Easy tricks to know who Ethel is when she creates the illusions:
Only the real Ethel has the "Fey Life" passive feature.
Ethel in disguise has 8 HP, Mayrina has 10
Magic Missile is a must have for this fight. You could do it with level 4 characters if you choose to bring another Caster with magic missile. I used the Warlock imp summon and "Mage Hand". But I did not want to risk it, especially when I wanted to use the trick in the video to both kill the Hag and get the item she gives you for sparing her.
You have to destroy all summoned illusions every turn, otherwise they will start casting Damage and control spells like "Hold Person" or "Ray of Sickness". If you destroy them before the end of each turn, Ethel will be occupied with recasting the illusion and doing nothing else.
Before long resting: Fight the Red Caps and unmask her cursed prisoners in the room behind the wooden illusion wall. And I also saved Mayrinas Brothers as well. They stand at the point where they talk to Ethel before the swamp.
That is the perfect outcome in my opinion. Another thing I realized was, that when you meet Mayrina in the tea house, no one mentions her brothers and you also can not bring them up. No one thinks they are dead, they are not away in some farm - they are still standing there.
