This movie shocked me beyond belief. I did not expect it to be what it turned out to be. Underrated and precious little gem.

AMAZING movie, grossly underrated would definitely recommend. It starts slowly but it builds plenty of tension which exploits magnificently with the superb acting of both leads half way through the film.

This was a seriously scary movie. None of that cheap jumpcut stuff, this was a genuinely interesting and creepy movie.

Thank GOD! Another horror film that emphasizes dread over gore (ala Oculus). This looks truly fantastic; It just sucks it's a limited theater film!

I actually thought this film was really good. Full of tension, somewhat disturbing. A different kind of horror.

I really loved the chemistry between Rose and Harry in this movie. Hoping one day they'll do a more light-hearted romantic comedy together in the future.

Here we see what happens when Ygritte marries Dr. Frankenstein. Shit is going to hit the fan.

I'm a big fan of the 'unsettling' kind of horror movies, and this one was right up there. Was the ending the best thing ever? No, but I try not to let 5 minutes take away from a well-made, well-acted, good all-around movie. Recommended

I can't believe my fellow RU-vidr's don't like this movie!! I thought it was very creative, memorable, entertaining, and very, very scary! Easily the best horror movie of the year in my mind!

This movie teaches us that women turn crazy after marriage, hides, cheats, lie and bury her husband alive.

Really enjoyed this movie. It has a slow start but builds up to be a really eerie film that is well done.

All the people saying the movie sucked because they don't understand it need to understand that it's a thriller with horror elements and the ending of the movie. I thought was very good and not every movie needs to have a happy ending, or a closed ending because then it's left for interpretation for the watcher.

I really liked the film but for me it was just pretty much a sad movie to watch. the husband is just so poor because he just wants a nice relationship with his wife but it didnt work out.

ugh im so fucking pissed that i watched this movie! i could seriously punch a puppy right now.... not really but im pissed. its one of those movies where they dont give you ANY details on whats going on, you never see who the bad guy is!!!!!! there is NO ending, its one of those open ended movies!!!!!! good guys all die!!!!!!!!! i think i screamed at the computer "what the fuck are you doing!!?!?!" numerous times because it was just driving me nuts!!!! thank god i didnt pay to see it or id be even more mad.

I recommend watching this movie! Is it the best movie I have ever seen? No. However it Is a good movie. I liked the actors, it took a theme that has been done before and did it in a new way. Don't let the bad reviews sway you watch it and form your own opinion. I'm glad I did!!

The beauty of the film is that you are like the husband--never fully sure of what is going in. I thought the film was good and didn't need any specific closure to enjoy this dark, scary ride from newlyweds to distant lovers.

I don't really want to say this, but I honestly dont want ppl wasting their time or money watching this crappy movie... first of all the movie lasts about one hour and 30 minutes of watching the couple having sex and being romantic, bla bla bla, they actually get out from the house, they go to a restaurant where they find a guy named will and his wife annie... who goes crazy and tells the paul and bae to get out of that place and go back to new york.... it kinda takes 40 minutes to actually feel worried for 3 secs, not even scared.. at 3.49 am (in the movie) theres like a presence, kinda like aliens invading the woods, theres like a bright light from the outside of the woods... and suddenly the lights from the married couples house went off and back on.. paul decides to go fishing at 3.45 am because his iphone alarm started.. which was supposed to start at 5 am... but he didnt see the time until he got dressed, got the fishing tools, and went out of the house... he saw it was too dark, and it didnt actually feel like 5am, so he went back in, he went to bed but his wife BEA wasnt there, he goes crazy lookig for her.. after 7 to 10 minutes looking for the woman, paul finds bea naked in the woods, they went back in the house, bla bla bla, next day she starts forgetting how to make things, like making french toasts and coffee, paul questions his wife about what happened in the woods, and she kept saying she was sleep walking and that everything was fine... he saw she had like three mosquito bites, but didnt actually look like it, so then he believes his wife was cheating on him with Will, the guy who happened to be Baes boyfriend when they were 13, after a couple of days he tries to confront will, but couldn't find him, he actually saw will's wife, who also had 3 moskito bites and was bleeding from her thighs, Paul finds will's baseball hat full of blood which makes him think that Annie killed him... that same day at night paul confronts his wife who was in the bathroom sticking a knife in her vagina to take something out.. Paul breaks the bathroom door takes her out and looks for his car keys, that were no where to be found.. she talks him out of leaving the house in the woods, she tells him something actually happened in the woods, that she felt something making sex to her, so she needed him to take out what was inside of her, which he did and there was like a umbilical cord and something moving... (I believe it was some alien baby growing) paul realizes she wasnt ok, and keeps saying he wants to leave that place... bea tells him she wants to protect him from the thing in the woods (something you never get to see in the movie, except for its shadow) anyways bea kicks her husbands face, knocked out until next morning, hes in a boat with her, she had him tightened up with a rope, and says the only way for the thing in the woods to not find him is for her to hide him under water, which she does.. she killed him... next thing you know she is in the house watching the wedding video when Annie appears with kinda like a lizards skin, Bea has her same face, the bright light from the veeery begging starts shining just as if it was calling them... and THE END.... Sorry for my grammar, lol no judging. .

