@@Dual2212 I didn't do anything. There was just a period of time in my childhood where my attempts to make good toast by pressing the stop lever too many times led to many of them having short life spans. My mom still can't figure it out and will never let me live it down. Then there were two toasters who refused to let go of the toast to the point the began to smoke. So like any idiot child looney toons style I threw the toaster outside then doused it with water. This happened twice. I have left my evil life of toaster mayhem in the past.
So…I feel like percy is in the right….but I have been curious myself and timed the exact moment I put the toast in and I can see how Annabeth is correct…but the level of toastyness
What's makes this funny for me is that my toaster oven DOES have a dial for levels of toastyness. It does correlate with the timer though. I also set my toast to level 2 or 3.
............................this is me and my friends in one scenario. i love this series 😭😭 ill let your imagination guess who's who, and also i thought the level of toastyness and the timer were the same. my life is smt else huh?
Mechanically it actually isn't a timer, it dictates how much energy goes into the system. It just so happens part of the heating element in the majority of toasters is this two sided aloy strip. It's got properties that make it flex as it heats until it snaps back straight, which is connected to the toaster turning off
Update: I looked it up, and this is only partially true but also toasters are so much more complicated than I ever would’ve guessed…www.tasteofhome.com/article/what-do-the-numbers-on-a-toaster-mean/
I feel really dumb right now because I did actually think it was the level of toastyness because that makes sense why wouldn’t it?! you turn the dial to get the level of how burnt it’s going to be!
He has a good point though… cus its definitely not a timer. You ever have a piece of toast in the toaster for more than two minutes? Becomes a charred husk.
I thought the same thing for a while my parents keep telling me it was the time to set but I didn't believe them until I checked for myself 😂 and I checked the comments and and I'm so glad to see I not the only one 😵😂
I guess that is a timer though Percy is also right because the longer you have It in the toaster the more toasty it is. So Annabeth and Percy are correct.❤😊😂
