A round-table discussion about horror, featuring Clive Barker, Ramsey Campbell, Lisa Tuttle, Roger Corman, John Carpenter and Peter Atkins. From 15th September 1990.
This is so good when you consider their individual work and how they see what will be effective in a story. Super enlightening. They aren't talking dumb intellectual symbolism but the actual mechanics of what they're making.
I love how Ramsey Campbell is just like: "I'm here for the free food and wine!" It's also fascinating that Lisa Tuttle is parodied as Lysa Tully in George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones. They've been friends since the 70's and cowrote a book together.
If only they knew what was coming 30 years later in the millennium.....they sound so innocent bless them....things went bad. Great talk with talents we'll not see again
