Damn so many people don't understand. The tragedy was that the male hornbill disappeared, which was also shown in the fact that the female opened up the tree hole which they don't do unless fledging time, which was not the case here.
This animal is not that stupid as you thought, they will one day leaving the nest, just because time is not ready before they place in their baby they went in to that hole first. And they just closed in with clay only. Soon when the baby ready to fly the parents will help to get out.
It cannot be a tragedy and they won't die inside the hole but this Hornbill build their nest uniquely. The female will be inside the hole and start to make the hole smaller with the help of male hornbill by using mud etc.She will be inside and fully depends upon male, and when baby bird gets mature and ready to fly, they will start making the hole bigger by removing those mud which was used before and they would be able to get out....
If u guys think its a tragedy ..nop its just for protection for the female hornbill and her chick .... Hornbill make the hole smaller with mud and will live with her offspring for like five months in a nest.....its not a tragedy its thier natural behaviour
@@Rzk41207 the female birds will remove the outer layer by herself and come out along with the baby bird.. its a unique way ... The layer is make of mud ...
The oppening hole was n will be wide enough, they make it narrow by wet mud so now it dried up, it will cm out no issue that a nature of hornbill nest,
This is the most amazing video of Hornbill I ever seen, really sad about it, my friend. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a best weekend. Stay connected my friend.
He may hv been hunted by humans for his casques...esp long ago n in some parts of the world still😑...some countries still dun hv Wildlife Protection laws🤕...
Plus, the female and chick more than likely died in that nesting hole, too. May have been too weak from not eating to break the hole bigger to leave, which is what was supposed to happen had the male returned to continue feeding his mate and chick(s).
😢😢😢😢dammm! Mother: dearest,my heart where have you been? What have they done to you ? Is it human again? Why human are so cruel and stupid? They're the one who should protect the nature (us)instead of causing tragedy.i thought human are the smartest one amongst us all animals...dammmm😢😢
someone has to place the babies in there. The mother is way too big to get thru the tiny hole when laying eggs. or there is a bigger access hole that human covered for making the youtube.
So horn bills the females trap them selfs in a hole and the male feeds them and the baby the male presumably died so the mom had to break out and abandon the baby
What must have happened is that the female is too weak to break out and died with the chicks. Honbill female will stay with the chicks and cover up the nesting hole. As you can see in the video the female was too weak trying to enlarge the hole to break out after the male went missing for 2 days meaning 2 days of not eating as male is the sole provider. Edit: or the chicks died after 2 days of not feeding and the female somehow survived and and was able to break out.
