Probably not going to be worth being released for PC, I play PS4 and PC and i'm drifting away from PS4 as there haven't been any good exclusives so far and these new 2017 are nothing new, basically games already made but with different names
The ONLY other thing I think would make the game more epic would be to have a semi multiplayer in the form of fortnightly hunts with a small team that is match made to take on altered, more beefy versions of the beasts with damage randomisers or bonus loot for certain styles of play.
I think this game will be in the range 7-8 out of 10 . The gameplay looks similar to other games , but I like the fact that the devs take chances with such a weird world . Hope it doesn't turn on its own head .
i have a ps4 and xbox one s but i just prefer gaming on the xbox idk why it just feels more like a gaming system to me while the ps4 seems more like an entertainment center type of device. Its just the way I view it but with that said im happy sony has exclusives very good ones at that but i would prefer to stick with the xbox for gaming which is why i passed on nioh and will pass on this game as well. the great part is if i ever change my mind in the future i can always wait till they are bargained bin.
Heaps of people seem to be putting this game down saying it is vanilla, cookies cutter and another boring open world game. But I see it as they have cherry picked all the rug and pen world stuff that works, is fun to complete and do plus I don't remember to many apocalyptic mechanical dinosaur games with an interesting story. Well the story looked interesting to me. Yes some times you get a flood of open world games but you can hardly hold that against something that was already in development before people got sick of them. I sort felt a bit the same way, or a little bit of the things mentioned but I have decided to pull my head in and give it a chance. Plus everything I have seen lately is more and more impressive. Maybe the one thing I hope they don't do is overload the world with a million things on the map to do. Ubisoft does this and AC games especially. I mean content is good but you don't want to burn out on repetitive shit just to make it feel like a lot of content, so I hope they don't do that. Otherwise I think this game will be a winner, maybe top 10 material.

i would like it on the pc you know with smoother 4k game play but ill take it on my ps4 becuase i would love to see how the story moves foward im usually not that picky but an amazing looking game like this may acually look even better on a pc just saying.

Evinthal I just don't get it, if she is a robot, how did they show us Aloy as a child? How do a robot grow old? And if a robot can grow old, how did none of her friends know that?
You missed the point ALL of the "humans" are actually androids. Remember this is 1050 years into the future from 2017, and at the rate technology grows currently there is no telling what technology will be like in even 25 years from now. So "growing" robots/androids could be a very real possibility.
Sorry gameranx there's nothing cool about checkerboard rendering it's the oldest technique in the book PC has been doing this for years now so it's nothing special. that being said the game still looks beautiful but would look amazing if it was native 4K
It would look nearly identical at 2160p as it already does in 1800p checkerboarded. Native 4k is overrated anyway, I have a PS4 Pro and played Skyrim Special Edition on my 4K tv and wasn't wowed anyway (it's a 100" tv and I sit 7' from it).

It's interesting that you mentioned being happy about the tallnecks being like a tower/viewpoint system, cuz I've seen sooo many people complain about that very thing. Personally, I agree, I enjoy map clearing

***** Shadowfall was pretty average. It had great gameplay, the first few levels were great, graphics were great, multiplayer was fun, story was disappointing, protagonist wasn't interesting, repetitive levels, and yeah. Above average at least.
creative username it's cool, but it definitely isn't the first with that art style. In fact I would dare to say that there are a ton of Japanese games with a very similar art style to Breath of the Wild.

Azuraid I own a ps4 and PC all I'm saying I hate when idiots defend a platform for having an exclusive unless it's the devs choices for instance games likes CiV, Star Citizens, Subnautica, etc.. I find it idiotic to think blocking games so others can experience it is just pathetic and it separates us gamers even more.
Treat the game with a grain of salt until you play it... Killzone developers are making it after all.. I'm expecting mediocrity but I hope they manage to finally make a good game

I love this game from the moment I started it, I fell in love. This game tops every game I've ever played and I been playing games for over 25 years and never came a cross any other game like/ similar. This game have its own originality. The best exclusive ever made. This game should be name game of the year or best exclusive but, its too soon to tell. There's nothing in Horizon Zero Dawn that I wound't want to change. From the graphics to the storyline, I love this game, 10/10, 5 Star, 2 Thumbs up.

This game honestly looks so generic it kind of makes me sick. I mean what is this ACTUALLY bringing to the table, not much. It's just another flashy turd. I've been a gamer for a long time and I'm getting tired of these "pretty" games getting hyped up before they even come out. We IMHU are heading towards a bad future for gaming. Everyone is so eager to just suck up whatever any game designers will throw at you. I see 4 people sitting around a table saying "uhh, it needs to look good, and uhh...put some robots in there. Yeah! Wafrie 01 It's not really generic when you keep in mind the magic, bestiary, etc. It's also the third in a series and when it started it was less generic so it's pretty easy to forgive. Not to mention how perfectly it handles pretty much everything. It was far from generic when you really got into it.
To be brutally honest, it looks generic and it will probably have boring game play seeing this is a GG development and whats up with frame rate, lmao. Not a big deal though, I am more looking forward to Shenmue, yes a mere kickstarter game cos I am pretty sure it will be more fun to play than HZD! I'll watch a Twitch playthrough instead of wasting money on a game that will end up in the bargain pin after a week or two!
From what I've seen from gameplay videos, this game's all looks and little substance. The plotline is predictable, even without playing the game.(Our character is a fucking machine, her name is literally a play on words of "Alloy"! You don't need a PHD in Shyamalan Studies to see that twist coming!) As much as I like Hideo Kojima, he's not immune from making mistakes. Even then, have you seen how cinematic he's making Death Stranding look. He's not using their engine for gameplay, he's using it 'cus it looks pretty. If this wins Game of the Year, I'll know which awards are full of shit.

I hope this isn't just a Farcry look-a-like. Bummed out to see "take over tower to reveal more of map" mechanic and an upgrade system that looks exactly like Farcry... Not saying the game will be bad, but if it just runs on those tropes then it'll just be another misstep in gaming... I don't know why developers are so scared to make systems complex. Challenge the player. They should add so many systems and complex mechanics to the game that the player can find ways to break those mechanics that even the developer didn't realize could happen. That makes for a special game.

I don't buy it. It doesn't seem like the game is even attempting to do anything exploitative besides the way it renders its graphics. You speak a lot about graphical advancements, but it doesn't equal for the aesthetic beauty. You can have a game that looks breathtaking for about 2 hours, but afterwards you'll be bored by how it looks because it's all the flipping same. I don't mean to bash every game that has nice graphics, metal gear solid as you mention both looks and plays awesome. It just seems as if the focus on this game is the idea of the setting, and how to make that look good. Trying to put gameplay into that would be like trying to put shooting elements into Journey, the game would be worse for it. Something, that I think would be interesting to center a game around in this setting, that is not meaningless upgrading of gear and what not, would be a functioning ecosystem that reacts like it did back when we were hunters and gatherers. We Laid waste to countless species wherever we went. So year, an ecosystem to destroy I think would be pretty brilliant, especially if it wasn't expected.
