Don't tell me you're not using a wheelchair in public and actually walk on your legs. Thats hella disrespectful and racist, shit like this is why people are afraid to become gamers.

Yeah the hardware was excellent and the graphics were amazing , but unfortunately I got aids after I got laid for the first time because a girl liked playing x box with me sooooo 0/10
i didn't notice any framedrops, even while playing the most graphically intensive games, AND running quick resume. the controller is incredibly similar to the last one, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. fairly good lineup of games on top of everything else. too bad i died of stage 4 cancer after playing monster hunter. 0/10
My review of xbox I love how powerful it is. Quick resume is very nice and running games at these top tier specs for less than a pc is great. But my parents got a divorce then my dad killed himself and my mom wgot in a car crash 0/10
Halfway veiw the articles going to be like now I can't be as mad at this homeless man as I can be because the brand new playstation 5 is coming out and I'm very excited
This reminds me of the time my sister graduated from University. Everyone was expecting to go in, get their diploma, and have a great time, but partway through the ceremony the dean killed the mood by saying (and yes, I recorded it), "I wanted to give an uplifting speech and tell a few jokes, but I think it's far more important to take this time to remember that we stole this land off the Natives. We killed them for it, destroyed their tribes, their traditions, their culture, and today we're using their land to ensure everyone has a better future except them. As you accept your diploma, just remember whose backs you're standing on." Funnily enough, the University wasn't built on Native land (it was untouched), and my sister's best friend, who's half Cree, looked at me after his little speech and just said, "Jesus Christ, what a c*nt."
@@julius7824 It's not fake, but okay. And no, I'm not posting the video. Then people will know what university I'm talking about and I don't think that's fair, considering it's not actually a bad school. The dean's just an idiot. Plus my sister and her friend are in it and thanks but we like our privacy. Also, using "gay" as an insult is very 15 year old teen in 2001.
"Yeah, _Amnesia: Rebirth_ is a pretty good game, but it's definitely held down by the fact that half of the people that have ever lived on Earth died as children, less than 10% of wild rabbits live to adulthood, and the star-forming age of the universe will only last for a few trillion years, then another Googol years before heat-death, when entropy reaches its maximum and time becomes meaningless. So yeah, _Amnesia: Rebirth_ gets a 0/10 from me." - Kotaku, probably (all of that shit is actually true tho)
Good point. Imagine if you're the editor and you refuse to publish this garbage. Later, your employee goes on a twitter rant, calls you a trump supporter and gather followers that come after you and get you fired. If I were in his shoes, I'd say "yeah" too. xD xD
Depends, Some want to Know an upcoming game, Or want a honest review of a game your interest on. I am very interested in Cold War obviously many find The Campaign very good and zombies also cool. But then are the ones that don't make sense, Like this Site. Doesn't give a Review of the PS5 just rants about what's happening in The World.
Oldschool gaming journalism was awesome. There used to be no Steam with it's super easy refund system, no massive rating agregators like Metacritic, no such things as letsplays. The only way to purchase a game was to go to your local store and buy a non-refundable hardcopy (I mean you probably could refund somewhere, but it really depended on the rules and good will of your local store), so you actually wanted to know if the game was worth begging money from your parents to buy it. And the best source of that information were game journalists. And they used to actually care, being a shill was not normal back then, it was massively shunned upon. And they would actually take their time to play the game and try their best to understand it and write a well thought out review. There was no need to rush with review, people wouldn't necessary want to run in the store immediately after the release, they were waiting for some objective information first. But that's the old times I'm talking about, those time are in the past and gaming journalism should have stayed there as well. To see what it has degenerated into today, I mean it's just disgraceful.
@@PlgDctr That sounds pretty awful tbh. Kotaku might be kinda trash, but there is nothing better than metacritic, lets plays and stuff like that. Getting information and opinions on a game is much easier than ever and you got a gigantic pool of it as opposed to one journalist in a tacky magazine.
The best part is that Dr Birx actually said we'd lose 200,000-400,000 if we did everything right. “The harsh truth is, they won’t be able to buy a PlayStation 5” oh no, what will people do if they can’t buy a PlayStation 5. they might have to play other video games or find a different way to entertain themselves! Oh the humanity!

I feel like some people are so engrossed with negativity that they can't find happiness in the world. So they simply want everyone else to feel as miserable as they do. It's shocking that such an article was approved by anyone at Kotaku. But it's not like their reputation could get any lower
*”this is basically like going into a restaurant reminding everyone that there’s people starving in the world - and then getting a seat at that restaurant.”* Perfect.
yeah I mean, we all know there is some people who starving or something, but that doesn't mean we suppose to feel they pain, they suppose to feel our enjoy
Crippled Man: *starts walking* Kotaku: There are so many people that can’t walk, and while it’s nice that you can walk, it’s just saddening for me to think about the people that can’t walk, unlike you...
This guy just wanted to spout his political grievances while still being able to milk revenue from PS5 hype. This entire article is just extraneous information.
I kinda am sick of everyone interjecting politics into everything, sometimes we need to focus on what unites us such as the new console, rather than the politics that divide us.
Reader: so this is a play station 5 review right? Kotaku: Yes Reader: so it is a review about the play station 5 console right Kotaku: Yep, that's right Reader: Then why are you talking about healthcare, corona virus, politics and people's financial situation? Kotaku: *high pitched angry screeching*
I have serious mental health issues, so I play a lot of PlayStation. It's a form of escapism like Charlie says. It helps me enjoy life, because my brain wants to kick my life when it's down. Playing games keeps my life on its feet so it can't be kicked when it's down. I also spend a lot of time making videos for RU-vid because that makes me happy. Putting content out for other people's enjoyment makes me feel like I'm doing some good in the world. Video games and RU-vid are what keep me going.
