A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. @@kelsey1467it’s SpongeBob’s own fault for going on the last hook so I think he deserves it. Mr Krabs and Squidward had to do it so SpongeBob wouldn’t go near another hook. Those people kinda get upset if SpongeBob gets karma like pranks a lot for example

Ive noticed that barnacle boy is like squidward lite, in the sense that he's the stick in the mud in nearly every episode he's involved in and is often the butt of the joke as a result, but he's more agreeable and his attitude is more justifiable than squid on an average basis.

Back when I lived with my parents, I stuck a piece of paper to the computer screen that said “April Fools..”, then I told my dad that there was a strange message on it. He got mad because he thought he was gonna have to get a new one. He got irritated when he found out it was a prank, and said it wasn’t funny. Then, he finally laughed about it a couple of hours later

Does anybody else see the allegory here? Hooky is an episode about grownups warning you about an activity that other kids think is just harmless fun when in fact is dangerous. You feel like you’re taking a fun ride travelling high and fast, and eventually come back down to Earth, wanting to go back up again. Then you get in real trouble when you get hooked, which can end up with you going to a facility where others are rendered dried-up versions of their former selves. Or worse, you could wind up being confined to a cramped-up living situation surrounded by metal on all sides.

There are 2 “King Neptune”s; one is just a mermaid, the other is a God. Poseidon also seems to exist in this world, but is only mentioned and never pictured (as far as I’m aware.)

Here, we guest star John O'Hurley as King Neptune and Charles Nelson Reily as the Dirty Bubble. And I must say, Patrick's instincts to sense danger from the hooks must be rusty due to his stupidity. Also, "Fools in April" is definitely one of my favorites from season 1. It shows Squidward finding himself having to apologize for his actions.

One year for April Fools day, it was also Easter that day, I found a little plastic easter egg and I hid a little message inside saying "April Fools!" on it. I made it around March, and I've been keeping somewhere where no one could open it. My brother thought I was hiding some money in it. His reaction was the best! Also another harmless prank I've done was one year, this was around the time where my sister was in gymnastics practice, and my brother was upstairs, minding his own business, when I went up to the stairway and impersonated my sister by saying "I'm back from Gymnastics!" Boy I tell ya, he was pretty gullible back then. But not as bad as my sister because one year, like a couple years ago I believe, my stepmom wanted her to do something, but my sister said no. So I came in and told her to follow the rhythm of my head, which was nodding it yes. And then I told my stepmom that my sister was willing to help her. I'm such an evil sibling

Unlike episodes 1-19 that aired from May 1999-April 2000, Hooky aired on February 23, 2001 and MM&BB2 aired on March 3, 2001 as Nick aired them during the U-Pick segments. Anyways, these are classic episodes, and I consider season 1 to be a classic due to the introductions and moments like the Pizza Delivery and SB-129 episodes, yet I also love seasons 2 and 3.

A little fun fact about Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy they are based on the 1966 Batman TV Series in fact Adam West and Burt Ward who played Batman and Robin in that show voice young Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy in the episode Back to the Past it's a really good episode it's one of my favorites Spongebob is such a legendary show

I used to prank my mom all the time, we lived next to my high school so I walked from home and on days they let us out early my mom was never aware of it so when I would show up back home mid afternoon I would tell her I got expelled.

Oh man, i remember how much i got mad at squidward when i first saw the april fools ep as a kid. Like i don't understand why he kept getting mad with spongebob's pranks. Spongebob even promised to him that he wouldn't prank him for the rest of the day and guess what? He did kept his promise, and he got to prank others. Plus, his pranks were just simple fun to make others laugh, and YET squidward was still getting mad?? Yes i agree that spongebob can be... a little annoying? But he is still a sweet adult with the heart of a child 🥺

I can tolerate SpongeBob’s antics sometimes but he is pretty annoying. And Squidward did apologize. I think he was annoyed with his laughter

The April Fools Day episode is my least favorite episode of SpongeBob. Cause I hate that Squidward made SpongeBob cry, even though the costumers had sympathy for him and turned on Squidward.

Ok but i love the subtle foreshadowing in Neptune's Spatula. Like, why would he need to have a special excalibur-esque challenge if he could magically make his own food? Becuz god king can't cook to save his life 😂
