Well... it is an interesting pick as a psychic raid attacker, especially against a Fighting type boss, mostly due to it's resistances. But of course, there are better psychics out there, and cheaper to raise. Overall... I'll just wait for the Unbound form. xD
There was supposed to be a catch achievement style event for Hoopa but they removed it after the first few hours of it. That coupled with the delays in the research we got makes me think they don't entirely care about it. Unbound may be useful.
Ok so I just looked it up and Astonish is the only ghost type move that is a quick move here, in the main series games. And something interesting to note is that all these moves are learned by level up normally in the main series (Although Shadow Ball and Psychic can be learned by TM as well but I digress)
Honestly, I am a bit tired of those legendaries and mythical pokémon being held back by rubbish moveset. Astonish... when it could have shadow claw or lick... Our only chance now is Hoopa Unbound :/
Happy it was easy to get, but wish it had better moves. Cause competing in psychic with Psystrike Mewtwo is an uphill battle :( Even though it's better as a psychic type, it's the 7th best repeatable psychic-type (incl. shadows) and 3rd best (without shadows).
Unfortunately mine was trash. However, he will be perfect for feeding rare candy to in order to prepare fro Unbound. That one I will be powering up and unlocking the third move.
Well astonish is bad as a ghost but it does open the door for some event where they can give it a better move. Someone asked today is this only Hoopa we can get? As far as powering my hoopa up, with it 10 attack probably not. Time will tell

14/11/12. Totally bad IVs for PVP, and it looks like it's not that great for raids either. It's a cool looking pokemon and Pokedex entry. I can power it up 1 time to be under 1500 CP. :D
Early. Anyway I'm considering deleting mine. Why? I hate it, more than Melmetal, and I already freakishly hate Melmetal thanks to pvp. As for Hoopa, I hate it because of its movie.
It’s still cool to have a perfect of any mythical! The fact you can’t really trade farm them makes it that much more special 💜 if you like it, just use it anyway, you can always have fun with it in gyms, casual battles with friends, stuff like that :)
