovely kind person.. and i must say you're very lucky that u find a friend like AMMAR the loyal shop keeper... he has big heart... i am his huge fan too... soon i am going to meet him... and yes i just love ur videos.. especially the way you treat every single guy you greet them with love and respect ❤ i am looking forward to see u again in pakistan
I found a Quetta tea house and eat that cheese Partha because of Luke. Luke, we are looking and trying cheese Pratha becasue of you and you didn't come to Lahore. Why?? Come to Lahore please in your next visit.
Luke is so real and clear person, he is being kind with kind person and Don't even deal with the fake ones, Yes that's the clarity of Luke's personality. Stay happy bruh , keep shining 🌟😍 Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰❤️
Love you amar bahi inshaAllah when i will come back Pakistan i will visit him, he is honest louck you should pay him money because he is working on small shop.
Luke when he said “do you understand Quetta customs” he was hinting that it’s smuggled. He could be lying but that happens alot, it’s much easier in Pakistan to buy cheap original things.
I will miss your videos in Pakistan. I'm in love with people and places. I hope you come back soon. And I hope that soon I can also get to know this beautiful country and culture in person. Many blessings for you Luke
LMAO... I burst into laughter when Luke thought he said "that's a really beautiful man"... he meant the shoes look really beautiful (in his broken English). 🤣🤣🤣
19:49: He needs to apply for an Afghan Citizen Card, that’s the only ID the Afghan refugees are getting to identify and legally live here. Without it his status is probably illegal. I wonder why his parents or him never applied for that when the govt started issuing them but it’s a long process because he’ll have to show for his parents as well to get the ACC. A far as I’m aware, Pakistan govt is not issuing nationalities to Afghan refugees regardless, if they are getting one it’s through dodgy and illegal process.
According to constitution of Pakistan anyone who will born in Pakistan is eligible of Pakistani citizenship (I think we're the only Asian country with such policy) so authorities not granting him citizenship is straight out criminal negligence
@@arminius6506 That is if there was any deal between both governments at that time. The Afghan refugees came to Pakistan for only temporary period until their country was stabilised and rebuilt after the Soviet-Afghan war but unfortunately that never happened and they remained without any legal identification for decades. The ACC card is also a good enough identification that legalises them.
@@arminius6506 the war is over and ig they should go back to their lands because Pakistan itself got a huge population for its small land. how are they going to accommodate 1 million refugees bcz as a muslim country it was our duty to help our muslim brothers then but we only got more terrorism back from them... not all of them but some so i dont think Pakistan should take risk on its national security and only give nationality to afghans who have no connections to extremist groups such as Ammar.
Feeling Sad watching this video knowing it would be last of this Pakistan series. Would love to see more. Come back to Pakistan, there is much more to explore
Okay .... I just watched whole of your videos just in one day . I really appreciates how you were trying expressing Pakistan in front of media ..thanks for coming hope you will taste cheese paratha again and amaar's company too
Luke you can’t keep going to that lovely guy and accepting him to give you freebies. He took you to his shop last time and gave you jewellery free and you can’t say you will bring him customers through your video. He might be on a wage it’s hit his business he told you that. You need to get him a gift for the cost of what he’s given you or pay him as he might be getting stick from his family as it’s a family business. Why would you go back and say you lost your ring then say you don’t have money then ask if he has change? You need to seriously do something that man is too nice and I am hoping you understand what I am saying.
Exactly, I don't know why but after watching all of his interactions with Amar, it feels like Luke is taking advantage of his kindness. If he knows Amar won't take money from him, why buying things from him again and again. All these sort of stuff like hospitality looks good sometimes not everytime, you can't just take benefit by putting the other person at loss.
@@abdullah9892 exactly! He and many RU-vid vloggers seem to think it’s perfectly ok to get things for FREE by promising to promote their shop or business and he is mentioning the passport issue too which he has done a few times bless him but I think Once they reach a certain number of subscribers they then start to think it’s ok to do it. Amar is a lovely guy and we all know what we give we get back ten fold but Luke needs to understand that once is ok but several times taking jewellery and expensive drinks and food is not acceptable. I’m sure Luke is a good kid he just needs to be made aware of this so next time he doesn’t make the same mistake! If they don’t take money don’t accept or leave it on the table and leave it’s as simple as that.
I find the judgement of Luke unfair. You do realize that Pakistanis have different values. Islamically, having visitors (gifts) is seen as a blessing. We’re taught form an early age how in islamic stories, Prophets would sacrifice their best livestock for travellers and guests. When a person offers you something as a gift and then you still insist to give money, they would genuinely get upset. These are our traditions. Luke even offered him money and he said no, clearly this is not taking advantage of him as that is the person giving the gift’s wish. Please try to understand, not everything under your lense is the same as Pakistani’s culture.
