@VacTech1

@@--RSL-- yes, on carpet mode (high speed) with the included batteries, each battery ran for about 15 mins. Larger 6.0 battery packs are available, which would increase runtime.

I bought one sold as new that I suspect was used. There was too much debris, hair, and scratching for it just to be tested before shipping, but it was so wonderful for someone with arthritis that I kept it. One thing I did not see covered on your excellent video is how to take apart the vacuum tube to check for clogs. This happens with almost any vacuum in time. I can see(barely) that there are instructions on the tube for taking it apart, but sometimes it’s just way easier to understand when someone demonstrates than trying to read it on a vacuum tube. Would it be possible to post this? If not a video, step by step instructions for taking it apart and putting it back together, please? I really think this is the problem with mine as it seems to constantly have lots of loose debris in the head. Thanks for considering this tutorial.

I just ordered this vacuum so I’m just patiently waiting for the arrival. I did receive the Shark duo cordless for Christmas and will be doing a side by side test with the two vacuums. Have you had the chance to give the Shark duo cordless a try and if so what are your thoughts?

I bought one of these just before Christmas and I'm so glad I did. I was intrigued by the idea of a cordless but so many of them are bagless which is not my.....bag. This one is so simple and lightweight, it's really a joy to use and I sure don't miss the cord, just grab it and go! I had initially planned to use it for daily upkeep in the kitchen and dining area, but it has become my go to for floors and (in my case) area rugs, whose nap it has really revived. Having two separate machines has always been my preference, so I like the simplicity of it and that it does what it does well with no "hangers on". Particularly with the two batteries and that wonderful LED headlight it's an excellent value. I actually came across your introductory video when I was trying to find a video of one running before purchase. I am averse to loud cleaners so I was very happy this one is quiet in addition to its other virtues. In fact, I also would not have guessed as many decibels as what your meter said.

@@VacTech1 I use mine for quick pick ups. Not heavily used as I have not yet changed the bag and one battery failed a few months ago and now looks like the other one is. Hoover replaced the first battery. Have you had any battery issues? The light on the charger unit is flashing and only two of the four leds on the battery every other one lights.

@VacTech1
@VacTech1 Год назад
Local vac shops that are TTI/Hoover/Oreck dealers will have access to the handle. Wish the main handles were stronger, as I’ve seen the Oreck Elevate handles break too (this machine’s corded sibling). The handle could very well be covered under the vacuum’s warranty. Using the carrying handle on the back will prevent the issue from happening again. Hope you’re able to get yours repaired!

@@VacTech1 I could have sworn I saw some literature on the power numbers for the onepwr when it was first released, but I can’t find anything on it at the moment. The commercial hvrpwr also uses just watt hours, which isn’t super helpful. I am wondering if I am getting another vac confused with it now since I can’t find any numbers on the onepwr and it’s a residential cleaner where it’s less common to publish actual power numbers. At the end of the day though I will need to make multiple passes everywhere to get the fur, so the larger battery will be a huge benefit. Though from what I’m finding currently, it does just look to be a larger battery to accommodate for the raw square footage being vacuumed in a commercial setting.
@VacTech1
@VacTech1 3 года назад
@@nicko5945 Ah, ok! Hoover was kind of vague with the numbers on this home model too. I wanted to test the battery life, because I couldn't find runtime numbers on their site when I was researching it. Sounds like with two German Shepherds you deal with a lot of pet hair!
@nicko5945
@nicko5945 3 года назад
@@VacTech1 yeah they certainly don’t seem to be very forthcoming with information. When I think of it I vaguely remember hearing more info on power from a video of a trade show. I’ll see if I can find that video tomorrow. Yes, German Shepherds shed 24/7/365 and very few vacs can handle the amount. Even something like my 1200$ Miele Marin is unusable as a daily vacuum because the SEB236 head pulls quite a bit of the fur into the housing via the belt. So it needs to be disassembled every 3-4 uses to vacuum the housing out. So will this vac be a daily driver for you, or just a quick pickup machine do you think?
@scottonasch8819
@scottonasch8819 3 года назад
I watched a video of a woman at a trade show talking about the commercial ones of these, they seemed pretty impressive. Apparently this company also owns some of the power tool brands so I imagine we'd see the best in battery technology because of that. The demonstrator worked for Hoover and had done tests with real people that clean buildings and the results were impressive. I'm sure this would have to be convenient in a setting like that. One analogy she used is that we apparently have a whole generation of construction people, etc now that have never used tools that plug into a wall, so why not for cleaning too.

How do you know when to change the bag? I just got mine and love it so far. I see there’s a line halfway up the bag that says it’s not supposed to go past that line, but you can’t see through the bag.
@VacTech1
@VacTech1 3 года назад
You just have to feel and check how much dirt is in the bag occasionally. They hold a TON of dirt, and can be filled up probably even more than the bag full line (they can probably be filled to just under the dock that connects the bag to the vacuum). I either change a bag when it's very full, or when the vacuum starts to smell. The nice thing is you put a new bag in, and it's a completely fresh start. I hope you like the Hoover!

This is gonna sound dumb but have you had an issue with smell or dust. Just got mine in and I have 2 theories: somehow I'm leaking dust or it's agitating my carpet to a degree that dust is going into the air. My carpet is older. Every time I vacuum with my old vacuum I've never had a smell but it doesn't have the agitation that this one has. Could I have messed it up? Edit also there are clips for cable management added to mine that I noticed some of y'all reviewers don't have this. imgur.com/gallery/qExQhGt Edit: Also no smell on hard floors so I know it's not coming from the bag.
@VacTech1
@VacTech1 3 года назад
So I looked at your pics. The vacuum is kicking up that dust behind it as it cleans. This is a common thing on Orecks. I would simply wipe it down occasionally. As for any smells, every time you change a bag, that'll take care of that, as you'll throw away all the dust. Hope this helps!
