I was holding off on switching from my V11 to this Hoover and I have to say I’m loving the change. I love cordless and bagged so this is a double win for me! I was skeptical at first because I mostly have hardwood but it hasn’t been an issue. The bright bank of lights is so helpful when vacuuming. Honestly love this
I absolutely love mine. We have about a 75% carpet home. We like carpet for comfort and warmth. We live in a cold climate and we will generally replace our carpet about every 6 to 8 years. Great machine love the ease of use.
This product is ostensibly an Oreck- and at one point they actually sold an Oreck version of this product, but it has (apparently) since been discontinued. This product was actually designed as an Oreck, and if you are looking for a corded upright vacuum that is basically the same as this, look for one of their products.
@@richardsvacuumcenter Yeah, it’s a damn shame. You can tell TTI is slowly killing off the Oreck product line in favor of Hoover. Oh well. It’s just the way the cookie crumbles, doesn’t it
Thanks for the review! I just ordered 2 of them on sale $199 on Amazon. One thing that helps get tangled hair or string out of a roller. There is a grove that runs the entire lenghth on the roller. I take a razor blade/utility knife and run it along that grove and it releases all tangled hair and string with ease. 👍
Thanks for this review, I was excited to see the performance data from your tests. We have owned this vacuum for a few months now and agree with everything from your review… we even have a rug where it is easy to push one direction but difficult the other way like you said! But overall, great vacuum with no filters to clean every week. Would definitely choose this over our old tineco a11.
I would look at the underside of your rugs. I have a couple in my house that are completely rubber and no holes, so when you have decent suction, the air can't pass through making it difficult to move. That may be why you're having issues on some rugs and not others.
Nice. For someone who needs a 'carpet first' vacuum. I'm glad that would not be me. I don't find stick vacuums fatiguing at all, but I do not vacuum the same room 20 times in a row :-).
Really interesting! I bought a Shark NV8-something at your recommendation a while back and loved it, then upgraded to the Vertex when that one was mistakenly treated like a wet vac ☺️ . Came across this video searching for a lower-budget vacuum I could keep upstairs to quickly tidy up without going across the house for the big corded vacuum. Might just pick this one up!
If there's one little cordless vacuum I'd love this channel to review it'd be that weird Regina cordless vacuum. It has the canister down on the floor and looks so funny to me.
This would be a great vac for someone with wall to wall carpet however the service from Hoover is declining so it's worth considering the Riccar cordless depending on the cost difference if after the sale service is important to you! :)
All vacuums need a crevice tool hose and fitting , if you just clean carpets you need to do the edges of fitted carpets with a hose and crevice tool. I have never yet found a vacuum that can do fitted carpet edges without one well enough.
you should do a review on three hoover light weight commercials the perfect home the soft bag an the hard bag units i like them because you can still by them but in the commercial series only
Excellent review! Please review the new Dreame Bot Z10, it's a high suction powered self empty robot vacuum and it's under 400 USD. Very interesting, seems to use the tried and true roborock undersides. Interested in your take!
Hey Vac Wars! I would love it if you could review some of the power tool stick vacuums like Ryobi. They have interchangeable batteries which I know could be a really plus! But I’m not sure if they are any good. Thanks!
Would you ever test a bobsweep robot vacuum. I have heard that they have great customer service. I would like to see how it stacks up to the competition through your tests.
As a couple of other commenters have said - it's an Oreck! That bag dock is 100% Oreck and just really jumped out at me. Did Hoover buy the design or (god forbid) are Oreck and Hoover USA now owned by the same parent company?
@@corrodesthefilm That's kinda what I was thinking. I knew Oreck was for sale recently and had hoped that TTI hadn't bought them. But it looks like they have :(
@@TheVintageApplianceEmporium I will say at least in the case of this particular machine it is a very good product. I would not pay full MSRP for one, but with a sale on Hoover's site plus a coupon code I got mine at just about $200 and it's impressed me in every way. My only gripe is battery life - it comes with two batteries which mitigates it a little bit but especially on high the motor draws a lot of power and it will run the battery down fast.
