I bought the first game after watching Jingles play through and actually finished. Now I'm 73 the reflexes and eyes not quite so sharp, I'll relive my glory days watching Jingles.👍

At this rate, this vid series is gona take Jingles at least 200 episodes :D

Funnily enough, in your last video where you mentioned the Nora tribes, oddity, with races. When I first played Zero Dawn it was the first thing I noticed when they mentioned the time frame and who they were. I was like "Wait, its been how long and they're still what?".

Jingles, I like the idea of numbering your episodes for a long series like this. It help to keep everything in order if we can't keep up to date.

At 27:43 you can see Varl's brain short out....lol At 30:20 I thought my wife was going to pass out from laughing....apparently she thinks that it's hilarious when she hears Jingles swearing. I dunno....I got nuthin...

I'm so glad you're finally playing this. I broke down back when it was still a PlayStation exclusive and watched a story summary, and fuck me the story is good. No spoilers of course, but I am *very* excited to see your reaction to a lot of this game!

There should have been a third presentation for the people who were ACTUALLY GOING. Billionaires aren't the fastest, not the strongest, they're usually not even the smartest. They wouldn't be sent to save humanity, as they're helpless without the thousands who actually do the work for them. I'm not sure what they think their billions in US backed securities would be worth on Sirius, I guess they wouldn't run out of toilet paper.

I think Varl does a really good job at understanding everything, considering he had primitive tribal beleifs just yesterday, and now his knowledge is being expanded so much with so many crazy concepts. Imagine trying to explain the internet, computers, space travel, and smartphones to a Roman, or even a medieval farmer 😂

Overlord, thank you for giving us simple peasants this playtrough of Horizon, Ive played this game, and loved it. But i realy appreciate the story explanation you give while playing this.

It's the fine tradition of tech bro Silicon Valley. 1. If you can make it, make it quick and break rules, because it's always better to beg forgiveness and pay the cost of doing business, I mean fines and damages you can reduce on appeal, than to ask permission. 2. If you can't make it, buy out everyone who can make it. (See also: Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook...) 3. If no one is selling, hack them or compromise someone to bring a copy. Finally you are playing an game and not just commentating, I love your old gameplay like Assassin Creed, FarCry , Breathedge, etc..- thanks

One thing about this game vs. the old one, it uses resources that must be shot off the machines first. If you kill the machine, the resources may not be available. So, on the scroungers, you may eventually have to knock off the "yellow" weak spots for additional resources. Also, if you want to save a bit of time, you can turn off the animation of collecting the items. Press E and they will just go into inventory without Aloy bending down to pick them up.

I'm often reminded of my absolute favorite qoute from any video game ever when I see those shitty walls the Oseram build. "This flimsy waist-high wooden barricade'll stop 'em!"

So maybe the reason the ship exploded was a hidden security protocal in Gaia

that title, such... imagination, so... inspiring im almost moist with anticipation for the narrative genius that could be the next videos title

Damn, another video series I have to stop watching until I buy myself a copy and finish it, or at least get up to where the video ends before watching. That will be nine games I have purchased after watching you start to play them. And I will hand it to you they have all been absolute blast to play. Thanks for all the fun times

Always make me wonder in these super rich escaping the planet scenario's, when they get there who is going to do stuff? Possibly you could have a storage of robots (if the scenario allows them) :)

Good video. I like these slower games, at my age my brain shutdowns with first person shooters.

I start to think I shoud play this.

My biggest gripe with the first game: Why the hell did anyone wanted to send a ship into the unknown to the distant star system instead of settling on Mars? Especially when you have the technology to terraform an entire planet from a barren husk into a thriving eco system fully capable to sustain human life, just like they did for Earth. Hunkering down in a habitat is no different than living on a ship while it travels to its destination, and in many, MANY ways, it's safer, and offers more options. Then just wait until the terraforming is all ready, and enjoy your brand new planet. As a bonus, you have the original Earth nearby that you can try to salvage later. Game has cool world building, but plot holes are so big it hurts.

I have a funny feeling that Ted has something to do with the sabotage of Hades. Call it a hunch. I hope I'm wrong. For Ted's sake.

Hey Jingles, I just Got a ridiculous Kolobanovs medal in the T-22 medium. A enemy Maus blocked me in a corner while I was playing defence and the time ran out while I was the last one left. none of the enemys could shoot me. It is a crazy replay that I uploaded to WOT replays NA if you are interested

You could explain Varl rather calm behaviour with him trusting Aloy and she's the Anointed. And hey, isn't it nice that Far Zenith made a "security copy". But I agree that they are wankers.

Stealth strikes: I've always had far better luck suckering the machine (throw rock or whistle when you get the ability) to where I'm lying in wait. into the tall red grass. Stand far enough back in, and you can hit them while staying in cover for the most part. If you're too close to the edge, they can sometimes pick you out when you're close so stay in the middle of the tall red grass. Also, should mention for new players: Ted Faro is the one who sabotaged Apollo. Wish there was some way to bring him back to life so they could beat the snot out of him on a daily basis. It was his arrogance that caused the extinction of all life on Earth (except for that which was very carefully hidden away), and it was again his arrogance that led him to sabotage Apollo - acting like He Alone Knew Best.

I was well absorbed in this episode when Jingles called it a day! And so I have to wait another four days for the next instalment. So, my dilemma is: should I a) continue watching the play through episode by episode over the next several weeks or b) resist the temptation (hard as that my be) and binge watch the full replay when Jingles finally reaches the end?

Interesting that Travis Tate was mentioned. I would almost have suspected him as the inside person until that was mentioned. And of course how do we know that the Odyssey blew up? Denmark is smelling fishy again. Still dislike that they made Hades the reset/bad program. Poor guy gets such bad press - you kidnap and marry your niece and the whole world considers you the Devil! If Gaia was the creation master (mistress?) program then her husband Uranus or son Cronus would seem to be the better allegories for the reset program imo.

I've played HFW several times on the PS5 and I'm doing it again on my PC. The most difficult time for me was at the very beginning when I had no skills, green/blue weapons and very small health pool. I would like to suggest that anyone starting out , find a YT'r who specializes in Horizon Forbidden west to learn how to get decent skillss, weapon and better health.

I'm betting Far Zenith will be revealed to be a much, much bigger wankers than Jingles gives them credit for.

Funny how great games all have a good storyline. Yeah, funny how that seems to work every time. I'm expecting a lot out of this series and doubt I will be disappointed.

Got to be honest that it would have been easier to explain that Gia was the goddess, it would make more sense for him, and is actually pretty accurate.

Okay after watching that last revelation.. I think what happened is that the expert hacker in charge of Hades, found out about Far Zenith's theft and tried to include the coding into their copy, but it somehow also managed to infect the Zero Dawn copy of Gaia. Thus triggering the events of the game.

I mean not offense to you Jingles i love your content but this game is massive in scale and content and with burning shores but if you keep playing with 30-40 min videos the game will take maybe 10 years to fully complete.

I am always appalled by how pathetic these space programs are in these "futuristic" games. Just look at how SpaceX has managed to make a critical plot point of The Martian irrelevant in less than a decade since the writing of that book. The first landing of a Falcon 9 was in the same year as the movie. 96 successful Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launches in 2023. While ULA was celebrating 158 launches in 17 years SpaceX was simply launching the 160th in two years. Starship, which just completed a fully successful test flight from launch to soft landing, of both booster and ship, will once again turn the paradigm on its head. The paradigm isn't going to shift; its going to get launched into space.

So far the playthrough is nice but I really don't like Alloy's quite, whispering voice when there is no reason to.... kinda takes me out of the emersion.