This is an EXCELLENT movie.

It’s how she hid her husband for me. That was painful to watch. I really like how he loves her and their chemistry seemed so real.

I liked it, I enjoyed that it was suspenseful and kept me guessing and wasn't just jump scares like most scary movies.

Enjoyed this but strange ending.

I love this movie. Bea and Paul are sickeningly cute together. I really think they should've left and Bea should have let Paul take her to the hospital like he wanted to.

I feel like people in the comment section wanted a horror action movie. Nah, its psychological. Its the coldnes and powerlessnes when loosing your beloved even when you are with her, you cant help, she is distancing, you dont know whats happening to her. Something ugly terrible. And you cant do shit. Hopelessness. I enjoyed the atmosphere and feel it gave me.

Worst movie ever!!! Bea (Rose Leslie) and Paul (Harry Treadaway) are newly married and off to have a romantic honeymoon in a rustic cabin set in a secluded forest. During their stay there, they go to a small restaurant whose owner initially acts hostile and asks them to leave, but later calms down, realizing he was Bea's childhood friend, Will. Will's wife then comes in, acting strangely and saying they need to get away. Afterwards, everything goes normally until their wedded bliss is cut short when Bea goes missing. Paul finds her naked and disoriented in the woods with no evidence as to how she got there or why she was there in the first place. He takes her back to the cabin, where she claims she was sleepwalking due to stress, and tells him to make nothing of it. As time passes, Bea's behavior becomes increasingly distant and strange. At first, Paul blames Bea's strange behaviour on some encounter with Will, but soon he realizes there's more going on. One night as Paul is lying awake, he sees some bright lights through the windows, but when he goes to investigate he finds nothing. As Paul sees his wife's behavior becoming more erratic he finds unique marks on Bea's inner thighs which she passes off as mosquito bites. Some time later during an argument, Bea locks herself in the bathroom, and when Paul breaks in he finds her repeatedly stabbing herself in the genitals. Paul then ties her to the bed and she asks him to "take it out of her". Paul puts his hand into her vagina and takes out a large worm-like creature. Bea later explains that the night she disappeared into the woods, she saw the same lights Paul had seen and couldn't help walking towards them. She then saw some silhouettes, which apparently impregnated her with the creature. Bea says that she is herself, but they're taking away what's left of her. She says she must protect Paul because they are going to "dispose of him". Bea then knocks Paul out, takes him into the middle of the lake on a boat, ties an anchor to his feet, and throws him to his death while believing that she is protecting him by "hiding" him under the water. Bea is later shown to be deteriorating, her skin becoming white and flaky. She then meets Will's wife, and they walk away into the lights. The film finishes with Bea saying "Before I was alone, but now I'm not."

I’m just going to take a random guess here and say that the wife was killed and replaced with an alien clone? Kind of feels like a role reversal version of ‘The Astronaut’s Wife’. It could be decent though, if anything I really like the lead actors and it seems like they have good chemistry together.

This movie will keep you in suspense that's for sure.

A potentially interesting premise that the scriptwriters unfortunately had no idea what to do with.

Esta película me fascinó, no es lo que nos tienen acostumbrado a ver, sobre todo en un thriller, dando por hecho que todo se va a explicar, que todo se va a solucionar y que el final de cierto modo te dejará con un buen sabor de boca. Este film tiene casi todo lo contrario... SPOILER: el conflicto principal llega a un tal nivel de tensión, donde uno quiere por todos los medios saber la verdad, y la contra parte se lo "oculta" o "cuenta la verdad de no saber"... me desesperó el hecho de no saber qué era verdad, saber que algo había pero ella no lo decía, no lo quería decir, o simplemente no había nada. Y para qué hablar del final, quedas con una sensación de QUEEEE!! POR QUÉ TERMINÓ AHI???!!!... este es uno de esos filmes que lo odias o lo amas, personalmente me encantó, pero no es para un público general que buscas tramas de fácil desarrollo.

overall good movie 3/5 for performance and concept. only downside is that the movie focused too much on scaring the characters, forgetting about the audience since I was left with many unanswered questions. i felt unsatisfied after watching.

Everyone is freaking out about how terrible this movie is. I watched it last night. I thought it was great. Incredibly suspenseful, gross at times, and very creepy. Acting was weak in the beginning but really picked up later on in the movie. And the ending was great.

I thought this was good! Especially liked Rose Leslie's performance
