lol yeah man. For those who don't know, Forklift University (FU) is very real, im on my second licence, its a joke of a certification but its a cheep option for a shop. You just watch bad infomercial type videos (people die) and choose the obvious answers for like 30 min. its a beautiful thing. Proud FU alumni .

Spinddrift yeah yeah I know! Trust me I’m a fan of everything LS swapped but this light weight bug doesn’t need it. Honda J-series is a great alternative, hell even the K-series motors could make plenty of power for this thing.

Not sure about that 5 cylinder part lol Most available turbo diesels are 4 or 6 cylinders except the outrageously cool and limited v10.... but a well tuned TDI is a fantastic option

Torque is only half of the equation. Torque is how much WORK (force × displacement) is done per revolution (at a given rpm because engine efficiency varies at different rpms). Horsepower is how much POWER is delivered or the rate at which work is done.

Best fun I ever had as a kid/teen was when my dad got a VW bug and chopped it to look like a Baja. Back then, late 70s early 80s he just cut the fenders added long exhaust big tires on the rear and just tuned up the engine nothing special but boy did we have fun. These cars remind me of that. Thanks for sharing

I used those CNC cutting brakes as a base when I designed the cutting/turning brakes on my teams mini Baja car in college. Usually for a right hand installation you’d want the housing hooked up such that you pull back for a right hand turn and push forward for a left hand turn. Meshes a little better with how you the Gs push your body around.
