I saw this on its roadshow tour and it's seriously worth watching any way you can. Extremely creative and hilarious. Video game enthusiasts will recognize a lot of "game" logic in the gags and overall story structure

I watched this with friends on Discord and I was not prepared to laugh as hard as I did. I knew it would be ridiculous, but I was caught off guard at how masterful the classic cartoony comedy was. It was impressively well-made with what they had and I commend Mike and Ryland for pulling it off.

I went to see this film at the Milwaukee Film Festival with a bunch of friends when it came out, and uh....yeah, we had an amazing time. It was funny, the title drop was epic, the costumes and gags and jokes pretty much always landed, and the finale is indeed crazy 😆 Also, as a side note to how funny the team that worked on this was, at the Q&A afterwards, they pretty much refused to answer any questions thrown at them seriously, which was really funny to me for some reason and made me love them even more. It's clear these lads just wanted to make a funny movie, didn't REALLY seem to care if it "succeeded" or not, but honestly? It's the best. It's just a dedicated, talented group of people doing what they love and having a hell of a time doing it! So yeah, go watch this hilarious movie!

you showed a scene of what looks like beaver sherlok holmes and I think I know what they were going for in that scene. I haven't watched the movie but it rang alarm bells for me. I would be willing to bet 5 bucks that this scene was inspired by Monty Python and the search for the Holy Grail. It makes too much sense. The pose is heavily reminicent of what the police do in that film, when 'investigating' the murders. The fact that we see a 'modern' detective in a setting that he doesn't belong into. And while Monthy Python was very heavily baesd on oral comedy, like the loony toons in their early years, they dominated the scene of whacky life action films.

When I saw Letterboxd themselves sing the praises of this film in their Watchlist This column (for under-the-radar releases) I knew this movie was gonna be special. Haven't seen it yet but I hope to soon! Also since this premiered at a festival in 2022 but went into wide release in 2024, this is eligible for 2024 Year in Review lists.

I saw this at IFC a few months ago and it was genuinely one of the funniest things I’ve ever watched, they even had Ryland come out at the end (clearly drunk, but in a good mood) and wrestle a bunch of people in beaver costumes. So happy you’re making more people aware of this masterpiece!

Having watched this video a month ago, I wasn’t expecting too much when I watched the movie with my mother. I was expecting a fun time, but nothing exceptional. Then I watched it. Hundreds of Beavers is now my favourite movie of all time. Period. I have never laughed as much watching a movie than I have watching this movie. Every single joke is excellently crafted, every character and scene is investing, and the finale is probably the best finale to ANYTHING I’ve ever seen. It’s all so excellently paced and well done. This is a project of passion from everyone on the team behind it, an excellently crafted piece of comedy genius that never ceased to make me smile watching it. Go watch it. I don’t think I need to explain myself further.
