Hawaii's second deadliest mass murder occurred in Manoa on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of a father, mother, and three children from stab wounds. The police received an anonymous call at 8:30 a.m., discovering the crime scene upon entering the home. The father was identified as the perpetrator, fatally stabbing his family before turning the blade on himself.

Sometimes wry humor helps to quell the aching sense of loss. So all of you calling to ban assault knives, we get it. No worries. We try to shake off the pain of it all in different ways. Some people blame the perp. Some just leave flowers and teddy bears. We all have to deal in our own way.