“Kotaku is like a septic tank, you know exactly what you’re getting when you look inside it, but you’re still disgusted.” 😂😂😂 That is the best put down I’ve ever heard in my life.
The logic of that review: "I might not be buying a PS5 because politics and a global pandemic exists. Even though those reasons seem irrelevent to a gaming console, im just arguing for the sake of arguing to spoil everyone's day"
The person that received that ps5 for free and makes a living just by writing shitty takes on a games "journalism" site is talking about how things are unfair...
"This is like going to a restaurant reminding everyone that there are people starving in the world, then getting a seat at that restaurant" that quote made my day
Not even. The writer is a moron who'd give you a whole lecture about the selfishness of owning a pet when people need medicine and food how dare you give it to a cat.
last time I checked shit was fucked pretty much everywhere, I don't feel like writing a novel going through all the shit going on globally but you get my point.
@@Burger_pants I know that the whole world is being affected by the corona virus but only one of these countries has a genuinely high amount of people rioting against the idea of having to wear a mask
“This is a pretty good cheese burger, Wendy’s. But I’d be remiss to ignore all the reasons not to be excited for the Wendy’s double bacon cheeseburger. There is a pandemic killing people, China’s building concentration camps, thousands of people die from cancer every day, and poverty, starvation, and disease run rampant in developing nations. As I’m writing this, it looks very likely that there will be a new president or something in America. But it’s clear none of that bad stuff will go away just because a new old white man is sitting behind the resolute desk. The world is fundamentally broken in a way that necessitates radical purple alien snap rather than incremental electorialism. The harsh truth is that, for the reasons listed above and more, a lot of people simply won’t even be able to buy the Wendy’s double bacon cheeseburger, regardless of supply. Or if they can, concerns over increasing big smart intellectual vocab word in the United States and the growing threat of political violence supersede any enthusiasm about the burger’s gooey cheese or how the crunchy bacon makes the burger more delicious. That’s not to say you can’t be excited for those things-I certainly am, on some level-but there’s an irrefutable level of privilege attached to the ability to simply do a leisure activity without actively giving yourself a brain aneurism over American politics that are irrelevant to said leisure activity.”
@D G Wow what a big brain you have sir. “Everyone dies, so why try to fix anything?” Is that your argument? You should probably think through your beliefs more instead of trying to be apathetic about everything because you think it makes you edgy
@@pvt.gaminggummybear6337 No, the argument is that you should try seeing "every other developed country" first before making a claim that you might not fully understand, and that while people are dying in America, they are also dying everywhere else. That is only what I think he was trying to say. I could be misinterpreting.
Kotaku is that one person who thinks that their life's misery is a competition. "Oh, you think you're life's hard? Well my dad beat my mom and we had to sell our food stamps to get our water turned back on. So tell me again how you're stressed out about all the work you have."
@@stroud9208 I have to watch that routinely to remind myself that even though my dad only kills me every other day with his belt, other kids have had it worse. You try tellin' that to the kids these days!!
Calling for a (social) revolution in a review for a video game console is truly a sign of just how much identity politics has taken over every part of human life. Even the concept of fun and games is supposed to be rejected and only analyzed in its relation to the socio-political agenda of the author. I can't even imagine how one would go on living like this - everything just black and white.
Honestly, I think it's true that the PlayStation 5 won't matter nearly as much this year as it may have some other times, due to the record amount of unemployed people due to current events. That being said, I can't for the life of me understand why they fucking added that as part of a REVIEW. It's like me asking: "is it worth my money?" And then answering: "You won't be able to afford it". Sure, lot's won't be able to afford it, but those who were planning on buying it have now consumed completely worthless content.
@@kurtgomez4171 ehh, it's sell well. PS5 already beat the amount of sales ps4 made in 12 weeks. Same as Xbox. There will no doubt be a slim version but since scalpers exist, have to wait till 2021. Both consoles will be successful in their own lanes.
@@RD-mp8bm Ah yes. Gonna spend those checks that will barely give them enough to eat and house themselves on a freaking video game console... I'd also argue that the people that pre-order are mostly the people with a lot pf money.
This “reviewer” must be fun a person. Imagine him at parties. “Happy birthday little Timmy but that doesn’t matter, does it? because while were a speaking there are people starving to death, North Korea’s dictatorship continues and China keeps building concentration camps where your birthday presents probably come from”
"Hey mom, I want a Playstation 5!" "You know what you should want? Fundamental change in the American Schooling system that provides equal opportunities for success instead of favoring the wealthy who are able to attend without crippling debt." It's the equivalent of finish your plate because there's a child starving in Africa and will probably have the same effect.
I’d like to see that stat balanced against total population size for a start. At some point everything naturally becomes the “biggest/worse” situation in history...
@@rage8010 There are probably more unemployed people, but apparently this guy thinks that the absolute population affected by something matters more than the rate of something. There's more of practically everything, since the population grew since 1929.
@@rage8010 no one sensible is saying that it's worse, it's just that we handled it so FUCKING poorly and with such ignorance. 2020s disasters weren't some crazy set of random events, they were easily preventable situations that the people in could have easily slowed and, get this: entirely stopped in the first place. The Australian prime minister in response to being warned of a countrywide fire risk, took a vacation. While the country was STILL burning to the fucking ground he thought that banning anime of all things was high priority. don't want to make the comment to long, for your sake. Kotaku wrote an article about A Normal Lost Phone claiming it was immoral and terrible because your character violates someone's privacy by going through their phone. But like... they don't say GTA is immoral and terrible because your character steals cars and murders people. The Kotaku writers just take a personal gripe with certain games and force it into every article they can to pad out the word count.
