Basically the main thing is the new zenith weapon, kinda sad they didn't do frozen wilds where you can further upgrade your existing weapons or get like new tier above legendary, this dlc felt a tad shorter than frozen wilds but it's fine, they gave a us a Horus battle
@12feetup as much I like them, they only served as a mechanic/ story mission bit of avoiding the missles, outside of that they don't hold much use (barring the random underwater crate)
Ahh, thank you! I was so confused on how to place the Designator mark for the homing blasts... my stupid brain didn't realise it's the damn R1 button. It even shows it as the weapon skill in the wheel, I just didn't register. This thing is SO FUN to use! The homing bullets, it's MAD knockdown power and the ability to fire the charged shot into the Designator at the last few seconds of its timer for BIG damage. I went to fight a Frostclaw on UH with this thing and knocked it down 6 times during the fight with this weapon alone, easily triggered the new Grapple Strikes too. This weapon has been so much more fun that I expected at first glance.
Just got my PS5 and the DLC with the Spectre Gauntlet and Waterwing truly gave a new game for me, even after ~1,200 hours of the base game on PS4. 😊 🤘🏼
Ill be honest, the specter gauntlet is woefully underpowered for the point in the game where you get it. I could use it for a thousand damage with the mark, resonator, and a valor surge. Or I can just freeze a machine and use my sharp shot bow for 4.5k damage per shot. Or my shredder gauntlet that on the right target can do upwards of 400 damage per tick and 800 explosions and get a status out of it. Or the new spike thrower and just delete machines with 2.5k damage splitting spikes. I could go on, its just not comparable to the other weapons we already have if you coil them right, which is sad because I love the concept and how it plays, it's just not good enough for me, especially on ultra hard mode.
Yes but you have to admit that the crafting materials for the railgun are extremely cheap (10 sheds and 2 electro items or smth) for a weapon that does like 750 damage when marked, this is pretty neat. My sharp shot bow requires a lot more materials for only 3 arrows. It does 1200 damage and above per shot but i want to save my ammo, i just use the bow on bigger enemies, also playing on ultra hard ng+
It’s a blast, I didn’t know if you didn’t shoot the full clip you reload faster, also the railgun can overcharge if you aim too long from what I remember when messing around with it
Nice one thanks Alex! I know what I'm doing tonight in Burning Shores :D Having a lot of fun so far, just scratched the surface tho - this guide will make taking down those fn toad mobs a far sight easier.
first Earth would have to be destroyed, but yes I was thinking the same. I was actually hoping they would add CO-OP to the game. I will pray to the creator to make it happen for Horizon 3. Imagine this incredible game having Co-OP
The quest actually starts a little to the east of fleets end. You’ll be able to spot it on the map. The thing he showed was actually the first objective
Can I assume if I was stupid enough not to pick up the railgun upgrade component at the point where I should have, other than starting a saved game from several DAYS ago, I'm screwed?
I missed getting the component after killing the guy I guess cause I can't craft it and now I have no idea where it was? Anyone know where I need to go, please??
Yes but they're pretty close to the new game plus weapons from the base game. The emperor's reign hunter bow you buy in burning shores does 300+ tear damage witch is insane. The legendary sharpshoot bow is really good too and has great ammo types.
This may be in insanely unpopular opinion but I think for a zenith weapon it should be more powerful I WANNA ONE SHOT ENEMIES ON ULTRA HARD. nah I'm just kidding it would make the game boring or will it 👀
Very disappointed in direction this franchise took after Zero Dawn. I can (and still do play ZD) but Forbidden West didn't hold my attention. Still, I gave Burning Shores a shot and after playing for 4 hours, I have to saying "boring"!
It's way too short, only has 2 new machines, only one in the wild, only one new weapon type and over all it was very disapointing, wish I skipped it all together
