The SS Major was probably thinking "Did those idiots set themselves up like ducks in a shooting gallery and wait to get shot again? And did the resistance use those small hand grenades that explode like a huge bomb?? No wonder we keep loosing the war in these films!"
Yes, no doubt the Waffen SS Major was thinking his SS troops were acting like Imperial Stormtroopers, running into fire, no ability to aim their weapons, etc.
If you watch enough of these World War II movies, the way the Germans were portrayed as the worst fighters and buffoons, yet they somehow managed to conquer all of Europe and northern Africa before the United States and Soviet Union started closing in on them the last 3 years of the war.
History is told by people who won the war. They always portray themselves as heroes and good guys and all the other are bad guys, evil, and dumb. Just like they do with any opponent in the news that isn't going along with the current leftist gender-neutral rainbow sh*tshow.
That truck is something from 1965. And that Freddie Mercury mustache on Rock Hudson explains that he must have ducked into a male leather bar after this scene. That SS man was killed way too early in the movie.
My Dad took me to see this when I was 8. The projectionist screwed up and showed the same reel again later in the movie. Luckily it was an action packed reel and I didn’t mind.
HIMMEL!!! It's totally our doomsday! Our Sentinel realized the danger at 1:18, but it was too late. A cataclysmic disaster has come for us! We, the SS troops of the Reich's elite, dominated the fate of this village not so long ago, But now we're all panicked and mowed down in a mess by a bunch of kids! 1:40 is my time(I'm afraid my end is the one at 2:37) and 1:49 is another crazy scene!
I feel so sorry for the boy on the left at 0:06. He was still so young and was probably only 18 years old. I am sure that he had his first day in the Wehrmacht. An innocent young victim. His mother won't find out for a few days and will break down crying. His anxious face knew what was to come. Getting up in the truck made him a safe target. A small caliber pistol was enough to wipe out his young life. A direct gut shot through his leather belt. A quick gritt of his teeth and a lifeless fall out of the truck's cab. In his screwing movement he tried to hold on to the door. But the bullet was too placed in his gut. No chance. But he served his fatherland uncompromisingly, to the point of a hero's death. And new leather boots are available again. The cheeky children drag him away by the front edge of his steel helmet and his boots. This once proud young boot soldier is thrown into the ditch like rubbish or rubbish. The kids will probably rob him of every last piece of equipment. His boots will be rolled for. It will probably be there for a few days. What a shame!
Yes, so brutal the way he was cut down, when all he did was stop to help a child in distress. His young life snuffed out like swatting a fly. Tragic. And look at the shock on his kamerad's face (the driver) when he sees his friend shot. But he has no time to react as a bullet tears into his chest. He clutches at the wound, tries to stem the flow of blood, but the pain is too much, he crumples and falls from the cab. And then, like his pal, he is dragged off to be robbed of his possessions and left in the woods for the wolves to devour. Another poor mother will receive the bad news in a few days, another life snuffed out. It is the tragedy of war for sure!
German soldiers were portrayed as ruthless Nazi's, but in truth many were just serving soldiers, controlled by hitlers jack booted thugs, and murderers.. id belive most were not like this, its the leaders always that set the orders..., soldiers do their best to serve and survive...
Who woulda thought... Rock Hudson contributing to the delinquency of a minor. But how fun it musta been for those kids to get to be in a war movie and shoot soldiers. Imagine the outcry over a script like that being proposed today? I would have loved a role in that movie back in 1970... or even today.
At 1:49 at the top of the screen you can see the human waste of war. Just like at roll call in the morning, they lie in rank and file, shot side by side. Their bodies and boots are strewn in all directions as if to show "look how great we look". Most of them lie stretched out on the dirty ground. A 7th soldier falls and also wants to immortalize himself in this innocent painting. Like exhibits, these gorgeous young men lie in their fine uniforms and even finer leather boots, pointing in all directions. They are all available, free of charge. the first is the faster. serve yourself. it has long as it has.
Yes, they lie strewn on the ground - all that finery, pride and precision of soldiering brought to sheer utter waste and chaos. They lie blooded and broken like dolls on the ground, bodies twisted and contorted in all shapes of death, uniforms shredded and blooded, stained with muck and who knows what (😈). And for the first to arrive after, there is much clearing up to be done and much to be retrieved and re-used. My favourite is the young soldier at 1:40, who grits his teeth as he's shot in the chest, his legs buckle and he falls to the ground with his kamerad beside him. To think that just seconds before he was full of life with so many hopes and dreams, and then it all ends in a hail of hot-tipped sub-machine gun bullets like this. Tragic, but hot too!
REMEMBER SEEING THIS MOVIE YEARS AGO AND TRYING TO KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE; ROCK HUDSON AND A BUNCH OF ITAILIAN STREET URCHINS WIPING OUT AN ENTIRE WAFFEN SS BATTALION.
I actually got work on a genuine Kubelwagen as a VW mechanic in Los Angeles. It was bought by an engineer for Union 76 oil in the middle east when discovered in a sand dune while they were searching for oil. He paid some 'backsheesh' to an official to allow it to come home with other drilling equipment. He refurbished it and used it as a rental for the movies. Even lower geared then the VW Beetle itself.
Yes it really is a huge shame. Trained and uniformed soldiers being slaughtered by children. That should be forbidden. Soldiers should be shot by soldiers, not children. These well-trained soldiers had many months of basic training, were equipped with great equipment and MP40s. They all wore the best leather boots, which have undergone expensive production. And all this is completely destroyed by a few children in a few seconds. I've never seen such a sad story. I cry. All these dead people in their uniforms, helmets and boots.........abused mercilessly by children.
