Think about this..two goofball Canadian teenagers started a band ( and with the addition of arguably the smartest most professional lyricist/percussionists in the world ) that changed music and thereby enriched the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the planet. However the three of them never forgot who they were and where they came from. Seeing Alex and Geddy doing fun things together brings a smile to all of our sad faces..and we desperately need that these days. Thank you for the smiles 😃
@@daveclemens3134 I guess it could be argued that those two Canadian boys have all the faults and short comings the rest of us do, but for the most part, in my opinion, they have demonstrated very good behaviour and work ethic that has set the bar for many Canadians and fans around the world. And now they're making beer eh!
@@Lerxstification Short on reality I see and what socialism means. Typical 'merican. Lerxst would be really disappointed in you, you are short on facts. The Canadian boarder is open to vaccinated Americans. Also Rush supports liberal governments. Look up Neil Peart election. He even supports the libs as to stump for them. Rush are Liberal supporters always have been, as liberal policies helped them spread Canadian music around the world. From Trudeau's dad none the less. So kindly take off.
@@HeviNova So much of what you say is just plain not true. In addition you should check your spelling. In any case to say that liberal policies expanded the reach of music into less free societies is beyond laughable. Do you think Ronald Reagan was a liberal? Do you think that Jimmy Carter helped bring down the Soviet union and spread western music into oppressed countries worldwide LOL. What do you think the rush song called heresy is all about?
I don’t care if they make music together again if they aren’t interested, it’s understandable. But they really should have some sort of weekly podcast together. It would be the podcast of all podcasts. Not only can it be about music, but they are capable of talking about a lot of things and making it entertaining as all hell with the intelligence and humor they possess. These two together are gold I tell ya!
As much as id love to see they preform again, I also this think, one way or another these 2 should find there way back to the limelight :)! Even if its just small funny videos like this xD. A podcast or maybe a youtube talk show, with Alex and Geddy as the hosts. They could bring in other rock icons/rising stars :)!
Two legends, just missing Neil, still hurts we won't see these guys all laughing and joking together, the ultimate best mates in a band , wish i could get some of their beer
Totally agree. People don’t realize how funny these guys are. They are best friends for life. Geddy and Alex invented the term “BFF” imo. They could write a book on friendship.
@@macmasks I think it will be available in the US via online ordering. If there’s not a link under the video, check their website. I found out about it from an email newsletter.
@@patriciameyer7401 and I think that’s why he would be chuckling hard lol But I believe Alex and Geddy wrote the lyrics to Cinderella Man, a song I love.
@@leapednote7174 My fav's are unusual choices. Chemistry has always been my favorite, followed very closely by Prime Mover. Not tops on a lot of Rush fans' lists, but those two always resonated with me.
Check out the one where they all 3 go out fine-dining. Ged starts the wine list like they're out tasting in Calistoga CA. By the end of the piece, they're all ripped and Neil is giggling at everything like he just discovered what funny meant. Classic meeting between lifelong buddies. It brings tears to my eyes every time now that Neil is gone. I basically stopped listening to music. The best band EVER is a thing of the past. I'm heartbroken, but they left us with body of work like no other composers ever have, or will.
Love these guys. Happy to see them laughing and joking again. 2/3rds of the best rock trio ever. If they make music again, great. If they dont, great. Thanks for so many great memories guys.
Hey old men, enjoy your beverage the way I enjoyed your music, and I have covered a few tunes over the decades. Thanks for ... just being who you are and we have enjoyed it. Cheers!
I only wish Neil was here to be part of this but it's awesome to see Ged and Alex having a good time. Also as a beer drinker I can't wait to try the new brew. Rush + Beer = No Brainer for me. Cheers and R.I.P Neil.
Omg i love Rush! They still are my favorite band since i can remember hearing fly by night when i was 4 and of course my favorite "Free Will" and im not even from the good ol days but they were the best probably compared to today. Rush is a huge influence always have them in my headphones or on the radio blasting stilI do it helps me when i skate and they are just awesome in general. I have the same birthday as Neil did except i was born in 1991. R.i.p. Neil Peart. 😢 Love you guys
I know right. How this recieved 20 down votes is beyond me. I guess tone deaf trolls will troll. It's sacraligist to think anyone could actually dislike them.
Love seeing you guys back doing that silliness that only you can! Thank you for all these years of great music! I only wish Neil were still here and helping you select beer. RIP Professor! Please tell us that the beer you selected will be available in the States!
As long as they promote it enough so it can be bought in other states or countries it's should sell ! The Metal band Iron Maiden developed their own beer some years ago that's sold all over including the US which I have bought everything they have made to try and it's not bad at all but spendy compared to local WI breweries like Leinenkugals that is my main stay of beers most of the times but it's totally worth it to try something made by bands that delved into making beer or other spirits to try .
