I like that scoop, Plus I would leave that chrome inside of it makes it stand out more

I vote leave the metal unpainted, it’s just another place for paint to chip off from. It looks mean & clean as is! JD

I'm sure you have already made up your mind, however I would leave the trim piece alone. It accents the work that has been done. Ok, I have a 2002 S10 V8 that just got done about 3 weeks ago. This is my big debate as well. I wanted to go with the sleeper look. The sound gives it away with the cam lopping, not to mention the tach and shift light on the dash. Im looking at a shotgun air scoop for mine. I'm thinking it will have better appeal, as well as serving some purpose to also let some heat out. I do have a new double row radiator, dual electric fans set up. But there is still a good amount of heat up under the hood. I was going to put smaller vents on both sides of the hood, then I thought about a low profile hood scoop. Since I watched your video which is well done if I might say. It's helped me make up my mind as to go ahead and cut the hood for a shotgun air scoop. I've always wanted one. I like the look of the operating butterfly shutters opening and closing. Your video gave me alot of oversight on what to do. Thank you.

not bad, much better than leaving it chrome, but if I were you I'd make a square scoop out of black plastic or plexi glass maybe a tad bit wider than that.

Use stainless steel 3/16" rivets, too hold the mesh, throw the bolts in the bin

That little bit of chrome would have looked good with grill and headlights besals chromed and the little trim around the windshield. But im with you really dont like the look of the hood scoop

i have the same scoop, it also comes with a metal screwdriver clamp, where does that go?

Needs a much coarser mesh in front, behind the screen, filter
