WOW....that is Soo cool....your so blessed.....thank you for sharing that and for your family for being in the video.....the biggest thing I got from the video was the last who was talking about how she was thinking about her grandmother I think anyways and so yeah she started quilting....maybe with this pandemic going on more people can return to this kind of lifestyle....I know I seek it myself...thanks for sharing again 🤠👌🌽💯😉
They quilt the same way I was taught. We would put an old blanket as batting. Make the back a little bigger than the front. Then tie quilt it together. Fold the backing over the front to make a binding. I still make quilts this way and give them to disadvantaged, homeless, and others. I also crochet for the same people. And also for my family members.
I collect old embroidery pieces, I plan to make a quilt out of my collection, I just think of all the energy and time women have spent over the centuries making these and am in such awe. Much respect and admiration.
Very interesting. When our son was born my husband was working with a man married to a Hopi lady. She made a quilt for our son which I still have. Unfortunately I never met the lady but have always loved the little quilt and taken very good care of it.
This is beautiful to see the Hopi Indians quilting together... Family and friends getting together is a lost art.....God Bless you all. This is an interesting film....thank you. Lou
Americans resent that term. Did you know that? It is our country too. We are also "native" as we were born here. Ppl were here before you. God didn't make you exclusively for this land. That said, I love your quilts and very much enjoyed the video. We would love to have some designs we could use to make quilts/embroideries for our homes too. Where can we purchase some desigms?