I have this machine and love it! I find I use it much more regularly than any other machine in my collection. In my testing, I did find the airflow at the head (on high speed) was actually 64.44 CFM and 53.88 CFM on low speed. I’ll have a video posted on my channel featuring my tests on this machine soon. Maybe a good idea to check if your airflow box is sealed properly? Other than that, a fantastic video as usual!
Im saving up to get a propper vacuum, my current one is a cheap knockoff brand vacuum. my first initilal pick was going to be a Dyson Multiball 2 but after seeing your video about the hepa filta I am currently going for the Shark NV801, wanted to go for the Vertex but as far as I can see it doesn't get sold in Australia, in fact I find that the choice of vacuums are limited. that is though based off what I have researched. Even after getting a vacuum I do find myself enjoying these videos. Sorry for the long comment.
I will never own a vacuum anymore unless it uses a HEPA bag..... I mean, even if the vacuum itself isn't the greatest at filtration....if there are HEPA bags available for it.... it will drastically make a difference. Hardly anything escapes those HEPA bags.
@@VacuumWars yeah bc that scrubber im thinking about getting and i wanted to make sure it was a good scrubber and i know u do really good reviews on vacuums and stuff
Always enjoy your thorough tests! I don't know if I didn't catch this or not, but what type of belt drive does it use? Is it a rubber stretch belt like the traditional oreck belt or is it a long life poly v belt?
G’day buddy, Just a kind request, would you please drop a separate review on Electrolux Pure Q9 cordless Vacuum and their base models. If so that would be highly appreciated. Cheers Walid
just got a pre-order for the Tineco S5 Series, is there a way to do a pre-order assessment and then a real-time assessment? We don't buy a Vacuum without your approval!
Did you have the issue of the brush hitting the two small metal under the brush rolls where it makes this loud annoying sound? I watched some videos and they said they had an issue with it.
when you tested carpet cleaners, did that bissle pet pro ever leave grey/black lines on the carpet? i just got one and it leaves these dark smudges EVERYWHERE!!!
Can you do a review on the Raycop Omni Air UV+ and the Omni Power UV+? I think that would be a really relevant review with the new spike in COVID 19 cases and the Delta Variant!
absurd that Dyson or gun style vacuums cost more than this. Like Tineco S3, has huge batteries. Dyson could have easily taken their uprights and convert them to cordless
I just installed hard surface in over half my house. What would be a hard surface vac comparable to this? I like the dyson but would like a bagged setup. Just personal preference. Thanks
Strange that Hoover started in the UK, hence why we still call ALL vacuum cleaners "hoovers"... and yet, the brand has died here, replaced completely by dyson, gtech, and shark
Is there a reason most of your recommended vacuums are Shark? Is it due to sponsorship? Seems like a lot of vacuum enthusiasts stay away from Shark, but you recommend them so just trying to understand.
I'm not sponsored. I tried something like that some time ago and have decided not to go that way. I think I try to keep things varied - this is a Hoover review, right? 😉
If it counts for anything, I've found his reviews to be really trustworthy. I think a lot of the Shark concerns are about maintenance/repair/durability issues, and I can see that being a concern for industrial use, but my last one lasted for years and only went out after someone treated it like a wet vac ☺️, then I upgraded to a Vertex. The duoclean really is as great as they say it is.
$300 bucks. To steep for a one use vacuum. Questionable for delicate floors because the brush won't turn off. No hose, tools or any above floor cleaning. Super expensive bags. You will still need another vacuum for everything else. No thanks.
I has seen a lot of posts about this vacuum being hard to push on taller carpet. I have the same problem and I think I have a fix. On the bottom of the vacuum there are multiple posts that feel rubberized. I put making tape over most of those areas and now it is dramatically easier to push. There are more areas that i could have tapped but what i did was sufficient. Also the wiper could be tapped over if your not worried about hard floors. I posted a pic over on reddit sub vacuumcleaners
