I’ve been looking for an alternative to the gen 3 16mm scorpius since they got banned. I hear a lot of people talking about these paddles and they seem like I might really enjoy them. Would love to get my hands on one.

Huge range in swing weights 110-116, 110 would be great for the pro, but not worth the risk of getting shipped a 116…so you made the J3k Pro into a J3k!

@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball you email support with your order info and ask them for what swing weight you want, then they'll try to get you one as close to your request as they can. They said there was a lot of orders so they might not be able to get you exactly what you want.

I like J3K as a good standard control paddle, however, I think the 6" grip is a bit too long, the hitting surface of the Apollo is 10.4"X8.1", J3K is 10"X8". The top could be made aero shape so the swing weight could be further reduced.

I have the J2k, my favorite paddle of all time. Interested in trying out the wide body variant of it, the J3k, curious to compare it with the Mach 2 forza, my favorite control paddle.

It's not as exciting at the J2k. The Apollo is better overall because it's more customizable with lower swing and higher twists.

I love my J2K, and I trust this company to make a great paddle. I have friends looking for a replacement for their Gen 3 Scorpeus, and I think the J3K Pro is the closest thing out there

I switched back to a standard size paddle (Pursuit Pro) after playing with the heavier Legacy Pro. I did lose some power so it would interesting to see if the J3Pro can give me similar power to the Legacy.

Honolulu told me the J3K has more pop than the J3. So I guess if you want something in the middle go J3K. More muted, J3 and Poppy+ J3Kpro

Wide body might be an option…..never played with a wide body …. both have great benefits bigger sweet spot or more pop….great breakdown… either one would be a great option…thanks for the info 👍

I have been trying out the standard shape/wide bodies for a few weeks now and they seem to be easier on my tennis elbow than elongated. I think the power and pop of the pro would be better for me.

Tested the Fatboy a few days ago.. i feel that my Apollo and the Fatboy both have very similar feel. Fatboy's advantage is with dinking because of the unique shape

Nothing will compare to the gen 3 Scorpeus power pop combo at that swing weight the foam used in the core just does so much work. I’m not worried about the durability of Kevlar at the moment. People have been using them for long enough with a lot of use.

How would you compare the J3K to the Volair Mach 2 Forza 16 MM? Would you say the J3k (Not Pro) is softer than the Forza?

J3K has more power and pop but comes at a higher swing weight. I would say the 16mm Forza feels very smooth and is a tank that lets you be in control of the ball but doesn’t provide much offense in it’s own besides the elite spin and lower swing weight. The J3K feels worse on off center shots than the M2F 16mm but doesn’t impact performance

Great review, man! I’ve been using elongated paddles since I’ve started playing, tried the J7K Pro and loved it but would like to try a paddle that’s more geared toward control. And I love Honolulu so the J3K looks like a solid option.

Love to see you review the new Body Helix X4 Kevlar. I played with the prototype last week and it was the best hybrid paddle I’ve played with. Solid power, great control and huge sweet spot. I know the owner and I bet if you reach out to him, he’ll get one to you.
