Works like a dream🌼 Just for giggles I vacuumed the carpet with our old vacuum, then I vacuumed it with this new one. Grroosss!!! Half the canister was full of pet hair and dirt. So glad we got this new one. It’s a beast!!
My mom still has hers after more than a decade. It’s still going strong and she uses it every day. The only downside is how quickly it chews through belts. You notice the self propel start to taper after a few months and it can become jerky as the belt starts to slip
I’m glad that my aunt bought this vacuum, she bought the last good Hoover ever made, now it’s all Chinese crap. And my grandma was a loyal Hoover buyer for a while. She had a WindTunnel T-Series bagless back in 2012(and it was made in Mexico), and it lasted 5 years. Then it was replaced with a WindTunnel 3 High Performance Pet(made in China). Then that one only lasted 2 years before getting replaced with a Dyson Ball Animal Multifloor(made in Malaysia) ,which she still has, and hopefully it’ll last more than 15 years like my Dyson DC07. Dyson is now the only one that can make machines that can last 15+ years
You're not supposed to pick up those SP windtunnels by the handle, because it can break the self propel mechanism. Also, it's not a good idea to use one of those on hard floors, because apparently the front wheels can scratch the floors.
I've had one of these for years, and I've loved it! Sadly, our 15 year old dog decided to empty her bowels inside on a dark carpet and I accidentally ran over it. I replaced it with a Shark NV586, and I'm hoping it does as good of a job as the old Hoover did!
I wished I wanted a Self-Propelled Hoover Windtunnel. It was one of Hoover's finest vacuums ever made. Anniversary Edition or not, it's still a good vacuum.
I am more for bagless vacuum cleaners but I am kind of glad that I clicked on this review because I have allergies/asthma and I heard that bagged vacuums are perfect for asthma and allergy sufferers like me.
I just got a silver one at goodwill for $8, it works perfectly, I think it will do well in my house since I have hard floors and a rug, I also have an old green one but it has a rough sounding motor
The specs for this vacuum are very close to the non self propelled Tempo Widepath bagged upright. Nice review. I see these self propelled models in thrift stores for around $20.
@@AmericansAlwaysFree They can be difficult and clumsy to control. A lighter more nimble non self-propelled vacuum is typically preferred. I've have this one at home and had the original version of this vacuum, and it's a good one... but maneuverable it is not. That said, I use a Riccar Vibrance when cleaning an oral surgeons office on weekends that isn't self propelled. It definitely is lighter and easier to change directions with, has good pick-up, suction, and agitation.
Price also of this. I have had three of them. I moved to Az and in the move from the Midwest to here it was broken. I want another of the seame model. Please.
I have the same model but mine's slightly older with the different turbo brush with plastic cover, but it's the same vacuum, it cleans great, but it's starting to show its age, particularly in the self propelled transmission (which looking back I feel like is a pointless feature, and I would recommend the non-SP version over this, but I like how these are more feature rich than the non-SP version). And the big claim that this is not as reliable as the older Windtunnels is mainly due to when Hoover switched their manufacturing from Maytag (USA) to TTI (China), and the motor design of the TTI model is not as reliable as the Maytag model.
This is one of the farthest from sealed systems out there ! The machine leaks a significant amount of dust in the air through the light bulb area of the vacuum. until recently the HEPA filters were not equipped with a gasket. Nor were they vacuum bags. I really would recommend you investing in a particle counter to properly test this. It's about one of the only things this vacuum doesn't do that it claims to do. It's also worth noting that the sensor for the dirt finder is in the intake next to where the bag is and tends not to be accurate compared to something like the Riccar Radiance dirt finder with a sensor being in the nozzle. Great camera work clean edits love your videos.
Yeah I have been looking for a good particle counter. Im wondering what the leaking you noted near the light bulb was caused by. The method I used, while admittedly not perfect, would have at least showed a leak of significant size I think. Ill take a second look either way. Thanks!
Has anyone tested a sebo x5 for it's filtering and if it leaks? Just curious as I'm in the market and want to get a good vacuum that will last. The sebo seems like it's one of the best at getting dirt deep down but I want to make sure it keeps it inside the bag as well. Thanks for any help.
From the time my vac was new (four years ago) I could never get that attachment to stay in place. Found out just recently that apparently there's supposed to be a small plastic tab at the top of the inside of the nook, for the piece to attach to. And that tab on my vacuum was broken off. I stuck heavy-duty velcro both on the attachment nook and on the attachment itself and now the attachment stays put!!!
please tell me why the front end digs in nnd the unit will not move on carpet. I had the old model this one replaced and it did the same thiing. New belts put on. Note when ever I sould chnge bags the unit would dig in and be hard to push. No way I could push it with out the self propell off.M y unit has 3 settings for height. Is there a way to raise it higher? Thanks
I am hoping you can help me with a problem. I was cleaning the hand held power cleaner and I accidentally knocked out that spinner that propels the belt and I don't know how to put it back together!!!
Hello from Ohio. I have the blue anniversary edition and have taken good care of it over the years. One thing that it inconsistent is the Green/ Red "clean/dirty " light. I know the flat sound sensor cover inside the hose hook up needs to be cleaned but are you aware of any other steps? The reason I ask is the red light sometimes takes forever to go out even when your not rolling the unit over a dirty area. Thanks!
Can you tell me how to fix the self-propelled switch that tells me it's either on self-propelled or non self-propelled? The button won't' move all the way to the end in either direction, and sometimes not at all. If you have a fix, can you tell me what the part number is as well if it can be fixed? Thank you for any help you can offer.
I don't know if this will help or not...but I moved the handle up and down on mine until I was able to find a spot where it would allow me to move the self propel switch.
