all these homeless men appeared to be in fairly good spirits. I think the homeless individual here are aware of the challenges facing their situation and cope with it pretty well.

There are many many homeless people who have “fell through the cracks” and really need and deserve help. And yes, some are drug / alcohol related. And a lot that need psychiatric help. And then you have the lazy ones. Don’t want to work. Who would rather go around stealing bicycles, mopeds or whatever you have in your garage that they can walk away with. Born and raised here I’ve seen it turned into an Epidemic 😩 🌴😎🌈Aloha🤙🏼

The main problem with homeless everywhere? the garbage surrounding most camp sites. Bizarre - nothing to do but trash their camps - it’s beyond belief

They should stop babying the homeless. They feed them, let them live where ever they want, use the bathroom all over the place, never arrested for anything, don't pay any taxes, just being a problem. Stop babying them. They are just living off of it. They don't want to work for anything. All they want is everything free.

When you see in china or some other country poor kids sell some fruits to pay themselves for food and to see homeless in this country it’s huge difference, at least government can provide them a job cleaning streets, do some painting and pay for it good money or something to help them to move on and not as bad habit

Of course they would work if someone would hire them but most employers do not hire the homeless. Our society is not nice to homeless people. We have sheltered people who don’t work and live off of the government, but i guess that’s acceptable (not). I was recently in Honolulu and i saw a lot of older homeless people sleeping at the gas station and sitting in wheelchairs. The problem is that We don’t have enough affordable housing for seniors, but provide housing for those who are able to work but chooses to have kids and live off of assistance.

How about we make their pay depend on the number of people living on the streets. Maybe then some of these issues would get fixed

Most of the homeless choose to not follow the rules in shelters, they choose this way of life, some how they just move to another location, and continue to do what they want.

People attracted by the “freedom” that homelessness can offer will most likely never conform to a shelter’s rules

Is Hawaii a sanctuary state like California and New York? Gov Abbot should fly some immigrants over to a nice and warm place. 650 billion a year to fund illegals in the US. 15 billion to build a wall. Imagine if a fraction of what we spend on illegals could be spent on American homeless especially the veterans.
@everydaystruggle_hi

Ship them to California where the rest of the homeless live.
@Brandon-yz4tz
@Brandon-yz4tz 7 месяцев назад
No. No. No. Let's clean up the entire mainland by shipping them out to Hawaii. The weather is warmer, streets are safer and much of their food is cheaper than California. Only certain food items are more expensive, typically the things that expire within a month. Canned foods are 99 cents.

Hawaii is a sanctuary state declared as such by our last governor. They ship homeless here, give them instructions to apply for Federal EBT/food stamps, how to collect unemployment, etc.

@@everydaystruggle_hi Let's agree to disagree; 99 percent of the issues with drugs starts at the home; the broken nuclear family, lack of discipline, lack of education, etc. The government has failed to win the war on drugs and will NEVER WIN!

So much land in 49 states , so wrong for other states to send their homeless . Yes, some states winter is too harsh , yet instead of florida and California, Nevada, Arizona they send them to the state with the least land and cut òff ftom other states . Just on land and limited housing Hawii should be exempt.
