I have learned more from you than anybody....I love your teaching style! Thanks so much for the tips! You are absolutely awesome and I love your humor - AND what you were "actually listening to." ha ha
wow, you are such an amazing hooper! and great at making tutorials! I am dense as lead when it comes to learning new tricks and your tuts really help :)
As always , you explain the move so well. I really love the slow mo movement on the hand grip. Awesome, in this video you embody the essence of summer !!
just a minute in -- and the quality of your explanation & video slow is UNprecedented -- super thank you thank you Babz... and here we go with the lesson ; )
Got it! Thanks. I always watch your videos, even if I think the move is too hard for me. THEN, eventually I get bored hooping the same tricks and I try it out. I have watched pretty much all your videos and know many of the tricks. Now I just need help with transitioning between them! I have no idea how to move that hoop around in a cool way between tricks!
I love this! And, I cannot figure it out for anything. I've watched the video dozens of times and am stuck on how this works. Hope to be getting it soon--thanks for making it!
just came across your vid, had to subscribe after the first one, I just love the way you put your tutorial together and the intonations on your voice, I really appreciate the slow motion, helps my body catch the movement :o)
loving the learning process in another beautiful country. australia... thanks you . and to keep you on your toes how about a tutorial on ankle flick pick up cause it looks impossible to learn.
Babz, I love your teaching style so much. Do you mind if I make a little bit of a request? Its not for a tutorial but I would love to watch a full clip of you hoop dancing. You have all these tutorials and I've only ever seen your flow in short bits. It's so entertaining I would love to see more :)
oh and by the way i no what u mean by robot hooping!! ahah i was actulay a dancer before i picked up hooping and its so much more entertaining to watch when u move and groove with it! your an amazing hooper and thanks so much for your tutorials!! they help a lot!
i love this video so much that i went to the dollar store and saw a $1 cheapie hoop with rocks in it, cheaply taped, about the same size so i grabbed it, de-rocked it, and re-taped it with lime green duck tape. it's worked beautifully for me, and it's EXTREMELY lightweight. try it out, ladies!
well it couldn't hurt but my best suggestion is to loosen your grip and get some momentum going. This move is nearly imposible to do slowly. maybe try it kneeling down so the hoop can sit on the ground eliminating the need for a death grip.
First of all, you are flipping awesome!!!!! Secondly, you should totally do a tutorial for that combo between 4:35-38 where you begin with jumping into the hoop and end with the cool elbow hoop thing!
@tecktonikjoe the music is cut from a mix i have, i usually grab stuff out of mixes to avoid copyright stuff. and the song at the end is sweet city woman by the stampeders. if you send me a message i would email you the mix but its 2.5 hours long, a bit to big to email methinks.
@spiderbabyspider actually today is the coldest day we've had this winter -30C with blowing snow and a wind chill that brings it down to -40C, which coincidentally is also -40F. freekin freeeeezing!!!
hehehehe, so someone at the park was tryin to describe this tutorial to me so I could help her learn the trick, and she was describe the trick a little, and i said, "oh, was she(the person doing the tut) standing in a field? In Canada?" And she said, "yeah!" Love you and your tuts (and your super beautiful backdrops.) Thanks for teaching everyone fun, interesting tricks!!!
For everyone requesting what track is playing in the background (And I know you love it!) I present to you: Crew 7 - Thunderstruck (Sunrider Remix) I'm not sure exactly which mix from MissDVS it is from but enjoy none the less. You are most welcome
if it wasnt for you i might still be waist hooping ! iv learnrd so much from your tutorials ! keep up the good work and please come to california and hoop with us
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! I feel like I robot hoop at times. Been practicing about four months. I love it. I just can't seem to move quite as rhythmically as I see people do. And btw if I ever saw u at a park I'd hoop w you for sure: )
i am having troubles from not morphing this move into a basic weave. are you doing a side isolation on each side? or just one? when you release at the top, are you letting the hoop pop and rotate, or are you immediately pulling it to the oposite side? any advice would be great
heck yeah the rockies... beautiful...yer instructional video as well thanks... i'm stoked to figure this out...... anywho what is the name of the music you were really hooping too? i really don't want to sift through yer pages of comments. :)
hmmmmm, 22 eh? more momentum? I think you're going to have to do this one pretty quick to keep it looking clean. I dont think ive ever tried doing this move with a mini... something to try!
Do u use a polypro cuz im starting to wonder why no hoopers or any vendors told me about that before i bought the regular hoops i have AND bought my own tubing to make a bunch of eifferent sizes, when really if I had a poly I'd be able to do much better tricks with lighter hoops.
no, no I don't. a lot of people have a tricky time with that one. but I dont see myself doing a tutorial for in any time in the near future. anybody reading this have any idea what the move is called?
Didn't realize it was so Nice out there, you're only 4 hours away! Love this tutorial, it's so easy to follow!! I haven't hooped in a long time, Would like to get into hoop dancing, I think with your Videos I could be pro Pretty fast!! :p you are Amazing!! how long have you been hooping for??
Babz can you pretty please do a tutorial on the jump through? I can almost get it but I think I need a bigger hoop.. mine is smaller than waist height..
I'm trying to learn a move similar to this, but instead of whipping it forward, you whip it backwards. :l I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to do that one, though. There's so many different names for each hoop trick, it's hard to find specific isolation tricks on here.
I watched this video over and over again and as good as her video is demonstration wise its still verryyyyy hard to see the hand switching. If you want to figure it out i suggest you have the hoop in your hand as your watching this and do the ol pause and play pause and play right as her hand is switching, only after doing that about several times did that little lightbulb go off in my head. Good luck and thanks for the video !
@chlosepher Thanks so much!! ya, i know i really need to post a just me hooping video, sadly i have no hoop space right now and its winter here so it may be put off till summer :(