No, no he's not. He has ceased to exist, just as he believed*. Stop imposing your beliefs onto him, he'd hate that. It's as offensive as a nonbeliever telling someone that their loved one has ceased to exist if they believe they haven't and are still "somewhere" (something I have never done, and would never do). *Here some will quibble that he was an "agnostic", not outright nonbeliever/atheist. Well, Neil was a better musician than philosopher/thinker (just as the person who came up with the term "agnostic", Thomas Huxley, was a better evolutionary biologist than philosopher/logician): there is no such thing as an agnostic: you either believe in a deity/theism/the supranatural (belief, theism) or you don't (disbelief, atheism). This really is a binary choice per philosophy of religion (no matter how many non-philosophers/non-academic amateurs will employ sophistic linguistic tricks to argue otherwise). To be very technical, there are 4 positions as to belief/nonbelief here: on the atheist side there is "gnostic atheism" which means you don't believe in a deity and claim to know for sure there is none. Then there is agnostic atheism (which represents the vast majority of nonbelievers) which means that you don't believe in a deity (thus, nonbelief) but you don't claim to know for sure. On the theistic side there is the "gnostic theist" which means you believe in a deity and claim to know for sure that it/a deity exists (many theists/believers purport to be this, but if they are honest they admit, at least to themselves, that they still have faith in place of solid conviction/knowledge; and of course faith is not knowledge) and there is the "agnostic theist" which means you believe in a deity, but don't claim to know for sure (most theists/believers, again, whether they admit it or not). As we can see, all 4 positions fall on two sides: those that have belief (believers/theists) and those who do not (nonbelievers/atheists). That's why this is truly a binary choice, even if there are other positions one on either side can take (such as fideism); I myself, for example, am a "non-cognivist nonbeliever/atheist". That means that I don't even accept that the idea or concept of a deity (or the supranatural in general) is a coherent one since no one, not even the "best" religious minds, can define it in coherent terms and with non-contradictory attributes/properties; 'tis nothing but an airy nothing as indefinable as a round square, and what can not even be coherently conceived of can not strictly be believed in...or disbelieved. So, unlike a unicorn which I can conceive of coherently and solidly disbelieve in, I reject even the non-idea of a deity/supranatural as incoherent gibberish that really makes no sense to take a position of disbelief/belief on. However, because that also means that strictly I am without belief in such pseudo-notions, then I am an atheist in the literal sense of "a" (without) and "theism" (per the etymology of the word): without belief in a deity. In general I am also a asupranaturalist as I also do not hold belief in the supranatural in toto (because it is also entirely made of up of incoherent pseudo-notions/ideas). But no one knows what that really means, so I typically simply state that I'm "nonreligious" as a broad or general position...at least when engaging with the larger public rather than philosophers.
you two really need to rent / buy an RV and tour Canada as tourists and film the adventure. go coast to coast with no schedule and eat the food , meet the people, and see Canada like you've never seen it before. crash a wedding or two, randomly show up at a family reunion, join a saturday afternoon jam at a bar in a small town, wander through a farmer's market, play some golf, spend a day at a summer hockey school, or anything that suits you that day. i for one would be glued to the screen watching a series with the two of you.
When all fails (during covid) make beer. GENIUS. Miss the smiles. So great to see you both having laughs again. GED are slurring your words ? What a riot ! Really cool I wish I could drink it now.
What you own is your own kingdom What you do is your own glory What you love is your own power What you drink is hergee de flur gehs (Love you guys. Thank you for the music, and your kindness in my previous architecture-dancing life. Regards to Gump!)
Now they should convince Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas to bring Bob and Doug back and do a special promo vid for their beer. "Ten bucks is ten bucks...."
I just don't understand it. It's one of those Cosmic paradoxes. How is it that these 2 goofballs are 2 of the absolutely coolest guys in Rock and Roll? Help me Landrew!
Geddy looks giddy from all that beer sampling. I have loved RUSH from the time I got their debut album as a giveaway at a school carnival. It was a promotional copy, with the corner cut off. I couldn’t believe what I heard, and still go back and revisit that classic. I’m looking forward to trying this ale.
It's Ceiling Unlimited with these guys! I laughed so hard I was Losing It! I Hope In The End these Natural Science experiments lead to a tasty brew! I'm going to Roll The Bones when this is available and grab a case!🍺
I'm gonna Cut To The Chase here - you should be careful. I hear there's a Witch Hunt on for guys making these kinds of pun-laden comments. Probably a pathetic attempt to cause Subdvisions within the fan base. You know How It Is. But I reckon The Big Money's on the fans drawing together and exercising their Freewill to get back to The Main Monkey Business of simply enjoying the music, whatever their Circumstances. We can learn many Lessons from these guys. If we all just Stick It Out and Face Up to the fact that we're all fans for the same reason, that we all love Rush and appreciate the years of pleasure their music has given us, I reckon we can can thwart the Grand Designs of The Enemy Within! Maybe I'm just spewing Bravado here. But I have a dream of a Peacable Kingdom. And if we all just Resist the temptation to engage in petty in-fighting, if We Hold On, I believe we'll all live to behold this Sweet Miracle. You Bet Your Life!
