Well, what can I say?! Freezing, backbreaking, rockhard hooves, numb fingers, dripping nose, wind chill and now, blunt nippers. Only a dozen or so more to trim. Pure dedication. 😎😎

Im impressed. Hoof trimmings is laborious work. Take care of your body, or it will take a toll on you in your older years. I worked hard in my younger years and full of arthritis now because of it. I know work has to be done but dont forget about you! You're a tough, strong woman, and did i mention amazing too!! Many blessings for you and your rescues. ❤ from Arizona

@MaxNafeHorsemanship
@MaxNafeHorsemanship 5 месяцев назад
It's not always about knowledge. It's practical too. I can make sure my horse's hooves are cared for whenever needed and all the tools pay for themselves in about 6 trims. If you have more than one horse, that doesn't take long.

@@MaxNafeHorsemanship I owen two horses myself and I don't need your high-handed lecture. I am just modest enough to show respect to her work and especially how she is doing it. I sadly know too many horse owners who are just in love with themselves owning a horse with nearly no knowledge - a complete Desaster for the horses but a big win for all vets. With this background it makes me happy esch time to watch her Videos. You need more knowledge yourself to See that.

I paid close attention, and every move you made reminded me of my farrier when I had two young geldings in my mid life. I'd seen enough to know I wanted better for my boys. Once I found Gary (retired now) I would not allow anyone else to touch my babies hooves but him. He never frightened or showed any anger or frustration with these two young ones. They were trained well to lift their feet but didn't have the maturity or patience to stand still very long. After Gary worked with them a couple of trims or shoeing, they settled in and he never had any trouble with them. He prepared them well. I still miss talking with him about the importance of hoof care. Learned so much from him and was always happy to pay his fee. He was worth it. I bet your farrier LOVES to come to your barn. He knows you are taking care of your horses. Loved this video and watching your excellent work.

There’s another horse rescue that I watch and they have a farrier(same guy every time) come in and he has the most difficult time with almost every horse and I don’t know if it’s because these are your horses and there’s a level of trust with you that there wouldn’t be with a someone that comes in occasionally but you make this stuff look easy. Thank you for all of your videos! Equine Pedicure: What a treat to actually see this procedure from beginning to ending; CC, how do you know how "deep" to make an incision to remove the "frog?" What's underneath it? When humans cut their cuticles down to the quick, they sometimes draw blood.
