The smoke is not used as a "warning" of someone about to enter the hive. Bees communicate via chemicals called "pheromones." The smoke does two things. First, it dilutes the warning pheromone (which smells like bananas) to short circuit the chemical communications. Second, it triggers a reaction in the bees to start collecting honey to take to the next hive since they think the current hive is on fire. This causes the bees to focus on collecting honey and not an invader.
that may indirectly mean that nature produces the things in abundance and human's needs can be met with that but not desires or excessive accumulation. Even the milk of a cow is more than enough for its children and we humans have to consume it after making sure that their children are not going hungry.
@@billzjr222we have other bees that can do that bumble bees solitary bees etc honeybees aren’t the best at pollinating but many be species are very good at specific types of vegetables and fruit
A bee keeper showed me and my class how they removed honey in 2nd grade. They took a big long knife and just scraped the honey into a fat jar. Very satisfying, must admit, but not only did they show us that, they let us taste the fresh honey! That was the first time I had honey, and it was amazing. A little too sweet though.
One of the most misconception about bees is they like to sting a lot. Actually, bees don't like to sting human. You can even hold a scoop of bees inside your hand without the smokes if you careful and skilled enough. That said, with smoke added, their awareness is lowered enough for you to take out their comb without a single sting encased anywhere on your body.
fun fact: honey can taste differently depending on the local plants the bees have access to thats right honey from one local honey farm shop could taste different than honey from a different honey farm shop... it always fascinates me how the honey tastes differently depending on the plant the bees use my dad brought home a jar of honey made from lime trees that tastes minty (it's apparently good on toast, tried it and it was indeed good)... I also tried one that had a toffee taste which I liked, there is also the Orange blossom that has a citrusy taste to it... it's like you get to taste what the local really has to offer! ^^ I've heard some places mix the honey... it kind of ruins that charm tbf (there's also jackasses that sell fake honey which is corn syrup or some other shit that probably isnt as cool, tasty and healthy as the real deal... best bet is to get it from a local bee farm if you're not sure if the honey at the store is real or fake, they also say local bee farm honey is tastier anyway!)
Yeah like the one I had in Idaho was very sweet, mainly due to the mountain flowers. The one in Arizona was very strong and tangy, due to the acids of the chili flower plants and the pungent nectar of the cacti
@@Blesbok- Intelligence can never replace friendship also I can't hear script letters. Language can be heard or can be communicated through Laryngeal Vibrations. Script is a written system to transcribe the language... It can be read or written...
What they failed to mention is the decafer is essentially a hot knife. It's kind of shaped like a short sword there's vibrated back and forth which the one my family used was manual and you run hot water through it it's actually hollow and you run hot water in one side with the cold water coming out the other because beeswax has such a low melting point the vibration of the blade and the hot water combined scrapes the wax off without damaging the honey underneath now some honey will come with it and lot of times they'll be a collection bason and the wax falls into or a tub and that will usually have a spigot on the lower end because it will sit on an angle that will collect all the honey that was scraped off with the wax that can be recovered later and then bottled
“According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyways. Because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.” -The Bee Movie
Darth Bacon you beat me to it. Was thinking of it. Neither are they telling that so Much honey Productions is not Good for the bees and nature. The Bee Will think it has not produced enough honey for winter, work er bees Will be exausted and die. More bees wil be born to keep up with Productions so they polinate to Much flowers and at times the same, other insects die of because of bees taking to Much food
Thank you little bees, I am grateful for the lovely honey you produce for us. Nature is amazing. I love honey on the comb, delicious. And props to the guy who invented a way to save the bees when getting the honey.
Honey is my most favorite of all, things natural, and my most humble thanks to the bees, a blessing on these wonderful creatures, such hard workers,, thank you also to the human workers, all deserve a (blessing) 🙏👍👏🏽👏🏽from France 🇫🇷
That’s the key to not being stung. Gentle, non-aggressive moves and you’ll be ok. A few exceptions: killer bees don’t like to be bothered - period. In fact some bee keepers will destroy hives of killer bees. Other exception: bee hives have personalities. Most are calm and dosel, a few will be defensive but not as bad as killer bees.
Not as appetizing as it sounds. It’s sorta like eating paper, but is still an experience to try, especially with the freshest honey u can get your hands on
eating honeycombs is kinda like eating gum, It has a chewy texture. The honeycomb itself is almost tasteless, But with the honey outside, It has the perfect level of sweetness and It's Delicious!
My uncle has a really small bee farm in his backyard and I was quite surprised to see that this is exactly the same way he does it but on an industrial scale. I thought there'd be some secret tricks lol.
3:13 I've actually always wanted to try the honeycomb too. I wonder if it's any good. I LOVE honey! I especially love the color!😍 That shiny golden hue that comes off the honey is gorgeous! That thumbnail caught my eye.

Y'all forgot in other to get to their bee farm, they have about 5 officers who carry some tranquilizers to protect the honey and themselves from Pooh and Piglet
>just a different scent (not coughing smoke) >we only use the surplus of the honey (bees remain with everything they need to live well) >living better and more productive than wild bees This really calls into question, the whole plot of Bee Movie now :P
