Hopper view of co-collect(dual stream recycle) trash route. The beginning of this route was a mix of Trash and Single Stream Recycle. Included at the end of this video is the dumping of that Single Stream at one of the company's transfer stations. That gets loaded on a 100yd tractor trailer and gets shipped down to the MRF also owned by the company.
There is technically a part 2 of this video, it will show the rest of the route picking up only trash in the chamber that was just emptied, you can see that video in a few days or search my channel for (A36)
TRUCK: 2020 MACK LR6 LABRIE AUTOMIZER SPLIT 60/40 37yd
AREA: Town of Shirley, MA
DATE: 9/14/2021
CAMERA: GoPro Hero 8 Black
**Note**
This being a Side Loading split body truck, there is often some material that spills into the other compartment. This is known both in the industry, and in the manufacturers circles. At this point in time.. nothing will be done about it so please don't flood the comments with "OMG THERE'S RECYCLE GOING IN THE TRASH" At the end of the day, it's less than a 96 gallon cart which makes it less than 1% of the entire load.
There is no system that is 100% perfect, even those trucks that are single body, have some degree of contamination due to the fact that people in the US are terrible at recycling.
This video is for entertainment only and should only be used for your enjoyment. It's only trash.
