Hope Amelia Solo (born July 30, 1981) is an American former soccer goalkeeper. She was a goalkeeper for the United States women's national soccer team from 2000 to 2016, and is a World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist.
Solo is regarded as one of the top female goalkeepers in the world and currently holds the U.S. record for most career clean sheets. (Correct as of Mar 2020).

I just found out that the USWNT have yet to get equal pay. I find this patently ridiculous; if there was ever a sport where women should be paid more than their male counterparts, it is this sport. The USWNT wins Gold medals and World Cups while generating more revenue than the men. I could not name one person on the USMNT squad; I wouldn't be able to pick a USMNT player out of lineup.

Men soccer is massively more competitive than Womens soccer. Remember, they lost to a u15 boys team. They lack talent, therefore not entertaining to watch, which explains the lack of money they bring in .

Rockstar goalkeeper. Complete narcissist off the field though. I remember when she was on GMA before her domestic battery court appearance and Robin Roberts asked her about it. She called it a ‘Total victory as the truth came out.’ Mind you the court appearance HAD NOT HAPPENED YET. I remember thinking, either she has a time machine or she’s fucking insane. Or both.

Some people hate on Hope for her off the field drunkenness.... But, honestly, most of us probably have been similarly drunk more than once... Regardless... I would have LOVED to see Solo beat the living eff out of rapino.. Lord knows Solo is an amazing athlete.. It would probably take 10 rapinos to even get Hope down...

Your point is absolutely valid.. I was thinking about the person and not the potential "body count" that could have easily come right behind her actions.. Anyone who drives drunk or intoxicated by any other substance should not be "in control" (uh huh) of children who have no control.. Again.. I mean this.. Thanks for your comment and rattling my overall thought process just a bit when it comes to the things that matter far more than any version of ideology.
