I agree. these were very good despite having their flaws, they are near high end machine level in performance, reliability and parts availability. these can last a really long time. they are like the old late 90s early 2000s Chevrolet Tahoes and suburbans they are large they are a beast but they last for ever!
I have 2 of these, one is an early model with the old style turbo tool with translucent cover, and also a later version like this with the T series turbo tool. I did put a Maytag motor into the later one, and it really makes a difference in terms of sound, in all truth, the 3 motors perform no different between each other, and yes, there was a 3rd motor design put into these OG Windtunnels, they were made by Ningbo and they look like the Chinese knockoffs of the Maytag motor and produce a bit of a whistle when they're running, whereas the first motor design that came out following the TTI ownership was actually made by Ametek of Shanghai and those really have an annoying screech when they're running, which is sadly just by design. I would like to find a very early Anniversary SP with the chrome trim and matching chrome wheels, and maybe modify that screecher motor with some sound deadening around the motor to see if it pipes it down a touch.
