End up sneaking past most enemies, harvesting arrows, all harvesting related skills, slingshot and trip caster seems to be my best friends.

Funnily enough I didn’t have much problems with the larger machines on ultra hard, like the thunder jaw or the storm bird since I just used my same strategy it’s just that it takes much more resources to take them down, at least for me. It’s the smaller ones that gave me problems on ultra hard like stalkers, watchers that could nearly one shot kill me from 1000 meters, Ravengers waiting for me on mountain peaks,humans that could run through fire and nearly one shot kill me and the broad heads that could run on water, run up mountains and defy physics in various other ways. I feel that on ultra hard the game breaks its own rules just to beat you. It tries so hard that you can sometimes see it forcing it like with pippin, spawning and gravity defying maneuvers.

Ultra hard is brutal. I’m near the end of it but I’m so low on resources since I haven’t been doing the side quests and was trying to do a speed run through the main story on my game plus mode. The machines and bandits see everything and can shoot me from 1000 meters even if I’m running up a mountain. I haven’t enjoyed it, to be honest. It feels far less realistic because the AI goes crazy. On the way to Gai prime I climbed a mountain and there were 2 Ravengers waiting for me. How on Earth they could have climbed up there is beyond me since there is no way back down other than by using hand rails, but I digress. They both ran at me and spazzed out crashing into each other and repeatedly continued to crash into the wall even after I died. Also i was chased by a broad head and it was able to move just as fast through water as it could on land, throw in the fact that the game can spawn in machines at any time it is more apparent because of the erratic nature of the hardest game mode. I’m only doing it to unlock the achievements that come with completing it but when I finish I will only play on normal in subsequent playthroughs. Normal feels more balanced to me. More reward for your efforts. I’m playing on ultra hard I have the highest mods in the best weapons and there is no benefit from having the best weapons or outfits that I slogged to get in my first playthrough. With such ferocious machines on Ultra hard the world Aloy lives in would be extinct long before she was born. If they can tear through her even with the secret armour what hope would the other tribes people have in that world, without using it.LOL. I didn’t even see the point using the secret armour for most of my playthrough since I was taking damage to the armour and her health simultaneously. I mostly used the Nora survivor adept armour with the highest freeze resistant mods to protect Aloy from freeze attacks from glinthawks and snapmaws and some times I back and forth with the cheiftan outfit to regenerate health between battles.

The differences are: Very Hard mode looks like a walk in the park compared to Ultra Hard. On Ultra Hard, I can barely escape any fight.

Понятно, что это было очень давно. Хотя какое это имеет значение. Но может кому-то еще пригодится. На Падальщиков никогда не нужно нападать в открытую. А ты постоянно нападаешь. Причем до 4 противников. И часто находишься на грани смерти (их проще выманить в траву по одному за счет свиста и потом убить). Здоровья почти никогда нет у тебя. Бутылочки со здоровьем быстро тратятся, запаса лечебной травы тоже нет, она постоянно уходит на лечение. В этой игре больше надо играть по stealth, чем лезть в открытую на противников. 6:50 зачем столько риска? Когда можно просто одного подстрелить электрической стрелой (что ты и сделал), а потом поставить 2 взрывных нити и те, кто выжил добить стрелами. Sawtooth 12:50. Зачем на него тратить столько огнежара? А он сильно тратится, когда ставишь взрывные нити. Он спокойно убивается огненными стрелами, которые при этом дешевые и ресурса огнежар (blaze) на них уходит очень мало. Электрическая нить тоже не нужна. И вообще, ты не правильно бой начинаешь.
