That power-nozzle is something else! So fancy with a light on it! Hoover seemed to make much fancier and more technologically advanced machines for the USA market than they did for the UK market.
As soon as I saw the video still image childhood memories came flooding back. I remember oohing and ahhing over these in Montgomery Ward and in the JCPenney catalog. I'm so sad it didn't survive it's journey. That green and khaki color scheme is beautiful.
Not sure if you noticed Roger, you probably have by now, but there is also a crack on the bag door, around where the hose goes in, which is apparent at 10:50.
Seen many of these in my younger days here in America. I don’t know if you’re still working on this vacuum but if you Ever need parts of any kind I can send some to you. I will check my parts if I have one I feel like I do I’ll double check on the color and comment on one of your recent videos if I do have a part
If it makes you feel any better Roger, you wouldn't be able to get parts for that machine even if you were in the US. Most parts have probably been gone for about 10 or so year.
I'm in the US, I've looked at all my vac suppliers sites. Unfortunately the top you need is unavailable on every site I've looked at. Such a shame, it was a very nice vacuum.
Interesting side note I have a dimension 1000 and love it although she needs a good scrubbing, the machine however doesn't look as if it's ever been used.
I have a PowerMAX Supreme. Parts are damn near impossible to find. Mine has the bag collar missing and I’m still trying to find one. But I do like the machine.
Maybe you should try an American Shark Vacuum. I live in the USA and I own 2 Shark Vacuums. I own an Ion P50 and Rotator Powered Lift Away Speed With Duo Clean.

Roger You don't have much luck You buy a meila kaboom 💥 it explodes Then you buy a Hoover future and it has a Massive hole in it next. Honestly roger you are brave I wouldn't ha e been brave enough to turn it on in case it went boom 💥 what's next the vacuum burns down you home. The vacuum is obliterated I love you vids keep up the good work roger
And I thought that’s alright - a fake cord-rewind button doesn’t do anything, but oh..... the shape of the power button and what would have been the cord rewind button are hooked and the c.r button can be rotated so.... the cord to be wrapped around them ☹️
What a pity - feeling soory for you. Just take th eloss and go on. Don't waste your nerves. I have bought a 70s Electrolux from the US; spending appr. 230 EUR including import charges. The motor is blown. The seller didn't even answer. And Iwas asking for a refund of just THIRTY dollars. Ebay and paypal won't care.
now I see on rest of video that vacuum is broken 😟 and I really sorry and do not understand why Americans pack electric appliances in simple paper ?! In my country it is by default obligation if you send some electrical or domestic appliance to cover all sides with Styrofoam which prevent to happened damage like this
We used to have a dyson dc07 but we got rid of it wish i would have kept it it wouldent pick up i bet all it wanted was a new belt we have a vax now thats nice
Really? My mother bought one in the 1990s and used it for years. She passed away 5 years ago and I keep it in the basement for quick cleanups. I love how I can hold the canister in one hand and reach up to vaccuum all the cobwebs in my rafters with the other. My upright doesn't reach and lifts off the floor when I try. Plus it's very light for such an old vaccuum.
