i had three of these sheets but problem is when it’s windy it rips over time and they big holes in the material ,are not really waterproof so they unstick
I have a very small window opening, it is only 16x16 inches. Could I cut this down to fit the window? Or would you have any suggestions on how I could place the exhaust hose and seal off the rest of the window?
Listen....this is much better than the other computer generated video you have but does not answer the question of if your window is not the exact size and there is OVERHang. Show a video on how to deal with that. I found a solution myself but honestly do the job right and tackle the tough questions like overhang.
I went against inatructions and added velcro all around including in the back, my window isn't tight at the back and I had one gap in the back through which hot air was coming in since the AC makes the apartment air lower pressure than outside. So I made sure to close the back tightly too, the overhang was almost exactly perfect for a standard EU window and now I haven't got any majoe leaks and this little 200€ unit is on its way to making my 65m2 apartment cold AF which is more than the manufacturer says but I think they include a bunch of leaks from a bad seal so if you make it real tight your AC might be way more powerful, certainly more efficient.
Why are there are no products specifically for outward opening windows. 90% of people in the uk have outward opening windows but there’s no product. How crap is that.
This works on outward opening windows too, the amazon link I've added below shows a few different options. We have outward opening windows and it works perfectly. There are more videos on RU-vid of people showing these being installed. If you have 3 sides that open, you only need to measure 3 sides. Hope that helps. www.amazon.co.uk/HOOMEE-Universal-Window-Portable-Conditioner/dp/B07C986TBQ/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1GG1OGXQPMKD5&dchild=1&keywords=window%2Bkit%2Bair%2Bconditioning&qid=1597310464&sprefix=window%2Bkit%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-8&th=1

I need some help please - I recently got the same SHE SHINCO it says in the book to connect the tube to extract water in the upper area on the back whilst its cooling the room - but no water is being pumped out. Is this ok until it says to empty the tank or is this a big issue?
Thank you for your question! If there is a gap between the window frame and window casement, you can also attach the Velcro on the sides with the window hinges. You can better see this process of attaching the Velcro on all sides of the window in our other video for outward opening windows: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uGrYMK8S8vU.html
Will not work for Parisian door-windows (porte-fenetres) with the metal rod running up and down the whole length of the window on the side that opens. There's not enough room for the Velcro tape, even on the edge of the door-window.
Do you only stick it to 3 of the 4 sides? I dont understand from this video. And does tht window still close? Where does thr fabric hang when the window is shut?
Can it be easily be removed if you dont want it. Because I keep my window open for a large part of the day so I will only need it during the day once or maybe at night
Hello! Thank you so much for your question. In this case you can opt for the 300Cm Window Seal, which is the smallest size we have - you will have some excess cloth to deal with, but you can easily follow our tips in our guide here: bit.ly/WSealFAQ Or, you can opt for this model here: amzn.to/2CJnsPb which includes 2 x 230CM window seal. In this case, you won't have any excess cloth to deal with, since it fits your window size better. But this kit comes with 2 pieces, as I said. You just need the one with the zippers. Hope this helps! please feel free to contact us for any further inquiries at info@hoomee.com
My window is 73.5 inches long and 23.5 inches wide... It opens outward only at the bottom of the window 17.5 inches high with the width 23.5 inches wide... I don't think this would work... Does anyone know of one that would work???
Really bad lighting. Curious what the corners of the windows and "casement" look like when the straight Velcro has to turn a corner...tends to leave a bunch of excess on the inside corner. Also, I put the "A" side on the frame, and the "B" side on the window itself and at the end there is always excess on the B side so it's really awkward...Really not impressed. Tarp and duct tape would be easier and much more efficient.
Hello Jarod, Thank you so much for your comment. Here there are some suggestions for you: For the velcro: make sure to cut the strips at the corners to avoid to "curve" the straight line. This will make the velcro much more tidy. For the excess: make sure to start the installation of the cloth from the middle of the casement/frame. This is very important. To deal with the excess cloth, please check out our tips listed in this useful guide: bit.ly/WSealFAQ If you need further assistance with the installation process, please contact us at info@hoomee.com. We can assist you step by step! Looking forward to hearing from you! Regards, HOOMEE
Thank you for your message! Could you please give us some more specification on the type of window you have in your basement? You could easily send us an email via info@hoomee.com (with photo) and we will give you a personal recommendation. We look forward to your message!
@@hoomee4418 Actually I already did, ordered the product, and now it's currently set up on my basement window. It's not the prettiest setup, but it works way better than everything else I've tried, so I'm really happy with it.
I have the bottom of the window about 1 meter high (I live in an attic apartment) and so the pipe keeps pulling off the zipper or sometimes the pipe just slips out of it no matter what I do. My window is not rectangular or square because it follows the plane of the roof at the top of the window and the window is bigger than the average windows, so the net is just tricky for it. But what else can I do?
Hello, it works also for outwards opening windows :) We haven't prepared a specific video yet, but you can download specific instructions at this page: bit.ly/OutwardsOpeningWindowPDF Hope this helps! Thank you so much HOOMEE

works but i have to buy new one every year as material RIPS in a few days its very thin, also the warm outside air still come through this - its better then nothing but needs to be thicker and tin/foil based stop that hot air
It should keep the heat out. For me the material does a good job even with strong wind. Did you buy this brand or other? Otherwise would advise to try the hoomee :)
@@bartgroeneboom3434 it was defo this brand - ive gone through TWO a year as its that thin after open/closing windows a few times it rips holes - only reason i keep buying is because theres no other solution at moment for my rented high rise flat. with these type of windows.
The video is very nice but the reality is that it is not worth anything, neither that you measure nor that you do not measure, it does not allow the window to open enough to insert the tube, it is a very weak fabric and it tears easily since it is very difficult to close the window without being caught. And for more inri you can only see its ineffectiveness or its impossible installation once the velcros are put on.

It is to keep the hose attached to the window seal. You can stick cable tie through the zippers and around the hose to attach. Is also shown in the video :)
i used it on one window one year and a different window for 2 years due to space.. 7 years later my first window is STILL STICKY from the glue with stains..
hi! will the adhesive on the velcro be hard to remove once i want to put away the window kit? will it also stick/damage the window casement? thanks in advance!
Hello, thank you for your question! You have the option of removing just the window seal and leaving the Velcro for future use, however when it comes to removing the Velcro there should be little to no residue left on the window. If there is residue it can be removed with warm soapy water.
Thank you for your message! You can easily detach (a part of) your window seal and close your window. Just make sure you do not clamp the window seal in between your window casement and frame. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us via info@hoomee.com
Hello! Thank you so much for your comment. If the size of 420cm refers to just 1 single window panel, you can pick the 400cm one. Please feel free to contact us for any further information at info@hoomee.com Have a great day! HOOMEE
Hello! Thank you so much for your comment! It's not necessary to keep the window open all the time, but just as long as you use your portable A/C. When you don't need your A/C, you can easily close the window. Plus, while in use, the product protects you from mosquitoes and rain as well. Simply unlock the cable tie, open the zippers, take off the hose and detach the cloth from the panel only. This way you can close the window. More details on our website hoomee.com Thank you! HOOMEE
The wiping is the only part of the video that is normally explained. All the other explanations, that are more important to know, are filmed very closely, and it''s not clear at all which parts of the window the Velcro is placed. Not useful video at all.
