Hooded Eye Makeup for Mature Eyes 

Ok, hands down the best eye makeup tutorial I’ve seen! I’m determined to master a natural, eye-opening look for these hooded eyes of mine…I think this will do it! 🙌 Thank you!

Oh my goodness, you knocked this out of the park. I'm 71, and I have such hooded eyes, it's so disheartening. You really made this simple, straightforward, no drama or silliness. What a breath of fresh air. I will be following your suggestions and be thanking you every day.

Loved this! You are a great teacher. I was on the right track with my 77 year old eyes, but you have made it so much better. Most people think I’m in my early 60’s. Ha!

I’ve had so much happen over the past year…stress beyond stress…COVID twice, losses in my family, diagnosed w hypothyroidism, etc. It’s aged me in every way. I’ve gained 40lbs, lost half my hair, & either developed or now just really notice my hooded eyes. This all on top of never being good at make up. So I’ve been feeling very down & helpless. Anyhow, sorry about the venting- I do have a point: This one video, between your amazing personality (the way you speak like you’re in my house helping me lol) & what I watched you do w your eye makeup, it made me feel like I could actually do that :) Maybe it could help me feel a bit better about myself, so I’m able to face ppl again outside of just home or work, while I’m continuing to try & fix all the other issues…so thank you for giving me a sliver of hope 😊 Edit: I forgot to mention I subbed to you, as well!

Oh my gosh! You validated the white chunky liner I used as a 90’s teenager! I have smaller eyes and fair skin, so the normal black mascara with white liner above really helped my eyes pop. I lost that cheap chunky liner and haven’t found anything quite like it. It glided on easily and opaque. Oh the 90’s

Yes with the help on brushes! But please don’t choose a super expensive set! I will admit that they are very beneficial, but I will also admit that I know me well enough to know that I would never pay what some of these people charge for a set of brushes! (I do love the shadows..Milani?)

As you probably know they discontinued the elf putty eye primer .. Do you have any recommendations for a substitute thanks for replying

A Hooded Eye IS: “Hooded eyelid is a term that is used to describe the appearance seen when a large amount of skin forms a 'hooded' appearance over the upper eyelids due to age-related changes in the eyelid and eyebrow. The hooding of the upper eyelids makes the person look old and tired.” Unfortunately your description of what a hooded eye is, is Incorrect.

How do you put concealer on, I have dark circles and my skin is so thin and I always look cakey and more wrinkled, please help I am 51, so I'm having a hard time accepting these wrinkles coming up

I was excited until you used liner on the waterline. Unfortunately, this is the cause of my dry eye disease and my eye doctors are seeing it more and more. Please tell your followers there is a risk that it can cause a problem because make up blocks the Meibomian glands on the waterline and tear film can not flow freely. I’m not trying to be awkward but the pain I and many people are suffering means people need the knowledge. Please look it up, as a make up artist you should be aware of this.

I loved everything you showed! Could you show us how to keep the upper waterline color from getting onto the lower water line too much? It transfers unevenly on me. Maybe I put too much?

This was so simple, loved it and your off the cuff style. If you haven’t tried it, one of those silly jaw exercisers that you bite down on does wonders for the neck and jawline. I’ve always had a softer jawline and noticed sagging a few years ago. I started using this and it firmed up my jawline quickly! I still can’t believe how much better my jaw looks at 40 vs 35!

Why do you have to see the eyelid? Who says? This is what makes me laugh about these hooded eye videos. There are different eye shapes. Hooded eyes are sexy... they're often called Bedroom Eyes.There's no reason to have to show the eyelid.

New subscriber! This was THE most helpful tutorial! I almost threw out my Milani most loved mattes! My challenge is the trifecta of hooded (due to heavy fold), minimal lid space AND downturned fold past my outer corner (blocking any attempt to make a wing eyeliner)☹️ A brush tutorial would be great! I have been buying the smallest eye brushes(ELF and Rephr-on sale) since my crease/lid area is so small.

I just say this tutorial on the C technique outer corner is super on my very hooded eyes. Never could get outer corner to look good. I use Bobby Brown shadow stick and don't get any fall out. Thank you much.

Hi. Thank you for that and the last 3 vids I've just seen on creams and ? I like the way you communicate like a normal human. An issue for me is everyone i watch send to have fair it what i consider fair skin. I have never ever used make up, am 63, severely hooded eyes, lots of wrinkles and dark skin. I'm caucasian but everyone thinks I've always been in the sun but NO. I don't go there (Tho i lived and worked in the sun for 35 years so you can imagine!!) I now NEED makeup but i want to look natural. Just lifted, fresh, blended & my eyes UP. So, my question is, how do i know what colours to use on darker skin, have brown eyes, silver, gray, browny gold hair, no eyebrows, and SEVERELY HOODED LIDS. thanks for any advice. I'm desperate
