using honor 10 lite for 3 1/2 years. problems that i encountered were the (1) worn micro usb port so i had to repair and replace it at a local shop (2) the glue in the display panel became worn off and doesnt stick anymore so i had to reglue it. (3) the lcd display problem became glitchy cuz its an old phone. sometimes it has temporary screen burns and flickering screens. i think that would be too much repair for now so i'll have it replaced with iphone 11. Edit: for the performace, i'm currently running android 10 and sometimes it just lags on certain applications such as tiktok, shopee, and foodpanda. but other apps are still okay and can run smoothly. battery life still okay even though i unhealthily charge this device (using it while charging, removing from charger even when not full, fully draining the battery). of course ive dropped it multiple times but no major cracks that affected the display.
How about when taking pictures or videoing. Any difficulty so far? I hear some videos say it's not as easy as other phones. And any problem plucking in the earphone socket to the phone?
Thanks for doing a proper real world drop test. Although I would have loved to see drops from the corners, I think this drop test is more realistic than the foolish ads of others trying to smash fruit. Fruits are soft and it totally defeats the purpose of showing screen durability.
When your phone accidentally drops, it's impossible to be that you are smashing it onto the ground! My phone drops just a few times and it's cracking the phone sides. Seems this won't ever have such problems. 😁
I've been a Samsung baby since I started owning a phone and my problem is my grip is not that tight and I always accidentally drop my phone. I have replaced 4 times the LCD of my previous phone. I just bought Honor X9a last year November and I have dropped my phone multiple times already and believe me my screen is still smoother as new. Really recommendable for people like me who easily drop phones
Why do drop tests always make the phone fall face down? Hold the phone at a corner and drop it so that it lands on a corner edge. I reckon we'd see a few broken screens if that was the test. In real life phones fall at all angles and it's at this point where they're at their most fragile.
Thank you so much for your review. I was initially going to purchase the Vivo V27e cater watching several reviews of yours of different models. Instead of purchasing it online, went to Direct to try out the phones and found the Vivo V27e had grainy pictures. Purchased this Honor x9a instead at RM 1299 (promo price) and am very happy with it.
I was looking for this phone, but it's also marketed as the magic 5 lite in some markets. Just ordered it last night. I like all of your reviews. Cheers from Texas.
My old honor 20e broke and am happy with durability of my x8 cuz i was going to my friends house and i was climbing some stairs it fell out of my pocket i almost craped myself luckily it is ok and i honestly am going to continue to buy honor phones in the future
Me just replaced my oppo f11 screen for the 2nd time. It easily broken. I look for the new phone that tougher and i think this new honor is the best choice!
Hello, thanks for sharing this video. I saw techwave website written this X9a having the infrared but the Honor official website doesn't stated have infrared, so which one is true ya?
Phone falls sideways/ on edges so controlled face first fall is nothing. Drop it top/bottom first then we see what will. Because that is the real life fall and not this controlled face down first.
1 thing i worried about is there any promise on software support from honor ? future android support or security support ? i dont wanna buy 1500myr phone if i just stuck in android 13.