Yes, it should have been soldier v soldier, a real he-man fight between men of equal ability. Instead these fine soldiers were shot down like dogs in the street by KIDS?! All those hot uniforms, tall shiny boots, the best of weapons and such fine looking soldiers - and it comes to this?! Riddled with bullets, eviscerated by shrapnel and generally blown away like feathers in the wind - this was brutal and deadly and how did it come to this?! I would say they would die of shame, but as they are almost all dead to a man that will make no difference. And these kids will strike again, I have no doubt 😉😁!
Starting at 4:52 is so heartbreaking. Just look at these German corpses. A small village paved with German uniforms. Behind every corner of the house and between the houses they lie, the retired young soldiers. Anyone who can clean up there can count themselves lucky. The coming weekly markets in the surrounding villages will be full of the boots, helmets and bleeding uniforms of the young German soldiers. There they are sold to partisans and villagers for cheap money. It's a shame! German soldiers' boots were very popular with the population because they were very robust and their smooth leather and hobnails were very popular. I counted the dead at 4:52. On the left side of the road are 22 dead and on the left are 14 dead Germans. And between the houses there are another 30 dead. That's a total of 66 German corpses in boots with full equipment. 66 steel helmets, 66 uniforms, 132 individual leather boots. 66 Y-Straps with panniers and gear. 66 proud soldiers killed by children. 66 dreams erased within seconds. 66 mothers who lost their sons to children. A sad act.
Yes, you are absolutely right! Soldiers always deserve soldiers! Even if they have to pay for what they did, it should be done by trained regular soldiers even or maybe the adult guerrillas. They can shoot through their handsome uniforms with bullets through fierce battles and let this group of young and strong lads screamed and died. They can also capture these soldiers and tie them to stakes and execute them. They can even stab the soldiers with knives after intense hand-to-hand combat, causing their blood to overflow from their throats. But let them be shot by children , it's too shame! soldiers always deserve soldiers! not children!
Soldiers always wear uniform and boots. One is only a soldier with a uniform and high boots. Soldiers in Boots are meant to be killed by Soldiers in Boots and vice versa. But in no case by many people or children.
Anyone who praises these murders should be ashamed, the Germans were preparing for the war whilst the rest of the war did not know so they had the advantage, but when we realised it we beat them
As per the slow motion 'Action Reply' at the end, the SS Major's (Meyer's) black leather gloved clad 'pointed finger' and closed fist was no match for the Heer Kaptain's Luger Pistol with a live round.! 'Don't point your finger at me SS Meyer'...
As a kid I thought this was a great movie. Then, it became pretty cringe for awhile after the World found out about Rock Hudson. Still a good movie, even if trained Germans being beaten by kids is a little far fetched.
😍. Cerca presto un nuovo video 💜💥!
The actor playing Hauptmann (or Captain) Von Hecht should have pronounced 'Major' the proper, German way of 'Myor'. In fact, none of the actors playing the Germans made an effort to speak German, which is shameful.
An example of classically-shitty B cinema cornyness from my 8 yr. old childhood days. These silly & preposterous B-flicks were the mainstay of late afternoon weekday TV shows like "The Money Movie", where pot-boilers were shown after we got home fr elementary school & jr. high. Never figured out who the target audience was supposed to be because a lot of house moms would've been turned-off by "guy flicks", & a lot of it was real oldy stuff kids like me would skip automatically. But they threw in a lot of crappy box office rejects that I'm assuming they got a deal on.
@@foreverblueclassics I was just disturbed on how a patrol of children managed to blow up a company that must have a rigorous training and better equipment, they must be possessed with some supernatural elements and give them an unexplainable strength and guided them to get out of it safely especially you are like against a company.
@@willjanalaurin1929 It's a surprise attack they were not expecting. It's just a movie though, not to be taken as fact. But of course, and sadly, some kids have been used to fight in wars down the years.
How!!!!!!!! Hemel!!!!!!! Cloud!!!!!!!How!!!!!!!! Were we defeated by children?????!!!!!! We are invincible soldiers!!!!!!!????? I don't believe that, guys. This is a dream, I'm dreaming, I'll wake up right now and we'll all be alive!!!
2:07 Unfortunately they didn't have time to put on their proud boots anymore. They had to die without their proud uniform and steel helmet. This is the worst death of a soldier. Unworthy of a soldier. 4:52 shows the absolute high point of a soldier's life. Comrades, shoulder to shoulder united in death. The highest tribute of every young man in war. The most powerful event at the end of every combat mission. A painting of the sweet dying in full gear and fascination. They did it willingly and with pride. Even if it hurt for a moment. They did it for themselves and their comrades, but also for their enemies. The sad and erotic end of a soldier's life. Stretched out in boots and helmets, Honor crucified him. no exhibition is more fascinating! Anyone who cannot enjoy this sight is in the wrong place. But this place is just plain horny.
I wonder what was going on with the pair at 2:07 before they were so rudely interrupted?! But bare chested soldiers being cut down is horny for me, as much as when they are in full uniform. They died fighting, the least any good soldier can do, and so many others joined them on that one-way ticket to hell. Look at the scene at 4:52. Once so proud and stoic, now scattered like driftwood on the beach. They fought to the end, hoping to see out the day, but cut down in the prime of life. Machine gunned or blasted by grenades, true fighters to the end, dying as so many have done before and since. All soldiers want to live, but if they have to die this is how they would wish it. Horny it is mate, you are so right on that!
@@foreverblueclassics i know but this is too ridiculous and the only excuse is that these children were trained before. And also I wouldn't entrust a grenade to a child who probably don't have a training at all because your whole truck of partisans will be fucked up and that's not only one grenade.
@@willjanalaurin1929 The US soldier (played by Rock Hudson) does show them how to hold and fire a sub-machine gun and throw grenades. But at the end of the day it's not based on a true story so it should be watched as that, a piece of fiction.
