I love how they try to censor the Dukes brand name for the mayo portion but at 2:12 the computer clearly says "Dukes Mayo"

Was I the only one bothered by the mayo on the guy's finger who was committing that mayo assault on that sandwich?

For those wondering about the brand, it's Dukes. Anyone who's lived in the Southern US recognizes the label (even with the blurring). 😉

Personally, I like my own mayonnaise: a single egg yolk (ignore all the recipes that call for two: one egg yolk can potentially emulsify a ridiculously large amount of oil), a dash of salt, a pinch of pepper, a pinch of cayenne, about a teaspoon of mustard (I use whole grain; Dijon or English would work great too), and a generous squeeze of lemon. Using a steel wire hand whisk, mix all those ingredients together until smooth, then begin drizzling in any sort of neutral oil, whisking vigorously just under the drizzle. I've found whisking with a quick side-to-side motion in a wide, shallow, stainless steel bowl, set on a folded kitchen towel, works best. Use between 1/2 to 2/3 of a cup of oil (I always just eyeball it). After you've incorporated about half your oil, whisk in a couple small dashes of white vinegar. It will whiten the mayonnaise and thin it out slightly (the remaining oil will thicken it back up). The consistency of the mayonnaise is really up to you. I like mine thick enough to stick to the bowl if I turn it upside down (and my method gets me this result nearly every time). If your mayonnaise is a bit runny, it doesn't mean it's split (split mayonnaise is a greasy disaster you will instantly recognize, even if you've never seen it--trust me). It just means there's a lot of water in it, for whatever reason (the most usual being you got overzealous with the vinegar or lemon juice; also, moisture content in eggs can vary surprisingly). It should be obvious, but TASTE your mayonnaise for seasoning. Adjust salt, vinegar, or whatever you want accordingly. My method usually yields about 10-15 ounces of mayonnaise, and I've never had it go bad in the fridge before I've eaten it.

For those wondering why the brand of mayo was (mostly) censored, the UK has much stricter guidelines when it comes to product placement, to the point that, until relatively recently, product placement was strictly forbidden in TV shows.

I have enjoyed Hellmans (my most favorite brand of said condiment), also Heinz, Kraft and a few others, but never tried this *Dukes* which many of the comments have pointed out is the brand being made in this video.

As someone who was worked in fast food and a dinner or two let me just say the Mayo is the ranch. Literally, they mix Mayo with ranch seasoning and that's how they make the ranch. It explains a lot if you don't like the Mayo and the ranch.

You can tell the level of how much product they sell based on how they filled the bottles. The mayo has a constant fast moving line filling the bottles circularly, a ton at once, while the ketchup has them fill 8 in sections. If I had the patience i'd do the math and see how much more one pumps out a minute than the other, but i'd bet the mayo company is a lot bigger than that ketchup company.
