I still absolutely burst out laughing when I remember that a 2020's 200 million dollar superhero movie copied notes from an 80's Star Wars spoof.

They could have WISELY spent those $200 million on "Space Balls 2: The Quest for More Money" and could have easily made 1 billion dollars, at least.

Forgetting to even mention the villain until the end was the most honest part

The MCU has hit the same stage the comics are at. A lot of history, stories branching in random directions at the writer's whim, everything is loved by someone, but nothing is loved by everyone.

It was bothering me in the theater trying to remember what other MCU movie had the same plot. About an hour after we got home I yelled SPACEBALLS from the other end of the house and my wife screamed "THANK YOU!" 😂😂

Even an X-Men teaser can't generate buzz for these things anymore. This is goddamn critical.

My friends and I had the theater to ourselves opening weekend. When the flerken started eating everyone with "Memory" playing in the background, we just started laughing hysterically, like "Is this for real?"

Iman was absolutely adorable in The Marvels, she made it enjoyable

I love how the villain's hammer still magically had the Purple Infinity Stone's power AND glowed purple.....despite not having the stone. Wouldn't it just be.....a hammer?

Thank you for the MIB: INTERNATIONAL reference!! My mother and I had the same thought. The difference between us was that I swiftly realized that Tessa Thompson was actually Valkyrie. My mother thought it meant that Men In Black was now part of the MCU. She asked me what upcoming movie would Agents J and K be in. 😄😄😄 Seriously though, did nobody in charge of costuming for The Marvels notice the similarities? Did Thompson herself not mention anything? 🤷

I just gotten to watching it tonight and you're right that it's literally Spaceballs. There was a Statue of Liberty in the movie too.

Going into this movie, me and the MCU were in couples therapy. This film 100% convinced me we need a break from each other. To sort of see where this relationship is going

It’s really sad that Iman Vellani wasn’t an option for an earlier phase of the MCU. The kid is one of the only things that actually works in Marvel movies right now, even if the show and movie Vellani has been in are both mediocre at best. It’s too bad, Disney is still recruiting talent but letting it down in the writing room.

Ms. Marvel carried that entire movie. She was literally putting her heart and soul into the character, and just going into everything with all the enthusiasm in the world. The Ms. Marvel show starts slow, but actually gets pretty good around the halfway point.

Saw this with auto-generated subtitles and got "Monica Rambo", which made it even funnier! 😀

Completely agree about Ms. Marvel carrying this movie on he r back. Iman Vellani is the best thing about this movie. She was awesome. Should be proof enough that what Marvel needs is more ACTUAL comic book fans in the mix, when making comic book movies. Seems like a no brainer to me, but...🤷‍♀️

The re-title at the end had me dying with laughter. The only way I could watch this is through the eyes of Honest Trailers. Great video, y’all.

One of the major issues is that this movie was supposed to come out before secret invasion. It was supposed to come out when quantumania came out and then singled invasion would come out and then quantumania is supposed to come out. So that's why things like that seem a little jumbled. Doesn't make up for why the MCU overall has been fumbling everything, but I actually enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed it more than Thor love and thunder and quantumania. In regarding the shows I mean yeah some are still good but what if the season was good? Loki was good. I like Hawkeye. I liked Wanda vision. Secret invasion was probably the worst for me. I don't know. I'm still on board. We'll see what happens

man, I really hope they continue to write for Kamala Kahn/Iman Vellani. She's the only bearabele part of this movie and one of the few shows that were really fun. It feels like she's really the last person that enthusiastically works on marvel these days, and that's a treasure.

Iman Vellani is great! She has such great acting and chemistry, and the Ms. Marvel show was amazing! The humor and comic drawings and stuff was amazing. She's definitely one of my favorites.
