Far better watching you then scratching your head over a service sheet, thankyou

Nice work on that model. I have to admit that the front reminds me of an airship in some ways. I love the colours though. Another great video mate. Peter.

Very well done Bill, a treasure has been restored. One of my favourites, love the blue with the blue coronation coaches, it’s the white lines flowing down the side of the train which adds to its special look…. Well that me. Thank again for the video and the short run around the layout. All best Marc

The blue livery of the coronation class looks wonderful tbh.

Another old classic running well again. I love the LMS streamliners, and had a Crimson Lake KG VI of this period many moons ago. I do prefer the more modern ones. Al.

Its your attention to detail. Obviously the model had been apart before arriving with you. I just love the way you zoom in on the problems almost instinctively. Another great overhaul.

Great work Bill, so many little things to fix, but when you add them all up it makes a huge difference. 👍

Thanks again Bill for another good servicing video. These locos were designed in the 'art deco' period which accounts for its strange streamlined appearance (images of Poirot, et al, come to mind). I've been looking for an n-gauge version but there doesn't seem to be any! Once again, your systematic, problem-solving approach is great to watch. Cheers

I picked up the wartime black city of Edinburgh and it's a great looking loco, I'm not keen on the other colours, maroon and blue. Great watch as usual. Thanks.

Nice one Bill. All of the pick-up wheels on the loco were in place, back to front as well as some untidy moulding flash(?) causing such problems? Nice to see it running there. The Coronation Streamlining plates added another 9 tons to the loco, or so I read anyway. Great stuff Bill. Keep Warm now. Cheers!

I buy mine in cheap multipacks from Amazon. It's handy having a few pairs lying around and they do break easily. But they are essential for me.

I've got a GWR 28XX, tender driven, and the driving wheels I've notice catch and lock. With so many GWR locos of varying ages, atm I'm just going through basic maintenance, but this video makes me want to check what you revealed today. To 28xx is in good condition, so will look to see if I can pin point the fault.

Another Fantastic film from you Bill, I see that you are not a fan of the art deco streamlined locos , neither was I until I saw the Duchess at the York Museaum. I now have a model which I will re-region .

Interesting to see the coronation class loco with a ringfield motor in the tender. Mine has an X04 motor in the engine. Valve gear seems so often to be a problem. Monique from Brisbane

Nice troubleshooting Bill.

In many cases, Streamlining was like painting racing stripes on a car. It generally didn't increase performance. In some cases, it made performance worse. That being said, the main benefit was appeal to the public as something "new and improved" compared to conventional steam locomotives. Personally , I like Norfolk and Western's class J #611.

Excellent job once again Bill. I wonder if more people associate streamlining with the A4s and Mallard so to see a different approach to streamlining can seem slightly jarring. I think the Coronation class is pretty impressive looking in its own way.

Dear Sir, I do not know why, but this Coronation Class always reminds me of H. R. Giger's Alien creature. Not a favourite also, but would love to have one in me collection, its weird shape adding a wee bit of variety to an otherwise squary lot. Cheers from Brazil!

I really enjoy your repair videos! When I was a lot younger they would have help me so much! Could you list down the tools you use and the various greases, oils etc. Thank you Harry p.s. my favourite loco was a Triang B12

Billy O' , Tho I'm in your camp far as streamlined steam, I'll gladly take this one's design over those ultra modern ugly ugly white Asian bullet trains with their Duck Billed Platypus snouts !! This one kinda resembles our orange US Hiawatha locos of our old Milwaukee Road... Any road (as Ringo says) she's certainly is runnin' nice now !!! Good, thorough job as always, sir...

Looks like the loco has been dropped then dismantled and re-assembled incorrectly. People forget the photograph and check wheel polarity before doing any work on a loco. Also carpets and locos do not mix!

However if I was gifted one I would kindly receive it..off to my local model railway exhibition tomorrow