No bro they were not fake, they cost less cuz the sellers buy these branded glasses from quetta and in quetta these things are imported from the port and they are non custom paid
@@syedhussainalishah1104 that's assuming if what you are saying is true. They most likely were 25% of the cost he was claiming. Probably not worth more that 500 rupees
Luke really love your videos. You also are a very kind soul. Found you first by watching Dale Phillip. You were on his vlogs. Now I watch both. Great 👍
Wow, so generous of you Luke, salutes. My suggestion is that you could have given 5k to shoe man and rest to Amat, but agree that Amar won’t take it. If I ever get a chance to go to Jinnah super in Isb, I’ll be buying things from Amar on double price. Proud of Pakistanis like Amar. Take care and see ya soon back in Pak.
Those glasses could actually be real. More likely they weren't but it isn't impossible. Lots of NATO stuff ends up on Afghan border with Pakistan and eventually lands in Quetta. For them it's peanuts and they sell the original stuff at counterfeit price.
Agreed with what everyone is saying, yes you are helping Amar get more sales and his ID process and yes forcibly giving money to hospitable people might upset them BUT you can always go get gifts from other stores and give it to him/his family. Engage in an intentional conversation to figure out if he needs/likes/wants to indulge and buy some gadget or something and then buy it yourself and wrap it up like a nice present and give him. Stuff like that shows him the Australian hospitality which promotes him to go help much more people (which I am sure he will do regardless) Anyways, hope you return to PK with gifts for all these people that we saw in the entire series!
Luke you are going back😢😭 i wish you to stay blessed and live a happy long life and chase your dreams. Thank you for showing a positive face of Pakistan to the wold.
Your vids are addictive. Very interesting and educational. Enjoy watching you mingle with everyone you are verykind person Luke stay humble and God bless you may his angels protect you on your journeys
luke we are so proud of you that you are showing the world how exactly peaceful is Pakistan we Pakistani are thankful for that and you are most welcome again
Kinda pissed off by luke not paying or giving omar anything back. He goes and meets him. He takes some thing he likes and he utter few good words for him and keep that thing for free. He should have dealt with his kindness in a better way.
@ Abhimanyu Gupta I know what you mean, but we don't see every interaction of their time together. I seriously doubt Luke would just leave and not reciprocate in some way. You know what I mean? I think he might also not video everything he does and it's pretty obvious how much he cares for him. I am not trying to argue with you, but just wanted to ease your feeling a bit to give a different perspective. I hope you are doing well.
I agree…it’s one thing to lose a gift that someone gives you but to go back and just casually say you lost it with a grin on your face and ask for another one knowing full well he won’t accept money from you is appalling. Can’t believe what I saw. So damn rude!
Yeah i like his videos overall and he is kind to most of the people yet i hate his attitude towards Ammar...taking advantage of his hospitality and then saying that he is not going to accept money....bro there are other ways to pay back as well...you can gift something and at least not say him that you have lost your ring and need a new one...that was so stupid to do....
luke you were looking like tom cruise in these ray ban glasses.1000 was not a bad price even if its first copy.i always buy from these guys.for your information even some big stores are selling same stuff.your personality was looking very improved.buy for next time just to improve your outlook.pushtoons are very different from other communities because of their deep rooted culture and traditions.they prefer to keep stick with them. hospitality and generosity is getting transfered from generations .they love their tradition and dont want to sacrifice them at any cost.
Thanks for showing hospitality of our beautiful Pakistan. Pakistan has been an underrated country but its becoming top and new destination alhamdollilah. I big Big love from dubai
Absolutely not true... the first glasses he was asking 2000 has actually 200 price... the other one replica of RAYBAN which has 150p max price... the guy was disloyal...as he agreed on 230 but than seeing his wallet he changed his mind again
You have a good heart and want to reward good people but you shouldn't have paid the honest man the extra amount openly. I think the glasses guy caught on and thought to try even harder. 👍
Sunglasses guy was selling top quality copies, good as real. The price he was quoting was very reasonable. His English was good and a real hustler too. Luke didn't treat him well.
I like your videos bro. As someone serving in another country I’d like to make a comment. Please wear a mask. Regardless of your belief on that topic, it’s respecting the culture around you. They’re wearing masks too. Looking forward to catching up on your videos. Good stuff.
So much love and respect to you Luke!! From Pakistan!! You showed the real face of Pakistan!! I’m really happy to see that you came to our country!! Hope you enjoyed it!! And love that tho!!! So much love from Pakistan!!🇵🇰✨❤️
Yes , pashtoons are usually honest and those doing shoe polishing are usually very poor or else they would have a shop and not be on the ground .Amar is more better off with a shop , so I’m glad you gave a good tip to the shoe guy . After the show repair saying “they are beautiful!” Is said like this in Pashto “Dear Haista De”. And thank you in Pashto is “ Ma na na “.
Unfortunatly i hate Australians due to their racism towards asians and also i objected some of your action here in Pakistan, but now you are leaving Pakistan and you hv changed yourselves after some advices from Pakistanis and its much appreciated. So i will miss you and when you come back to Pakistan then must come to my city Peshawar may be we meet here. Btw good luck nd thanks for coming to Pakistan & i hope you will never change your mind about Pakistan. 👍❤🇵🇰🇵🇰
