absolute disgrace that insurance companies are calling this a write off, that's why insurance premiums are going up crazy. Someone should call a halt to these insane write off's. I know that would not be good news for you Phil but you must admit this was a easy fix, even for you and minimal damage.
The annoying thing about insurance claims, the assesers are to quick on writing vehicles off,in 2020 my Skoda Octavia was written off,not economical for repair, wasn't happy, complained to my insurers, they then sent an independent asseser and he deemed the car repairable, and informed my insurance company of his finding, they then authorised my car to go for repair at a local garage.still using the car today.
I like the Škoda Fabia colour edition, it looks great in corrida red, with black magic metallic roof wheels, and mirror caps. Great video, as always Phil❤.
My 13 Yr old Zafira was being written off because of it's age, crazy as its it's worth more to me as a car. I told them to stick it, bought a rear lens for £35, half hour with a polishing cloth......job done. They need to start questioning these companies about the way they do business.
My wife has one of these, a 20-plate Acenta, in the same colour (though without the orange bits) and manual. No nav nor rear parking sensors, but comes with a radar braking system. They're a 3-cylinder as you say, 999cc, 100hp in this case. As usual, the auto uses more fuel and is a bit slower than its manual equivalent. She's very happy with hers.
that's what counts for a cat s? - whole insurance industry is designed to cost the other party as much as possible, then we all end up paying the price
You should state the prices on the video for the cars, that way people will know if the cars in their budget or not, rather than sending you lots of emails, great video Phil.
A customer of mine has had a bump in his car , insurance quote over 8k for a wing and bumper with trims , and a wheel , was going to write tge car off ,customer said take the wheel off the claim and now his car being repaired , crazy , i could fix it for less than 3k using genuine parts , but his car is down south , mad
Makes me wonder if the insurance assessor actually came out and looked at that car or looked at photographs of it on their laptop in the comfort of their own home.
Nice wee motor , but I get the insurance thing they are waiting so long on new parts and the time to get the cars into body shops that cost must be getting factored into why they write the cars off . Perhaps even giving out hire cars to the customers for 12-15 weeks was the last I heard so thats not cheap . Your gain anyway nice looking wee auto .
Hi. Just a question about boost pack.. how long do the pack hold its charge for. ? 1 week? Etc . As only need when battery flat so just in case needed . Keep in boot
I've got a lithium power pack/jump starter, I keep it in the boot, it holds its power from several months, I charge it twice a year on average, if that's any help.
