I just wanted to say thank you so much. I have literally been trying for over 15 years to make a honey baked ham with the crunchy glaze and I have not been able to do it! But now thanks to you I finally did it today!!🎉I literally cried, Thank you so much you have no idea how much I appreciate it. Thank you and i hope you have a happy easter!
I made this and it was the best ham I’ve ever eaten. If people knew how good this recipe is, you would have 30 million views. Not 30k. Great video! Thank you so much for posting!
I tried your recipe last week for Thanksgiving and IT IS LEGIT!!!!!! I have tried other 'dupes' before but this is the one that gave me that signature sugar crust that we love about Honeybaked hams! Thank you for saving my family at least $70 this year! I'll be making this for years to come! XOXO
Omg!!! Thanks so much. My family has been ordering honey baked ham’s for years but recently they’ve become so expensive and there’s no I mean so crunchy sugar glaze on them anymore so running across your videos is heaven sent no pun intended 😂😂but thanks again I really really appreciate this. I will definitely be doing this recipe and no more ordering 80 small boneless hams.Happy Holidays.
I fixed this for lunch today (New Year’s Day 2024). Everyone loved it. We have gotten a Honey Baked ham every Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s for the last 30 or so years. This recipe did not disappoint! Even my sister who thinks that nothing compares to a Honey Baked loved it.
Wow, this looks spot on especially compared to the other copycat videos that look nothing like Honeybaked ham. This video should have way more views. Thank you!
That 8lb ham at Honey Baked is $135 not incl tax, I just checked. But you cant get bigger than 6lbs at Honey Baked. The closest store to me is 2 hrs away & I live in SoCal. Their delivery is another $30.
I used brown sugar a little white sugar, and honey, (Southern) Ginger, Very little garlic and onion powder and paprika, *No Nutmeg ever* (a pinch of pink salt to the soft coat, sugar and honey and I use coconut oil rather than butter, that pinch of salt to the honey and butter, and sugar is the 🗝️) the remaining coats are packing in the sugar and it works awesome, like this one. Key DO NOT OVER COOK HAM, use a pan with a rack and keep covered until your ready to heat up the sugar crust, use skewers to keep ham together. (I don't pull mine apart, just sick a knife in vertical and pet the taste drip in, ya don't want it to be like gravy, or too sweet/ just the flavor or. Tip: Use Hickory Smoked Ham, you will be so pleased with the final taste. The glaze/coating 8s for a layer of flavor, that goes with the hickory flavor that goes with the ham flavor. Just treat it nice so it looks good on table and low temp warm it, then high temp the sugar. Torch an option No Nutmeg ever. Hers looks good, many over cook them. It's better next day.
@@sheenawarecki92 Nutmeg has always made me unsettled, queeny stomach, may be allergic, and it just is on my short list of "Oh H No''s" lol I came to find out, My grandmother loathed it too. May be a genetic thing. If you like it, by all means use it. Bett
The Season salt balances out the sugar in the seasoned sugar mixture. The layering of sugar dusting and honey butter is how the delectable crust is created.
