Hong Kong is pretty infamous in all of eastern Asia for having an attitude that is... um... not very _giving._ 😅 Especially service workers. Waiters, taxi drivers, salespeople, etc. Also do be aware that a lot of HK-ers do speak English. So that waiter probably understood everything you said.
They are not the friendliest! - my experience both in Hongkong and US. Watch out for older people, they will get upset if you take photos or video of them. ...and if you're a Fiipina, they'll think you are a domestic helper, and they could be mean to you.
Yes, they are like that. Hahaha kasi they are busy and they don’t want to beat around the bush. Though I feel like they’re like that kasi gusto nila makarami and get customers in and out especially sa mga local restaurant establishments. They don’t have a concept of customer service unless you’re in a very high end restaurant. They’re idea of customer service is you come in, they give you what you want, you pay, and done you go. 😅 Some are just simply rude in Hong Kong. It is challenging to gauge if they are just like that because of the situation they’re in or if they’re actually being rude kasi karamihan rude hahahaha. You will develop thick skin if you deal with them on a daily. My Auntie is Chinese from Hong Kong.
Kapag nakita mo ung every sunday off nila sa hk, ma heart broken ka sobra nung nakita ko cla naawa ako tapos ung kla ng asa pinas buhay nila dun is maganda. I mean i cant explain the emotions that i felt when i saw our kababayan during their off in hk it really make me sad. We also do going to local resto, ung kmi lang ung halos na foreigner na kumkain kaso bastos lang tlga ung mga taga hk.
Wow ganda naman ni eunbee, namiss namin sya dapat bawat vlog andyan c eunbee, kaya pala ang gaganda nyong mag kakapatid kasi subrang ganda pala ni mama cho.
One thing for sure this video remind us that you will just miss something when its already gone. When its happening every day, unfortunately there will be a time that you will take things for granted.
We had that experience here in Washington state in the U.S lol it’s a Chinese restaurant lol they will say to you hurry to order and they don’t like when you take your time ordering lol
Bastos karamihan sa taga HK sa experienced ko lalo na mga matatanda dumusura pa yan sa loob ng resto or mall at kumakain sa resto ng topless mga lalaki.
I've been there and mainland china several times. I gotta say that we had the same experience. Maybe it's just their culture that they seem to be rude. I'm not sure but one thing for sure is, it's great to be multilingual because we can talk about the crappy service and no-one will understand hehe
I experienced working with chinese, japanese, koreans, thailanders, vietnamese, mexicans, african Americans, ethiopians, Italian Americans etc., generally, japanese and koreans have good attitude. Chinese, vietnamese, italians and africans are not easy to get along with especially chinese. Among asians, my observation was, chinese people are the unfriendliest people, they have attitude, generally, I like the attitude of koreans and japanese because most of them are friendly like filipinos. At work, as a friendly gesture, we filipinos use to prepare food for our co workers, sometimes koreans and japanese also prepare their share as well as the Indians. We always prepare pansit, lumpia, chicken sopas, or sometimes arroz caldo, korean style barbecue, adobo, some filipino desserts like biko, bibingka, etc., Filipinos may not be the best when it comes to cooking but we are proud to show our identity by preparing foods for all our co workers most of the time, sometimes our mexican co workers prepare food during cinco de mayo.
Lok Tin Cafe is one of my favorite restaurant in that area, it's a good thing you get the pineapple bread. You should try the French Toast, or try their menu on the afternoon tea time, it is cheaper compared to the original price. Great video
Omg I haven’t watched the vid yet and went to the comments. Can confirm that moving from Canada to hk, and having lived in hk for a decade now, I have gotten A LOT MEANER AND RUDER😭😭😭😭😭
Boys dont like to bargain cuz, we want simple and happy life. We dont want to make things more complicated. If you can affort it, buy it. Then if not leave it.😂😂😂 have a safe trip ang enjoy your vacation guys. ❤
Sayang di ata tayo magabot dyan ill be there on 24 May from dubai for 11 hrs lay over its my chance sana na makita ka kristypata 😅you’re right di talaga friendly at di sila approachable since i am always encountering them whenever na magvacation ako with cathay pacific airlines and it’s my first time to go out at alone pa so i’m a bit nervous 😬 anyway i’m glad you gave me some ideas about the city for my itinerary 😊 thanks
When we were younger, it was either: 1. "If you don't stop fighting, we'll go home right now! Trip is cancelled!"; or 2. "If you don't stop fighting, we'll leave you here!" 😅
they really aren't that friendly. i remember buying a lot of cheap clothes there and the owner got pissed (usually older ppl there aren't super friendly) kaya minsan talaga nasasabi ko na im grateful that a lot of pinoys are aproachable and very kind. AND!!! i went to some local restos there too to try some local foods tapos ayun di ko nakain mga gusto ko kasi mostly walang pictures and nagmamadali yung cashier/kumukuha ng orders 😭 WHAT MORE IF YOU ARE IN MAINLAND CHINA? i think it's in their culture, most of the times that come off as rude or quite strict, the way they approach people. but that aside, there were also nice ones - skl! yung mag nobyo/nobya, we got lost pero tinulungan kami to find our hotel, sinamahan talaga kami. but funny thing sabi nila it's just a short walk but ended up na it was a 30-40min walk. we got super tired kasi nga may nga bagahe but it was understandable bcs they are used to walking while us filipinos? not so much 😂
Hindi nga friendly ang mga taga HK.. Na-experience namin na mabulyawan ng matandang bus driver kasi ang bagal daw namin,, eh ang bibigat ng maleta namin tsaka 5 kaming sumasakay na may bitbit na maleta.
A friend bought USBs there where you went to the camera place store, he bought 20 USBs I forgot how much he spent but it was expensive cuz he thinks it is a good pasalubong.... he didn't check before buying and gave it to his friend's, none of them works XD such a scam and waste of money X he learned his lesson
In HK many of the young wish to leave and the middle aged and older are pro CCP. Many do not like westerners and can be rude esepcially in Causeway Bay and Kowloon. Visit ten years ago, people were much nicer.
I see Hong Kong people's attitude hasn't changed much. But I remember their food was really good. P.S. Are you sure that the hotel you stayed in is 5-star?
