Just finished watching this. It's a masterpiece of Kaiju fighting. The animation is unreal and everything works. Yeah it's got human issues, but Dan Stevens saves them, his character was fun and the whole Kong and mini-kong arc was great to see. There are some unbelievable shots in this. Super fun movie.

You'll see the space ship from Invasion of Astro Monster, there's also "punch, punch, punch" and you can see Jet Jaguar's arm. They may keep sucking up to Godzilla Minus One, but never forget that it was Toho themselves that originally turned Godzilla into a wrestler. The MonsterVerse just expands upon that aspect, and Toho approves of these things first.
