Love the fact that they can change the environment during a fight. Crush boulders, knock down trees, one of them machines even glides on the ice if it attacks too quickly!

worked like a charm. One bow crafted to burn, other one to freeze, a third for tear and deal high damage and finally the blast sling, then you become a big boy in Horizon world.

For people who are complaining about the weapons being to OP and you can’t have fun anymore or hard mode doesn’t have its purpose here’s a pro-tip don’t use the shield weaver armor and don’t use the weapons he used which you can’t get from a merchant. You don’t get the shield weaver armor until around level 30 I think and you don’t even need to get it if you want. Plus the weapons he used, you need to complete the hunting grounds with the best score in order to get it and with also the modifications that are rare. Even if you have all of these but you still want a challenge then simply don’t use them.

People do challenge because they want to feel good about themselves , saying proudly they beat the hardest difficulty ... when OP equipments present , everyone can just do it so there’s no point in doing the challenge when they can’t brag about it , that is the point

Freeze is amazingly effective. I enjoy combat more than just laying bombs and traps, although those certainly have their uses.

A lot of people saying this is op. Try that on UH with a herd of machines and youll be dead in a heart beat. You can never be op in this game if youre playing UH. unless you master the mechanics of the game or spend a sht ton of hours farming the best mods out there. When I played the dlc I realised how useful the freeze aspect really is. I always just used the blast sling and well placed arrows but now I use banuk hunter bow the banuk freeze weapon tripcaster and the blast sling. Shame I finished the game :( maybe I’ll play new game +

Is there a reason they’re only dealing 34 damage (75 when frozen)? Were they nerfed? It says it has 280 impact damage but I’m barely even scratching them

I'm replaying this again on pc in preparation for Forbidden West after already platinumed the ps4 version in 2017. I've watched a lot of your videos and they make my run on pc go a lot smoother, thank you. PS Sticky, sticky, sticky is my new mantra when taking on Fireclaws

Dude, great video, especially your commentary! I will now be saying "sticky, sticky, sticky" while I play. 😆 I've just started using the Shadow Sling with freeze mods and the Blast Sling with damage mods - my Blast Sling is up to about 350 damage. Nuked some Frostclaws with no problems at all. Then took down a Thunderjaw dropping bombs on its head. It's awesome!

Even with ammo crafter you still lose on blaze so a slightly slower way would be to blow off disk launchers with tearblast arrows then freeze and kill him with the launcher,

This is a good technique but I think the best one is to get them to kill one another by overriding or corrupting them. Using corruption arrows I can take out a herd while hiding in the red grass and taking interesting screenshots!

I find more easy to beat the Thunderjaw with 1 or 2 of those arrows that break the components. I ame those 2 arrows to the weapons on the Thunderjaw back, them i take those weapons and beat him, 40 sec tops and less munition.

Mmm...I just use three different bows. Makes it more action-packed. Though I didn't get extra arrows ability yet. Thought didn't cross my mind I could stack status effects faster that way.

go straight for shadow weapons. Use nora protector heavy because melee damage is most common

The tactic I use is freezing the enemy and shooting them with the ice rail s ice cannon and it does 2000 damage with damage mods

They really have to nerf some stuff in the game at this point. It's no fun when you can do this. There is no more challenge just mindless killing and that sucks in my opinion. :( I liked the video and all but man, do they have to buff the enemies and nerf the weapons.

Why? He clearly use end game gear, which is meant to be overpowered. And you can win game using simple hunter bow. There are no trophies tied to how fast you can down those machines. Also, there are machines immune to ice.

KeeperOfTheFate I get that this is post MAIN game. That's completely fine. Also, end game gear is supposed to be powerful not OP. Usually when you have the end game gear the machines or any enemies around you should also have some sort of boost that makes them more resistant to any type of damage, still keeping their weakness though because that would just be logical, BUT in this case you have gear, the ultra weave suit, that is just completely broken. It only needs about 10 seconds to recharge before you can go bazerk again with only a spear. Then the lounge weapons all of which with the right mods can do what Jordan showed us in this video. If you have the armor and on top of that have the lounge weapons the game turns into a non tactical brainless slaughter fest. Where is the challenge? Guerrilla sold this game with the intention of Tactical Combat. Intelligent AI machines that come at you with everything they got, and you try your best to survive by being tactical and smart with your moves. I'm in no way trying to diss anyone who has the power armor on all the time or has these weapons attached, that's preference and I get that, and I'm in no way trying to start a pointless argument or disrespect you. It's just hard not to acknowledge how different the games is with the OP suit and OP weapons. It's taking most of what makes the games fun away. Balancing is an important part of any RPG and game in general and that's something I don't see here. I know the game isn't multiplayer and others people's experiences doesn't effect me, and people can play the way they please, that's not the argument I'm making here (wanted to clear that up) BUT it does take a way from what GG spent hours trying to make and their original vision for the game which was a Tactical Combat experience. The armor should be in the game and the lounge weapons also, by no means should they be taken out, but a little tweaking here and there would be appreciated. I mean he was playing on Very Hard and still took down a Thunder Jaw in about 20 seconds. You have to think twice about that. I'm pretty sure that's was never intended to be done. It's blows my mind. This could just be me and I might be wrong, but hey, I feel as though it's a valid point. :) Just anda side note: NO HATE TO JoeRaptor. I really like his channel and get why he's showing us this. Just thanks to this video it's clear the game needs some adjustments. Again ALL my opinions.

I'm sure he could do the same thing to machines weak to fire or shock. Just modify the war bow or hunter bow with those coils. But I agree, you don't start out like this. It takes time to become OP to such a degree.

first off, you cant buy those weapon he's using. You have to beat 5 different hunting ground with the best score to be able to get it and those mod he used are rare which isnt sold at the market.

Well actually, I use the shield weaver armour, but I only use hardpoint arrows with the shadow hunter bow and a ropecaster. Even the shadow hunter bow is good because on very hard mode, I can knock off the components on a thunderjaw with 3 hardpoint arrows. So I still have to play it smart even though I can take a few hits with no consequence. It's like a penalty that I have. If I have the armour on, I can only use the ropecaster and hardpoint arrows with the shadow hunter bow. If I don't have the armour on, I can use any weapon. I don't want to be too overpowered.

this isnt fair. not everybody has the time to build up the skills and weapons like you have. your weapons and skills are all complete. what about the regular people without that much skills and advanced weapons? i thought i could see some stealth hunting techniques like using casters and traps and other elemental weapons with combinations of critical hits when the enemy is down or something ......... COME ON!
