literally sobbing... as an og viewer of tvd from season 1. watching Hopes story arc over the 3 shows and the decades (yes including tvd and her dads story) it breaks me. Seeing everything Hope has gone through is such a unique fictional experience and this video summed it all up so well. So many feels.
I am so happy to read this comment! That's exactly my relationship with Hope, in fact, I think I am so attracted to her character bc of the uniqueness of the fictional experience of watching her be created and grow up and everything she went through. That's exactly what I wanted to portray, and I'm glad you managed to see it in my video!
It must have meant the world to Klaus to hear someone Hope say that she didn't want him to die.. All his life all around him people wanted to kill him but she had pure, innocent, love for him. This made me cry so much.
Her journey is heartbreaking all her parents wanted for her was peace and happiness she deserves the world but Destiny disagrees she was going through a lot of heartbreaks pain and everything it is not fair but eventually she understands how her existence affected her parents' life and what she meant to them and accepted the pain that comes with living she made peace with it, and knows that her parents aren't disappointed by her
You put it perfectly. Even with all the problems that Legacies had as a show, her character was still very powerful. Her journey was both heartbreaking and beautiful, and the fact that we got to see how wanted and loved she was by her parents makes watching her go through it all even harder.
I love this so much. I started rewatching the originals for the 100th time and I’m almost on season 4. Hopes life has always been a challenge. But she has become so strong.
The fact everyone overlooks what Hope went through and what she grew up wanting and that was to have some sort of normal childhood with her family that couldn’t die
I love Hope Mikaelson sense the first season of Five The Originals and the four series of Legacies.She’s survivor,heroine. I love her storylines & journeys as person.
You could see that she loved her mother the most and before she had to kill landon that she also loved him . It's just sad that everyone she loved died it's just so unfair ps I'm still listening to this and happy and sad , crying now😢😢😢😩
It's not really about Landon, it's about the fact that Hope had to sacrifice things and people she loved since she was little, and his death is a manifestation of that as well. Whether or not we like the character (Landon) doesn't change the fact that having to kill him had an impact on her (one more person she had to sacrifice for the greater good). I personally didn't like a lot of things about the way Legacies handled that relationship (especially the part in which they reduced her character's storyline to just him, when she is so much more), and I'm not a Handon shipper at all, but working with canon also means accepting that his death was smth impactful for her. The way I see it, her turning it off wasn't about him and only him per se, but about not being able to handle the grief she had been carrying for so long. Sacrificing one more person (and having to actually kill them herself, when she already felt responsible for the death of her parents) was the last straw. I actually work this through in one of my fanfiction pieces (mostly bc I wasn't satisfied with how it was handled on screen), if you're interested 😉 In the end I overexplained hahaha but I hope it's clear
