HORRIFIC INJURY... MATCH ABANDONED! 

A huge shout-out to the medical staff on hand yesterday and I wish Adam McCracken a speedy recovery! He's feeling much better now!

As you shared in the video, Adam McCracken suffered a concussion but has been released from the hospital, we believe that he was knocked out from the first impact but aren't too sure. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes towards Adam, hopefully we'll see him back within a few weeks. In terms of the cows, they've been there since the redevelopment of the town centre years ago, not too sure why mind you. Hopefully get to see you back at Ochilview soon for another game!

You mentioned Stirling Albion's ground being Annfield, like Liverpool's Anfield. The coincidence is very remarkable, because not only because of the name of the grounds but both play in all red, AND while Bill Shankly was manager of Liverpool his brother Bob Shankly was manager of Stirling Albion!

I was fascinated with the cow statues when I visited Stenhousemuir when Annan played them a few years ago. Also 1:15 mad skills!

The cow statues Commemorate Stenhousemuir's history as a centre of the great cattle markets of the 18th century. The use of the word 'Heart' in the sculpture title is intentional implying lovers tryst, but also referring to the cattle trysts as they were known. The sculpture is fabricated in cast iron reflecting the connection with nearby Carron Ironworks. The highland cow was also the logo of the former McCowan's toffee factory established in Stenhousemuir in 1922.

Good video. You should consider visiting the Lothian Junior clubs, some cracking grounds although not quite the glamour of Ochilview. This will be the last ever season of junior football South of Dundee, ending over 100 years of junior football in the area. You can visit all the remaining 12 clubs that stayed junior until the bitter end in a couple of hours. The biggest distance between clubs is less than half an hour so it could make a good groundhopping video.

Used to go to lower league games back in the 80s 90s and that ground has changed a bit,the main stand was on the other side and the present stand was a covered terrace, stenhousemuir cricket clubs ground(the tryst)is just up the road, were quite big at one time (may still be).

It is ironic that the game was switched from Stirling to Stenhousemuir as it was thought the synthetic pitch would deal better with the frost we have had in the last couple of days. There was a match inspection for this I believe and the referee would have consultex the managers and players about whether the game should go ahead

I wonder why the game was allowed to he played at all. There was no drop in temperature during the game that would lead to the pitch getting harder. S.F.A. has to look at this issue with artificial grass.

Davie Irons the Stenhousemuir manager has said there was one area of the pitch that where players were slipping and that as well as the long delay because of the incident with the player was why it was called off

Alan Shields Hamilton South Lanarkshire Scotland. Happy New Year Sam. I think you have to seriously question if that game should of went ahead or not but with the season starting much later than normal due to The Pandemic myb clubs & officials are under pressure to get games on if at all possible. The worst injury I have ever seen was Paisley VS Clydebank in an Amateur level Rugby Union match a few years ago a Clydebank player got what looked like a very serious neck injury he to was down for a long time the ambulance came took the player away & the game was could off in the second half honestly it made me feel sick actually seeing the injury happen it was absolutely brutal never seen anything as bad at a football match personally. Do you have any plans for Footy Adventures Merchandise at all ?.
